Busy Hallway
Entering the bedroom Melina walks over to our bed side and crouches down so her back perfectly lines up with the height of the mattress.
“Are you ready for your bath, Rose?”
“Yeah, but what’s Melina doing?”
“She’s preparing for us to carry us there.”
“Can’t we just walk?”
“It’s a little far for walking in our polymorphed form my dear.”
“Huh…Really?”
“Yes, really. You’ll see soon~”
Mama then picks me up and carries me over to Melina. The moment we sit down, Melina starts to move and we leave the bedroom and enter a hallway. It is just as giant as the bedroom. There also seem to be a lot of Dragons walking around doing things like cleaning or carrying laundry baskets on their backs.
“Wow…Everything is so huge, mama.”
“Pfft One day you will be just as big and even bigger than everyone here and things like this will start to seem small.”
“Really? It’s so hard to imagine…”
“That’s because you’re still so very young my dear. You’ll understand in time and until then I get to enjoy you all small and cute,” Mama says while rubbing her cheek on mine.
Without thinking I lick her face in response before coming to my senses again and trying to get some distance, “I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have done that,” but before I get far, mama holds me back.
“It’s alright Rose. You can give me kisses whenever you want.”
“B-but I shouldn’t. I’m sorry I wasn’t thinking. I’m so stupid.”
“You’re not stupid, Rose. I already told you, didn't I? You’re free to use me however you see fit. If you want to give me kisses you can and if you want me to give you kisses I will gladly oblige.”
“B-but we’re just strangers…”
“Which is exactly why you can take full advantage of me. You’re going to leave anyways, aren’t you? So until then just rest and enjoy yourself. And as a matter of fact I do enjoy getting and giving kisses.”
“R-really?”
“Yes, really!” gently putting me back onto her lap she adds, "Would you like to receive some kisses as well?”
“O-only if you want to as well…”
“Of course I do. Your mama loves giving kisses.”
“You’re such a weirdo…”
“Thank you~ Now let mama give you some kisses!”
Receiving mama’s kisses feels really nice and makes me feel all warm and cozy.
“Oh~ You like it when mama gives you kisses, huh?”
“Gao! I-I mean, yes…”
“Pfft There was no need to say it twice, dear. I understood you the first time.”
After a bit more hugging and kissing something weird comes into view. It’s a hallway that looks like it also functions as a village of some kind. There are multiple cube shaped, normal sized houses stacked on top of each other and normal sized people seemingly just living their life, relaxing, eating and drinking together. There even seem to be some entertainment places there like a stage where people play music and dance.
“Mama, what’s happening there?”
“Those are the servants quarters for non-Dragons and Dragons that prefer to stay in their polymorphed form.”
“Huh…Why do you need servants that aren’t Dragons? Can they even do anything in a giant castle like this?”
“Of course they can! They are all capable individuals and there are many jobs they can do like taking care of the guestrooms for non-Dragons and making food for people of polymorphed sizes.”
“And they just have their own little villages inside the castle?”
“I guess you could call them that, yes. It would be inconvenient if they had to traverse the giant castle and go back to town anytime they wanted to enjoy themselves so we have many places for them to stay entertained and live normal lives inside these walls.”
“That’s really cool!”
“Kikikiki, right?”
“Do you want to wave at them, dear? I’m sure they’ll be thankful if you do.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, they’ll love it!”
“Then I’ll wave.”
“Perfect, let’s wave together. Melina if you please.”
“Of course your Majesty. Uhum. Her xxx and xxx Rose, xxx xxx!”
Almost in an instant their festivities stop and they all don a big smile as they stand up and salute by putting their fist on their heart and their other arm forward with their palm up as if they’re trying to give us something.
In unison they say something I don’t understand and seem really happy when mama and I wave at them. Some even cheer and I think I saw one really buff guy faint.
“They really are super happy. What is that thing they said?”
“They said ‘Glory to the great flame. May the fire of the empire always burn brightly.’ It’s how you show respect to the royal family here in Blaze. And of course they’re happy they just got to see the new princess for the first time and their beloved queen.”
“Is that really something to be so happy about?”
“Of course, my dear. We’re the most famous people in Blaze after all.”
“Even me?”
“Of course you as well. Especially once I officially announce your birth to the public.”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea? I mean, I’m just going to stay for a bit then leave.”
“So? You’re still my lovely little daughter and I want to tell other people you’re alive.”
“Pfft You really are a weirdo.”
“I sure am~”
