My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 192: One Match to Decide the Winner

"With just this much strength, it’s no wonder you didn’t dare to compete." Chu Feng smiled, and it was a wild, unrestrained smile.

In Tang Qian’s eyes, that smile was a deep humiliation.

When Zhao Quan saw this, his eyes widened in shock, his face plastered with an expression of excitement.

"Tang Qian, you worthless piece of trash! You can’t even beat my Big Brother’s two fingers! Hand over the seal now, or you’ll be in for a world of hurt today," Zhao Quan shouted arrogantly, pointing and cursing at Tang Qian.

With Chu Feng backing him up, Zhao Quan couldn’t have been more arrogant.

Tang Qian tried to draw his longsword, but he couldn’t budge it.

"Can we have a proper talk now?" Chu Feng asked coolly.

He was only here for Zhao Quan’s seal; he didn’t want to get involved in anything else.

He glanced at Tang Qian. Though the man seemed arrogant and unruly, his Sin Value was surprisingly low—only a dozen or so points.

"Fine." Though Tang Qian was seething inside, he had no choice but to agree.

Chu Feng released his fingers and slowly sat down on a nearby sofa.

Zhao Quan also sat down without a hint of politeness.

"Where’s the item? Hurry up and hand it over, or don’t blame us for getting rough," Zhao Quan said angrily. He was hot-tempered to begin with, and now he had been scammed out of the seal by Tang Qian.

If he didn’t get that seal back, he was a dead man.

"Zhao Quan, you were the one who made a bet with me yesterday. You lost. How do you have the nerve to ask for it back? Even if your Patriarch came, he wouldn’t dare act like you," Tang Qian said, his expression darkening. He was extremely displeased with Zhao Quan’s attitude.

"Cut the damn crap and hand it over, or this isn’t over!" Zhao Quan exploded with rage upon hearing this. He no longer cared about whether it was a bet or not.

If he didn’t get the item back, he would be completely finished.

Chu Feng remained silent off to the side, which was tantamount to giving Zhao Quan his tacit approval.

After all, Chu Feng had no goodwill toward the Tang Family. Those people from the Tang Family were capable of every evil.

Although this Tang Qian’s Sin Value was a bit lower, it didn’t mean Chu Feng would feel any warmth toward him.

"What? You’re a sore loser who won’t honor a bet?" Tang Qian was also angered, not expecting Zhao Quan to be such a scoundrel.

"Enough." At this moment, Chu Feng stood up and spoke.

"Since you won this item from him in a bet, how about I make a bet with you? If I win, I take the seal. How about it?" Chu Feng said.

"You?" Tang Qian shot Chu Feng a contemptuous glance. "What could you possibly have to bet against me? The Zhao Family’s seal can mobilize hundreds of billions in assets in Beihai. What can you offer?"

Tang Qian didn’t respect Chu Feng at all. Although he knew Chu Feng was powerful, Tang Qian was unconvinced and refused to believe he would lose to him in a contest.

Besides, he had come to Beihai specifically to investigate the matter of the two brothers, Tang Mu and Tang Lin. The family placed great importance on their deaths.

So, he had been sent to investigate Chu Feng’s background.

Therefore, he had actually been eager for a chance to test himself against Chu Feng for a while.

"Go to the car and bring me that sword," Chu Feng said to Zhao Quan.

"The one you put in the car when you got in, Big Brother?" Zhao Quan asked.

He had indeed seen Chu Feng bring a sword with him into the car, but he hadn’t paid it much attention.

After all, for a disciple of a Martial Arts Family, a sword was the most normal thing in the world.

When Tang Qian heard this, he burst out laughing.

"A sword? How much could your sword possibly be worth? Even one made of solid gold and studded with diamonds couldn’t compare to this seal." Tang Qian laughed heartily, his expression full of derision and his eyes filled with contempt.

Chu Feng ignored Tang Qian’s expression.

Soon, Zhao Quan returned with the sword.

"Big Brother, this sword is so heavy! It must weigh over fifty pounds, right?" Zhao Quan said with a look of surprise. He was struggling a bit just to hold it with one hand.

"Yeah, about that." Chu Feng nodded and then took the sword.

As Tang Qian looked at the sword, his expression was still full of disdain.

"This sword... should be enough, right?" After speaking, Chu Feng drew the longsword directly from its sheath.

In an instant, the crisp hum of vibrating metal rang out.

A flash of cold light instantly illuminated Tang Qian’s face.

"What a sharp sword!"

Both Zhao Quan and Tang Qian were stunned.

From the sound of it being drawn alone, they could tell this sword was extraordinary.

"Heaven-Slaying?" Tang Qian saw the characters on the sword’s blade. It was ancient script.

Although most people in modern society no longer used ancient script, the majority of Martial Arts Families still did.

In other words, the sword had a significant origin; it had to have come from a Martial Arts Family at the very least.

While Tang Qian was still in shock, Chu Feng simply swung the sword with a casual flick of his wrist.

All of them felt a faint breeze from the blade flash past.

Then, the enormous crystal chandelier in the living room came crashing down, having been severed by the single sword strike.

"How’s the sword?" Chu Feng asked.

"Where did you get this sword?" Tang Qian couldn’t calm his racing heart for a long time. He never would have imagined that Chu Feng could produce such an incredibly sharp blade.

"That’s none of your business. I’ll ask you one last time: how is this sword? Is it worthy of being a wager?" Chu Feng asked, his tone icy.

Tang Qian swallowed hard, his eyes filled with greed, and quickly nodded. "It is! It is!"

He had fallen in love with the sword at first sight.

It wasn’t just him; even Zhao Quan was staring at it, completely transfixed.

He never thought that the sword Chu Feng had brought into the car could be so powerful.

"So, state the terms. How do we compete? One round to decide it all, or what?" Chu Feng asked.

"Let’s do it like this: we fight a round bare-handed. No one is allowed to use weapons. How about it? The first one to hit the floor loses," Tang Qian said with a smile, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"Big Brother, be careful. This guy uses poison. I fell for his trick yesterday. Otherwise, there’s no way he could have taken me out in an instant," Zhao Quan said to Chu Feng.

Tang Qian looked at Zhao Quan and said with a smile, "Zhao Quan, your own skills were inferior. Don’t stand there spouting nonsense."

"You son of a bitch! Do you dare admit it? If you hadn’t poisoned me and made me dizzy, would I have lost?" Zhao Quan was furious.

"Do you have any proof? It’s clear you’re just anemic, yet you slander me by claiming I used poison," Tang Qian sneered.

There was no way he would admit to using poison.

In truth, during their match that day, he had indeed drugged Zhao Quan right at the start. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have won so easily.

"Alright, enough nonsense. Let’s begin," Chu Feng said, tossing the sword directly to Zhao Quan.

If they were going to compete, then they should get on with it. Chu Feng hated wasting time on talk.

"Fine. To my training room," Tang Qian nodded, then stood up and led Chu Feng and the others to his training room.

After arriving in the training room, the two stood several meters apart.

Both of them were bare-handed.

"One round to decide the winner!" Tang Qian declared.
