My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 235: Super 6th Sense

"Okay," Su Linsheng nodded. He got into the car with the help of He Tao and the others.

Chu Feng had actually come here prepared for a massacre, but he hadn’t expected these guys to be such pushovers.

Before he could even start, the militants had already fled, completely terrified of him.

As long as Su Linsheng was safe, Chu Feng wasn’t going to press the matter.

But if anything had happened to his father-in-law, Chu Feng would have made them pay.

Su Linsheng wasn’t one to dawdle either. After all, he was lucky just to have made it out alive. All he wanted now was to get out of there as quickly as possible.

"Minister He, let’s go. Now," Chu Feng said as he got into the car, telling He Tao to drive.

The group sped away, racing back the way they came.

The gas pedal was practically floored.

About ten minutes later, a piercing sound suddenly tore through the sky.

Chu Feng’s expression changed the instant he heard it.

"Stop the car!" Chu Feng yelled.

Though confused, He Tao did as Chu Feng said and slammed on the brakes.

"Mr. Chu, what is it?" He Tao asked, completely bewildered by Chu Feng’s actions.

"Go! Run!" Chu Feng suddenly roared.

His shout sent a jolt of alarm through everyone. None of them knew what was happening.

But they did as Chu Feng said, scrambling out of the cars and running for their lives.

They scattered to both sides of the road.

Just as they’d made it a few dozen meters away, a massive explosion erupted.

BOOM!

The car was instantly blown into the air, engulfed in a sea of flames.

Shrapnel whizzed past their heads, and the shockwave nearly knocked them off their feet.

They were lucky they had run so fast. If they’d been even a second slower, they would have all been toast.

A wave of cold fear washed over them, and their faces turned grim.

Several people swallowed hard, the terror on their faces plain to see.

"That... That was too close!" He Tao exclaimed, his face pale with the look of someone who had just escaped death.

When he looked at Chu Feng, his eyes were filled with admiration.

If it hadn’t been for Chu Feng, they’d all be ground meat right now.

"Mr. Chu, you’re a lifesaver. If it weren’t for you, we would’ve all died back there," He Tao said, his voice thick with gratitude.

"Yes, thank you, Mr. Chu," many others echoed, all grateful to Chu Feng.

"This is no time for small talk. See how many cars are still drivable. We’ll have to squeeze in. Let’s move," Chu Feng ordered, his expression grim.

’If they fire another missile, none of us will make it out of here.’

Of the seven cars, the explosion had damaged three. However, aside from the one that had been blown to bits, the others were still drivable.

Fortunately, the vehicles were all custom-built with thick, armored steel plates and bulletproof glass, so a typical explosive shockwave could do little to harm them.

The crucial thing was that not a single person was injured. Not so much as a scratch.

If word of this got out, it would be considered a miracle.

A convoy on the move had effortlessly dodged a missile strike from the sky. And, most importantly, aside from one obliterated vehicle, everyone was completely unharmed.

Thankfully, there were no further attacks on the way back. They all returned to the villa, shaken but unharmed.

Inside the villa, the moment Su Miaoke and her mother saw Su Linsheng step out of the car, they both burst into tears.

Su Linsheng looked utterly haggard; it was clear he had suffered immensely.

"Dad!" Su Miaoke cried, throwing herself into her father’s arms.

Her mother did the same, and the two of them held Su Linsheng in a tight embrace.

"Honey."

Tears streamed down Su Linsheng’s face as well. He had truly thought he would never return, that he had no hope of ever seeing his wife and daughter again.

"My daughter... my wife... I missed you so much," Su Linsheng sobbed. "Thank god for Xiao Feng. I wouldn’t have made it without him."

Thinking back on what had happened, a fresh wave of terror washed over him.

"You’re all right now, that’s what matters. We can go home soon. We’re not staying here anymore," his wife said, tears streaming down her face.

"No. We’ve invested so much manpower and resources here. How can you say we should just give it up?" Su Linsheng immediately refused.

"Dad, you can have someone else manage it. You don’t need to come here yourself. It’s too dangerous," Su Miaoke interjected, clearly unhappy.

"That’s true," Su Linsheng conceded with a nod. "In any case, the groundwork has been laid. We just need to bring our products over and start selling."

Watching the family’s tearful reunion, Chu Feng sighed to himself.

"Dad, Mom, Miaoke, why don’t you all go inside and talk. And get Dad something to eat. He hasn’t eaten in a long time," Chu Feng said.

"Okay."

The three of them quickly went into the villa.

Just then, Chu Feng turned to He Tao.

"Minister He, I need a favor," Chu Feng said.

"Mr. Chu, whatever you need, just say the word. You saved my life," He Tao agreed without a moment’s hesitation.

’It’s true,’ he thought. ’If it weren’t for Chu Feng, I’d be barbecued meat by now.’

"Do you know where those criminals are hiding?" Chu Feng asked.

The criminals’ actions had infuriated Chu Feng. Seeing his family so heartbroken, he knew he couldn’t let this go.

Besides, they had all nearly been killed on the way back.

If it weren’t for his keen perception and sharp sixth sense, they would already be dead.

"Mr. Chu, surely you’re not planning to...?" He Tao looked at Chu Feng, his eyes wide with disbelief.

"I am. Get me their location. I don’t care about the cost or what it takes," Chu Feng said.

"That’s doable. It won’t take much to find them," He Tao said, his expression turning grave. "But they have a lot of men. The reports say their total force is close to a thousand."

"I’m not afraid. Just get me their location and any intel you have on them," Chu Feng replied.

"Alright. I’ll get a map," He Tao said.

He Tao returned shortly with a map and marked a location for Chu Feng.

He then had someone bring Chu Feng a file with information on the criminals.

Chu Feng glanced at the file. The man in charge was a Black leader; the Asian man he had killed earlier was just a minor subordinate.

Staring at the photo of the Black man, Chu Feng’s heart seethed with rage.

’You goddamn black bastard! You just wait! So you’re the old scumbag who organized my father-in-law’s kidnapping!’
