Chapter 164: The Shocked Saleswoman
"Qingyao, what do you think?" Chu Feng’s mother-in-law asked Jiang Qingyao.
As a young woman from the countryside, Jiang Qingyao had never seen such extravagance. She was stunned just hearing the price.
"This... This is too expensive, isn’t it? Two hundred million!" Jiang Qingyao’s voice became much fainter.
To her, the price was simply astronomical. It was terrifying.
"Qingyao, you don’t have to worry about the money," Chu Feng’s mother-in-law said nonchalantly. "An amount like this is just small change to your brother-in-law. It’s nothing."
"..." Chu Feng was at a loss for words.
’Why does it sound like she’s treating me like some kind of sucker?’ he thought.
"Mom, how can you be so shameless? That’s four hundred million for both villas, and you call it ’small change’?" Su Miaoke was shocked by her mother’s audacity. She couldn’t believe she would say something like that; it was simply inconceivable.
"I’m not talking to you. I’m talking to my son-in-law." Chu Feng’s mother-in-law completely dismissed Su Miaoke.
"Xiao Feng, you just said you were going to buy houses for your brother-in-law and your brother. Shouldn’t you buy the very best? So, what do you think of these two?" his mother-in-law asked.
Chu Feng took a look and thought they were actually quite nice. The locations of Villas One and Two were the best, with superb lighting, ventilation, and views.
"Miaoke, what do you think?" Chu Feng was satisfied, but he still wanted to get Su Miaoke’s opinion.
"They’re fine. Aside from being a bit of a money pit, there’s nothing wrong with them," Su Miaoke said. The Yao Lake development had only recently opened, and its location was actually much better than their own Bright Moon Mountain Villa.
"Alright, we’ll take these two then," Chu Feng said with a nod.
"Xiao Feng is so generous. But it looks like these two only have basic renovations. There’s no furniture or anything. They’ll need to be properly decorated," his mother-in-law added.
"The renovations are a small matter. Another hundred million should be enough," Chu Feng said.
Chu Feng’s mother-in-law was instantly overjoyed. She loved the villas, but the main reason for her happiness was that she didn’t have to pay a dime.
Su Miaoke could only stand aside, feeling resigned and silent. ’What can I even say at this point?’ she thought. ’If I keep disagreeing, Su Jun will probably end up hating my guts.’
"Su Jun, you’d better treat Qingyao right," Su Miaoke warned him. "If you dare to mess around again or do anything to hurt her, you can forget about your car, your house, and your job. I mean it."
The truth was, Su Miaoke was mainly worried about Su Jun’s irresponsible and unreliable nature. Otherwise, with her personality, she wouldn’t hesitate to buy a two-billion-yuan villa for him, let alone one worth two hundred million.
"Alright, Sis! Don’t you worry, I’ll definitely behave and treat Qingyao well," Su Jun said, his face beaming. He was incredibly excited.
"Qingyao, from now on, you’ll have to keep a close eye on Su Jun. Don’t let him act recklessly or waste money. Even if you have money, it needs to be spent on the right things, understand?" Su Miaoke added, turning to Jiang Qingyao.
"Sis, please don’t worry," Jiang Qingyao said, looking at Su Miaoke earnestly. "You really don’t need to buy such an expensive house. I like Su Jun for the person he is, not for a house. As long as he’s with me, I’d be happy living anywhere."
"Good. If he gets out of line, just give me a call. I’ll come settle his accounts," Su Miaoke said.
In truth, the only reason she was so hard on Su Jun was because of two previous incidents that had given everyone a huge scare. And yet, the guy still hadn’t learned his lesson.
If it hadn’t been for Chu Feng, he would have been dead long ago—either run over by a car or hacked to death.
「Soon after」
The entire sales office was in shock. They had just had their grand opening this morning, and the two most expensive villas with the best locations were already sold to Chu Feng’s family.
Even many wealthy people would have to think twice before buying, because while Beihai had many villa communities, there were also plenty of other high-end districts to choose from.
"Excuse me, will that be card or cash?" the salesperson asked, her voice trembling slightly. This was the first time she had ever closed such a massive deal. Four hundred million in one go! It was as if the God of Wealth himself had descended.
"Cash? Are you sure you could even carry it?" Su Miaoke laughed.
Four hundred million in cash would take the better part of a day to withdraw, and a single bank branch certainly wouldn’t have that much physical cash on hand.
"By the way, can you show us the properties first? We can definitely finalize the purchase today," Chu Feng asked.
"Of course. Our houses are all completely built. As soon as payment is made, you can move in. You can also choose to redecorate, of course. All the paperwork is ready, and we can complete the transfer of ownership today," the salesperson said.
"Great. Please lead the way," Chu Feng said with a nod.
"Alright, please follow me." The salesperson’s legs were even shaking a little as she walked. The whole situation was just too overwhelming.
’If this deal goes through,’ she thought, ’my commission is going to be huge.’
"When is your boss arriving? My husband and he are old acquaintances," Chu Feng’s mother-in-law said with a smile. "When I came by this morning, he told me he’d give me a discount."
In reality, she just wanted to show off that she had connections and was not short on cash.
Hearing this, the saleswoman was even more stunned.
She then led Chu Feng’s family to the Yao Lake development. The moment they stepped into Villa One, everyone was taken aback.
The landscaping, roads, and amenities were all complete. The villa itself had some basic renovations done, which would be considered quite luxurious by the average person.
For someone as wealthy as Chu Feng, however, the quality of the renovations was perhaps a little lacking.
"Honey, the style of these Yao Lake villas is very similar to the ones at Beihai Bay," Su Miaoke remarked with some surprise after looking around.
"Ma’am, you’ve been to Beihai Bay?" the saleswoman asked, seeming very excited at the mention of the name.
You couldn’t blame her for her excitement. In all of Beihai, Beihai Bay was considered one of the top three most exclusive villa communities.
Even the wealthy couldn’t simply buy a property there, because its residents were the rich and powerful—the kind of rich who were hundred-billion-yuan tycoons.
"Yes, I have a villa there as well," Su Miaoke said with a nod.
Hearing this, the saleswoman was once again completely floored.
It all made sense to her now. She finally understood why these people could so casually decide to buy two villas at once for four hundred million. These weren’t just rich people; they were the real deal.
After snapping out of her daze, the saleswoman quickly began to introduce the layout of the houses to Chu Feng and his family, leading them upstairs and showing them around.
"Excellent. I’m very satisfied with this villa. It’s just that the renovations are a bit cheap," Su Jun remarked.
