Just One Orgasm!

Chapter 109.

The room was silent.

It was silent in the way a room became silent when everyone inside it understood that making the wrong sound could cost them dearly.

Dante sat at the center of it.

He occupied a black leather chair with one leg crossed casually over the other. His black suit was immaculate, with his shirt buttoned neatly beneath his jacket, and not a single strand of dark hair appeared out of place.

He looked almost bored.

A man knelt several feet before him.

Blood had already stained the front of his shirt. One eye was swollen, and his breathing came in short, painful bursts.

Dante looked down at him. "Where is it?"

The man swallowed. "I told you, Boss. I don’t have it."

Dante’s expression didn’t change. "The tracking device."

"I don’t know anything about it."

Dante tilted his head. His green eyes hardened. "You were assigned to transport it."

"I never saw it."

A man standing behind the kneeling prisoner stepped forward.

The punch came without warning.

The prisoner fell sideways, catching himself with one hand before collapsing onto the floor.

Dante didn’t move. "Search him again."

Two men immediately grabbed the prisoner.

They searched his pockets, his shoes, and his jacket. They checked beneath his collar and searched every compartment in the clothing he wore.

There was nothing.

The men exchanged glances. "Nothing, Boss."

Dante stared at the prisoner.

The man was breathing heavily now.

"Please."

Dante’s gaze remained fixed on him. "You’ve been working for me for four years."

"Yes."

"You know what I don’t tolerate."

The man lowered his head. "Lies." He answered.

Dante said nothing immediately. He leaned back. "And yet you’ve lied to me three times tonight."

"I haven’t."

Dante lifted one finger. "First, you said you never received the device."

The man looked up.

"Then you said you received it but handed it to someone else." Dante lifted another finger. "And now you’re telling me you never saw it."

The man’s lips parted.

Dante’s eyes hardened. "Which one is the truth?"

The man trembled. "Boss, I swear—"

Another blow cut him off.

He groaned, curling slightly as his hands went to his stomach.

"We’ve searched everywhere, Boss." One of Dante’s men stepped away from him. "He doesn’t have any device on him."

Dante remained silent.

His fingers rested against the arm of his chair. He tapped on the arm rest softly.

The room waited.

Dante’s eyes lowered toward the bloodied man.bThe device wasn’t large. That was what made it dangerous.

It was a tiny tracking unit, shaped like a diamond. Small enough to hide almost anywhere.

Expensive enough that only a handful of people knew it existed.

It was dangerous enough that Dante had killed three people already simply because he suspected they knew where it was.

He hadn’t found it. That irritated him. Someone had been clever enough to hide it from him.

Dante hated clever people. He preferred predictable enemies. They were easier to destroy.

He uncrossed his legs. "Bring the table."

Everyone in the room went still.

The prisoner looked up. His face changed. "No."

Dante looked at him. "No?"

The man’s breathing became frantic. "Boss, please."

Dante didn’t answer.

Two men moved toward the far side of the room.

A metal table was pushed forward.

The prisoner immediately tried to crawl backward. "No. No, please."

Two men seized him.

He struggled violently. "I told you everything!"

Dante watched him without a visible expression. "You haven’t."

"I swear!"

The men dragged him toward the table.

He kicked, and one of them caught his ankle. The other grabbed his shoulders.

The prisoner screamed. "Please!"

Dante stood. His shoes clicked softly against the floor as he approached. The prisoner stared at him with terror.

"I don’t have it."

Dante stopped beside him. "Then you have nothing to fear."

The man’s face drained of color.

Dante looked toward the doctor standing quietly at the edge of the room.

"Doctor."

The doctor stepped forward.

He was older, perhaps in his fifties, with a calm expression that didn’t betray the slightest emotion.

Dante looked at him. "Find it."

The doctor nodded.

The men forced the prisoner onto the table. His wrists and ankles were restrained, and he began shouting.

"Please!"

No one answered.

"Boss!"

Dante walked toward the head of the table.

The prisoner looked directly at him. "You know me."

Dante stopped.

"You know I’ve worked for you."

"I do." Dante nodded.

"I’ve never betrayed you."

Dante’s expression remained cold. "Then this should be simple."

The prisoner stared at him, with his jaw kn the floor.

"Where is the device?"

"I don’t know."

Dante looked at the doctor. "Begin."

The doctor prepared his instruments. A few seconds later, the prisoner’s screams filled the room.

None of Dante’s men reacted. They had seen worse, and they had done worse.

Dante simply stood there.

His eyes never left the prisoner.

The procedure was quick. The doctor worked with practiced precision, searching for the hidden device.

Minutes passed.

The prisoner’s cries eventually weakened into ragged breaths, then the doctor stopped.

He reached carefully into the opening in the man’s lower abdomen, and pulled something free.

A tiny object rested between his gloved fingers.

It was covered in blood. It was a diamond-shaped device. The room became silent.

The doctor raised it. "Found it."

Dante stared at the object.

For the first time that night, his expression changed. Satisfaction clothed his expression.

He stepped closer. "Give it to me."

The doctor placed the device into his palm.

Dante examined it. He turned it between his fingers. "So." His voice was quiet. "You did have it."

The prisoner could barely keep his eyes open. "I... didn’t know..."

Dante looked at him. "You expected me to believe that?"

"I didn’t..."

Dante turned toward one of his men. "Who supplied it?"

The man immediately understood. "We’ll find out."

Dante nodded.

He looked down at the device again.

There was something unusual about it. He pressed one side, and a tiny light appeared, then disappeared.

Dante’s eyes narrowed. "Bring me the technical file."

One of the men left immediately.

Dante turned toward the doctor. "Keep him alive."

The doctor looked at him. "Alive?"

"For now." Dante returned his attention to the device.

The prisoner closed his eyes.

Dante noticed. He taped the man’s cheek twice. "Don’t sleep."

The man’s eyes opened again.

Dante crouched beside the table. "You’ve made one mistake."

The prisoner stared at him weakly.

"You assumed I was looking for the device because I wanted to know where it was." Dante’s eyes became colder. "I’m looking for it because I want to know who wanted me to find it."

The prisoner said nothing.

Dante stood. His men remained silent around him. He walked toward the window.

The city stretched beyond the glass, illuminated by thousands of lights.

The door opened. A man entered carrying a tablet. "Boss."

Dante held out his hand.

The tablet was placed in it. He studied the information. His eyes moved slowly across the screen, then stopped.

The tracking device wasn’t merely a locator.

It had been modified.

Dante’s expression hardened. "Who modified this?"

"We’re still checking."

"Check faster."

"Yes, Boss."

Dante looked at the device again.

A faint smile touched his lips. His gaze moved to the men surrounding the table. "Start with everyone who knows about this device."

One man hesitated. "Everyone?"

Dante looked at him. "Everyone."

The man nodded immediately.

Dante’s eyes dropped toward the bloodied prisoner.

"And him?"

Dante was silent for a moment. Then he turned away. "Keep him tortured, but alive."

The men looked surprised.

Dante noticed. He glanced over his shoulder. "I may have more questions."

He walked toward the door. Before leaving, he stopped. "And clean this room."bHis voice remained calm. "I don’t like blood on my floors."

The door closed behind him.

Inside the room, nobody spoke.

Dante continued down the corridor alone, the tiny diamond-shaped device still resting between his fingers.

He looked down at it once more.

His phone vibrated.

A message appeared.

NEW YORK.

Dante stopped walking.

Another message followed.

THE GIRL SAW HER.

His expression changed. For several seconds, he simply stared at the screen, then he smiled.

He typed one response, then he put the phone away, and continued walking.

He had spent years hiding behind names, companies, signals, and false trails. But now someone had finally stepped close enough to see his shadow.

And Dante had never been afraid of being seen. He was only afraid of being bored.
