Villain's POV: The Heroines Want Me!

For a while, the two followed the man in silence, watching his every movement and gesture. If they were simply suspicious before, then now they were certain that this man was hiding something sinister. No normal person would be moving like that in an amusement park of all places.

But watching him walk around, stopping at stalls to buy snacks or check rides, confused them. They didn't understand what his goal was.

"Is he maybe trying to enjoy a ride?" Rize asked.

"Or trying to make sure anybody following him would lose him eventually or grow tired," Venera replied.

"Fair point…" Rize muttered as he looked at the man. As he turned his neck, Rize saw something on it that made him squint his eyes. 'Is that…?'

Rize didn't know if his eyes were betraying him or not, but he saw a tattoo on the man's neck that was hidden under his coat.

'Tattoos are a very popular symbol in this world. Many of the good and bad people alike use tattoos to show their beliefs, or what they belong to. Hm, I can't tell what he belongs to from this far. We need to get closer.'

But they knew getting closer could risk getting them exposed, so they remained at a good distance, simply trying to follow him without being suspicious.

After what felt like several tours around the entire amusement park, the man suddenly stopped. The two instantly stopped too as they hid behind a wall and watched. He looked left and right before he suddenly walked into an alley.

"..." Rize and Venera looked at each other before they started moving after him. Reaching the small alley between two buildings, they saw the man take a turn to the right at the end. Waiting for a few seconds, they walked into the alley silently, making sure to make no noise.

At the turn, they peeked and saw that he took another turn.

'Where the hell is he going?' Rize frowned as he signaled for Venera to follow him. The two snuck through the maze-like alleyways. They didn't even know that such a path existed in this amusement park.

After several turns, the entire environment seemingly had become unrecognizable. They found themselves around old, closed buildings that were probably used a long time ago before the amusement park decided to abandon them.

Spider webs covered every wall they looked at. Graffiti covered every surface, and the smell of old wood filled the air. The sound of distant screams filled their ears.

"Should we really keep going, Venera? This is already dangerous enough. It might get worse." Rize said.

"If we go back now and tell the cops, they would come here and find nothing. This person is very careful and aware; he would disappear before they could catch him. We need to see what he is about to do." Venera said.

"..." Rize pursed his lips, reluctant but also understanding of her logic. He knew that any attempt to call the cops would just lose them this lead.

So, with that in mind, the two continued walking. Finally, as they took the last turn to the right, they saw something that surprised them. A large set of stairs went into the ground.

"..." Rize and Venera stopped there as they looked around them before they finally nodded and started descending into the underground area of the amusement park.

It was dark, humid, and dusty. The smell was brutal, but when they finally reached the bottom, they found themselves in a whole new world. It was a large open area with countless doors that led into dark tunnels. These tunnels branched everywhere, going to every single corner of the park.

"What the hell… is this place…" Rize muttered as he looked all around him. A sense of unease crept into his heart.

Venera clenched her fist as she searched for the man, finally seeing his silhouette as he walked into one of the tunnels.

"Let's go, Rize," Venera said as she tapped his shoulder and started running.

"This is not going to end well." Rize sighed. 'Her father will absolutely kill me if he knew what we're doing.'

But still, he rushed after her as the two walked into the tunnel after the man. The vision was very limited, but the two were able to figure out the path the man took through. Each path diverged into two different paths, and the two different paths diverged into even more paths.

It was a complete maze that they would've gotten lost in if they weren't using the man as a way to navigate it.

At the same time, they could hear the sound of footsteps above their heads from all the people in the amusement park.

'Why did he come to such a place? What does he want with it…' Rize clenched his teeth. 'Something doesn't add up.'

His senses were telling him that whatever lay under the amusement park, it was not something that should be here.

"Where the hell were you, you damn bastard?!"

Just as the two took a turn, they suddenly heard a voice echo through the tunnels. Instantly, they stepped back and hid from sight.

"I'm here. I had to go to the bathroom for a second."

*SMACK*

"We thought you were caught, idiot! We don't have time for your nonsense!"

"Relax, X. We got plenty of time. Nobody will have time to react, hahaha…" The man they were following replied.

"Right, you sick bastard. That is not the goal. We have a plan and a timeline. If we are late, then who will take the blame, huh? Just put the damn two together." The other voice replied.

Then, a third one, which sounded feminine, replied. "You two, calm down. We can't be fighting pointlessly. Did you set the heads properly?"

"Yeah, in every key place, and I still got a few to spare. Here, take them."

Then, they heard him throw a thing to the woman.

"What is happening?" Rize whispered to Venera.

"I don't know…"

"Check with the others if they took their positions." The man named X said with a cold tone. "I will set the trigger… 15 minutes. That's all the time we have before the Royal Knights arrive."

'Wait… trigger?' Hearing that part, the duo looked at each other as realization struck them and their hearts sank to their stomachs.

What other thing could need a trigger than…

'A bomb.' They thought. 'They want to bomb the place!'

"Things will go well, man. They will get what's coming for them. Those bastards…"

Then, a deep silence fell on the entire place. The two flinched as they thought they might've noticed something. But then…

"Let's do it… For Zathari."

"For Zathari…"

"For Zathari."

"Now, go take your positions."

"Don't die, you idiots."

"You too, X."

With that, Rize and Venera heard two silhouettes coming toward them. Their hands clenched as they looked at each other. No words were needed. They knew what they had to do. Their eyes locked onto the two silhouettes as they emerged from the darkness.

'On my count…' Rize thought. 'Three… Two… One… Now!!'

Instantly, the two emerged from the darkness as they attacked.

"Wha-"

"Who the-"
