Chapter 187: Beautiful Receptionist
Upon hearing this, Chu Feng’s expression turned curious as well.
"Really? I’ll have a taste too," Chu Feng said, a little skeptical.
He had never even tried his younger brother’s noodles before.
Chu Hao served Chu Feng a bowl. When Chu Feng took his first bite, he lifted his head and gave his younger brother a deep look.
"When did you learn to do this?" Chu Feng asked.
"Just back when I was at school. I used to make myself noodles for breakfast," Chu Hao said.
"Xiao Hao, your noodle-making skills are incredible. These are the best noodles I’ve ever had in my life," Su Miaoke praised.
Hearing his sister-in-law’s lavish praise, Chu Hao smiled. "I’m just glad you like them, sister-in-law. I can make them for you often in the future."
"Okay, it’s a deal," Su Miaoke agreed with a nod.
After that, Su Miaoke single-handedly finished two-thirds of the huge pot of noodles.
Chu Feng and Chu Hao only had one bowl each.
"Sister-in-law, big bro, I’m heading to work," Chu Hao said.
"Let me drive you. It’s your first day, and you might not know the way," Chu Feng said.
"It’s okay, big bro. Brother Feng sent me the location. I know how to get there myself," Chu Hao said.
"Xiao Hao, take my car. This Mercedes S-Class is yours from now on. I don’t really use it anyway, and a guy looks sharp driving a car like this," Su Miaoke said, handing the keys to Chu Hao.
Chu Hao took them and then drove himself to work.
After eating and drinking their fill, Chu Feng and Su Miaoke took a walk outside the villa and did some reading.
A few hours later, Chu Feng suddenly said to Su Miaoke, "We should go check on Xiao Hao. I’m a little worried he might feel out of place."
"Okay. I knew you’d be worried. Look at you, all distracted," Su Miaoke said with a smile.
"Besides, I haven’t been over there in a while. We can take a look around," Chu Feng said with a laugh.
"Fine. We don’t have anything else to do anyway. I’ll go with you and we can look around. We should move to Beihai Bay in the future, though," Su Miaoke said.
"Sure, we can talk about that later," Chu Feng agreed with a nod.
Then, Chu Feng drove Su Miaoke toward Gao Feng’s factory.
After all, Chu Hao was just entering the workforce and would inevitably feel a bit out of his element. Plus, he was starting as a vice president. Anyone in that position would probably feel some trepidation.
By the time Chu Feng and Su Miaoke arrived at the factory, it was almost noon.
Chu Feng hadn’t told Gao Feng he was coming. The factory grounds were busy, with many workers moving and unloading goods.
"Why don’t I see Xiao Hao?" Su Miaoke asked, looking all around but not spotting him.
"Are you silly? He’s here to be a vice president, not a manual laborer. He’s obviously in the office," Chu Feng said.
The entire factory complex had actually expanded quite a bit after this period of development, and it now had a dedicated office area.
Though it was rented, it was still quite large. In fact, it could be considered a medium-sized factory now.
Chu Feng took a look around when he arrived. Gao Feng had now leased the entire complex. There were over a thousand workers, three cafeterias, and three dormitory buildings.
Chu Feng was relatively familiar with the place, since he and Gao Feng had found this factory complex together back then.
Back then, limited funds meant they had only rented one workshop and one dormitory building. Now that they’d expanded, they had taken over all the other workshops and dormitories as well.
"Come with me." Chu Feng cut through the workshop, crossed to the other side, and led Su Miaoke to a small, three-story building.
This was the office for the entire factory complex, capable of accommodating several hundred people.
The first floor was the reception area, the second floor was for office staff, and the third floor was Gao Feng’s office.
As they walked in on the first floor, a beautiful receptionist asked, "Hello, who are you two looking for?"
"I’m looking for Gao Feng," Chu Feng said.
"Okay, please wait a moment, sir. I’ll call President Gao for you," the receptionist said very politely. She was wearing a professional uniform that highlighted her figure.
Chu Feng couldn’t help but chuckle. ’That guy. Sure enough, as soon as he makes it big, he just has to hire beautiful receptionists.’
"Hm? What do you mean by that?" Su Miaoke asked, a little confused.
"Back in college, the guy said that if he ever became a boss, he would definitely hire a few beautiful receptionists to build up the company’s image," Chu Feng explained with a smile.
Hearing this, Su Miaoke also started laughing. "Well, he certainly knows what men want."
"If this place does well, it can become our manufacturing plant when we start our own pharmaceutical company later," Chu Feng said.
"You really want to start a pharmaceutical company? Are you actually planning to sell that Medicinal Liquid on the market?" Su Miaoke asked in surprise.
"Yeah. It’s something that can help everyone, so of course we should sell it if we can," Chu Feng said.
"But can you guarantee a steady supply?" Su Miaoke asked doubtfully.
After all, she knew how long it took Chu Feng to refine the Medicinal Liquid—it was painfully slow, and it consumed a huge amount of medicinal herbs.
"That’s easy. We’ll just dilute it with water, sell it in limited quantities, and charge a high price," Chu Feng said with a smile.
In truth, he had already thought through all of Su Miaoke’s concerns.
"But we already have so much money. Are you starting a pharmaceutical company just to earn more?" Su Miaoke asked.
"Not necessarily. It’s just a goal for now. Maybe in the future, we’ll supply it exclusively to people with weaker constitutions to help them build up their strength," Chu Feng said.
While the two were talking, Gao Feng came down from upstairs. At first, he didn’t realize who it was.
But after checking the security camera, he immediately rushed downstairs.
"You psycho, why didn’t you give me a heads-up you were coming? And remember," Gao Feng said, turning to instruct the receptionist as he came down, "this is President Chu and President Su. The moment they arrive, bring them straight upstairs to me."
"Yes, President Gao," the receptionist hurriedly replied with a nod.
"How’s my brother doing?" Chu Feng asked.
"He’s working. He’s Vice President Chu now. His major was in the technical field, so I’m planning to have him oversee technical production. I’ve already assigned someone to train him personally," Gao Feng said with a smile.
"He just got here and you’re already putting him in charge of technical stuff? Does he know how?" Chu Feng asked, a little surprised.
"Let’s go upstairs first. We can talk over some tea," Gao Feng said to Chu Feng.
"So where is he now?" Su Miaoke asked.
"I had one of the managers take him to get familiar with the factory grounds and some of the production processes. He needs at least a general understanding of the company, right? With me backing him up, he’ll definitely get the hang of it," Gao Feng said.
