My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 162: Buying a House for 80 Million

"Why’d you decide to buy something for Chu Hao?" Chu Feng asked, a little curious when he heard that.

"None of your business. You’re allowed to buy things for Su Jun, but I’m not allowed to buy something for Chu Hao?" Su Miaoke retorted, looking indignant.

"If Su Jun heard you say that, he’d probably call you even stingier," Chu Feng said with a laugh.

"Me, stingy? If I wasn’t a little strict with him, he’d be walking on air! He even sold my private number to my suitors. Do you really think I’m being too hard on him?" Su Miaoke said, fully self-righteous.

She was truly disappointed in Su Jun for not living up to his potential, mainly because he used to be such a scoundrel.

"Well, now I can understand why you resent him so much," Chu Feng said with a smile.

Soon, Chu Feng drove the big Benz back to the factory complex.

Once back, he dove straight into the Alchemy Room and began his work.

After all, the one thing he was short on right now was Medicinal Liquid. He needed to refine more Nourishing Source Liquid.

He worked straight through the night.

「The next morning, before the sun was even up, Jiang Tao arrived.」

The man was incredibly punctual, not a second late.

This time, however, Jiang Tao’s entire Essence, Qi, and Spirit was clearly much improved. His face was even glowing with happiness.

When Chu Feng asked him about it, he just gave a mysterious smile and refused to say a word, only commenting that "spring has arrived."

This left Chu Feng speechless. ’The guy probably found a woman.’

After all, with Chu Feng treating him every day and the effects getting better and better, how could he not feel an itch he needed to scratch?

After about ten minutes of treatment, Jiang Tao left Chu Feng’s place, looking quite pleased with himself.

Watching Jiang Tao’s retreating figure, Chu Feng shook his head in resignation.

’It’s a good thing Jiang Tao’s rich,’ Chu Feng thought. ’If he were poor, no one would give him the time of day.’

After all, for someone of his status, finding a woman to have children with was easy.

Finding a young, beautiful girl with fair skin and long legs would take him no time at all.

"He probably went and found some young girl," Su Miaoke commented from the side, having also noticed something was off.

"Probably," Chu Feng agreed with a nod.

With Jiang Tao’s net worth, if he wanted a woman, all he’d have to do is say the word, and the line would probably stretch from one end of Beihai to the other.

Society these days was overrun with materialism. Everyone chased the pleasures that possessions could bring, completely abandoning any sense of inner, spiritual fulfillment.

This, in turn, led to a large number of gold-diggers with impossibly high standards but no skills of their own. They had nothing to offer besides a pretty face and were otherwise worthless.

Just then, Chu Feng’s phone rang.

"It’s Su Jun," Chu Feng said, glancing at his phone.

"I don’t even have to ask. He’s calling for money," Su Miaoke said.

Chu Feng answered the call.

"Brother-in-law, where are you? I went to your place but no one’s home. Are you still in bed?" Su Jun’s voice came through the phone. It sounded like he was already at the Bright Moon Mountain Villa.

"We’re up. We’re not at home, we’re at the factory," Chu Feng said.

"The factory? Brother-in-law, you got a factory job?" Su Jun asked in surprise.

"No, your sister and I are setting up a factory. We had some things to take care of, so we’re staying here. What’s up?" Chu Feng asked.

"It’s nothing, really. I’m planning to buy a house, and my parents gave me thirty million. So, here I am, looking for you," Su Jun said with a laugh.

"Alright, I’ll send you the address. Come on over." Chu Feng hung up after he finished speaking.

"Well, look at that. The sun is barely up and he’s already here for money," Su Miaoke said with a helpless expression, having overheard the call.

"Alright, well, he is your brother. Let’s get washed up. We can all have breakfast together when they get here," Chu Feng said.

After they washed up, he prepared a full breakfast spread on the table.

Just as breakfast was ready, Su Jun pulled up in the big Benz.

Chu Feng had already given a heads-up to Wu Yongzhi at the gate.

"Brother-in-law! Brother-in-law, come on down!" Su Jun shouted from downstairs.

Chu Feng called from the window, "Come on up and have some breakfast first."

Soon, Su Jun came up with Jiang Qingyao and Chu Feng’s mother-in-law.

"Mom, what are you doing here?" Su Miaoke asked, a little surprised to see her mother.

Chu Feng wasn’t surprised, though. They were buying a marital home for Su Jun, after all. How could a mother not be involved?

"Why are you two living here in a factory instead of your big villa? And I don’t see anyone else around, either," Chu Feng’s mother-in-law asked curiously.

"It’s like this, Mom. We’re handling some business, so we need to stay here for a while," Chu Feng explained vaguely.

"Mom, you haven’t eaten yet. Come have some breakfast, it’s all ready," Chu Feng said.

"Oh, wonderful. Xiao Feng, you have to take care of yourself even when you’re busy with work. Your health is your wealth, after all. We left in such a hurry this morning, we really haven’t eaten. Qingyao, hurry and eat while it’s hot. You must be starving." Chu Feng’s mother-in-law was doting on Jiang Qingyao, making Su Miaoke, who was standing to the side, jealous.

"Mom, how come you’ve never been this concerned about whether I’ve had breakfast?" Su Miaoke said, her tone dripping with jealousy.

"You? Who could bother with you? You walk around with a long face all day. I don’t even feel like calling out to you," her mother snapped.

’In any case,’ she thought, ’my daughter’s married off now. I can say whatever I want to her.’

"Alright, alright, let’s just eat breakfast first," Chu Feng interjected, trying to stop them before the mother and daughter started another fight.

"Brother-in-law, my parents gave me thirty million, but I’m still short fifty million. So, about your end of things..." Su Jun said while eating his breakfast.

"Don’t worry. Your sister and I already discussed it. We’ll give it to you," Chu Feng said.

"What? Eighty million? What kind of villa costs eighty million?! Where is it?" Su Miaoke immediately flared up when she heard the price.

"I’m buying a villa in Beihai Bay. The cheapest ones there are sixty or seventy million. Preparing eighty million isn’t excessive, is it?" Su Jun said.

"Hmph. I’m telling you, you get fifty million and not a cent more. If you’re short, you can figure it out yourself," Su Miaoke said with a cold snort.

"Sis, you can’t be like this! This is just the money for the house. What about renovations? I was just giving a rough estimate, not saying I needed exactly fifty million. What if it comes out to fifty-eight million?" Su Jun said, getting anxious.

"I don’t care. You were the one who said fifty million. If you don’t have enough money, then don’t buy it!" Su Miaoke said coldly.

"Forget it, forget it. Having a stingy sister like you... I must have had the worst luck for eight lifetimes!" Su Jun said helplessly as he ate his breakfast.

"Say one more word, and you won’t get a single cent!" Su Miaoke shot back.
