Chapter 158: The Whole Case Is for You
"Oh, right. Brother-in-law, you have to keep your promise to me. And Sis, you said you’d get me a job at the company. You have to make good on that," Su Jun said.
"That’s no problem for your sister or me. Just let us know when you’re free. Tomorrow or the day after both work," Chu Feng said.
"Tomorrow works. Besides, Mom and Dad said they’re going to buy me a house," Su Jun said happily.
"You’re not so young anymore. It’s about time you settled down and started a career," Chu Feng said.
Chu Feng was happy to support Su Jun for thinking along these lines.
After all, the lifestyle of the rich was beyond imagination, and it was even more extravagant for those who weren’t married.
For someone like Su Jun, getting married and having someone to keep him in check was a good thing. It would save everyone a lot of worry.
Forty minutes later, Chu Feng drove into Su Jun’s family neighborhood, an area of luxury villas.
The property was huge; the garden alone must have been several hundred square meters.
The surrounding scenery was beautiful, and the landscaping was exceptionally well done.
When Jiang Qingyao saw how luxurious the place was, she was stunned.
Although she knew Su Jun’s family was wealthy and well-off, she had never imagined it would be *this* opulent. It was beyond anything she could have conceived.
By the front door, Su Linsheng and his wife were already waiting for them.
Chu Feng’s mother-in-law, in particular, had a face full of eager anticipation.
The moment the car came to a stop, Chu Feng’s mother-in-law rushed forward to greet them. Su Jun eagerly hopped out of the car.
"Mom, Dad, I’ve missed you so much!" Su Jun cried, rushing forward to give his mother a huge hug.
Chu Feng’s mother-in-law, overjoyed, replied, "Mom has missed you so much, too."
Next, Su Jun gave Su Linsheng a hug.
"Son, Dad missed you, too," Su Linsheng said, his face alight with happiness.
He absolutely doted on his son. Honestly, not having seen him for over a month, he had missed him terribly.
"So, how did it go? What did you learn from your time at the factory?" Su Linsheng asked with a smile.
"It was great! I earned a salary of sixteen thousand, and I found a girlfriend!" Su Jun declared proudly.
He then pulled Jiang Qingyao forward to introduce her to his parents.
When Su Linsheng saw Jiang Qingyao, he was very pleased, nodding repeatedly in approval.
"Hello, sir," Jiang Qingyao murmured, her face flushing red. Her voice was very quiet.
"Hello, hello. Come, let’s go inside and talk. Don’t be so formal. Please, just make yourself at home," Su Linsheng said with a smile.
"Qingyao, you haven’t eaten yet, have you? Come, Auntie will take you to get some food." Chu Feng’s mother-in-law took Jiang Qingyao’s hand and led her straight into the villa.
In fact, Chu Feng’s mother-in-law had been visiting Jiang Qingyao often recently, so the two had become quite familiar. This helped ease Jiang Qingyao’s nervousness a little.
"Xiao Feng, you have to have a few drinks with me today. It’s been too long since you and Miaoke last visited," Su Linsheng said to Chu Feng with a smile.
He was incredibly pleased with his son-in-law. After all, Chu Feng’s recent accomplishments had left him in complete awe.
"Of course. As it happens, I have a case of 300-year-old Guojiao in the car. I’ll just leave it here for you, Dad," Chu Feng said.
"What? Three-hundred-year-old Guojiao? Where on earth did you get that?" Su Linsheng asked, completely astonished.
Clearly, a 300-year-old Guojiao was incredibly valuable.
A hundred-year-old vintage might still have a price tag, albeit a steep one, but a three-hundred-year-old bottle was exceptionally rare.
It wasn’t something you could necessarily buy, even if you had the money. You needed the right connections for a treasure like this.
"Jiang Tao gave it to him," Su Miaoke added from the side.
"What? Jiang Tao? You mean *the* jewelry magnate, Jiang Tao?" Su Linsheng asked, his shock renewed.
"That’s right. Dad, do you know him?" Chu Feng asked.
"I’ve seen him a few times, but we’ve never spoken," Su Linsheng said with a laugh.
They were both in Beihai and were both major business owners, though Su Linsheng wasn’t considered among the absolute wealthiest in the city.
But he was, at the very least, the owner of a company with a market value in the billions. He was also a contemporary of figures like Zhao Liu, so he still had opportunities to see some of the top tycoons at certain events.
"Well, you could just have Chu Feng introduce you two someday," Su Miaoke said.
"That would be wonderful. But, tell me, son-in-law, what’s your relationship with Jiang Tao like?" Su Linsheng pressed.
"It’s pretty good. He’s been coming to see me quite often recently," Chu Feng said.
"Oh, that Jiang Tao is incredibly respectful to my husband. He’s always calling him ’Brother Chu.’ Anyone who didn’t know better would think they were blood brothers," Su Miaoke teased with a laugh.
"Oh? Is that how it is? Even better! In that case, you must introduce your old man to him sometime," Su Linsheng said to Chu Feng.
"Of course. Anytime you’re free," Chu Feng said.
Once inside the villa, Jiang Qingyao was even more stunned.
It was the first time she had ever seen the inside of such a luxurious mansion with her own eyes.
She had only ever seen places like this on her phone or on TV. She never imagined she would one day set foot inside a real one—and that it would be her boyfriend’s family home.
The sight of a table laden with an extravagant feast, in particular, left Jiang Qingyao feeling completely overwhelmed by the attention.
The entire family was practically tripping over themselves to place food on her plate.
Moreover, every dish was something she had never eaten before—all sorts of seafood, Wagyu beef, and prime steaks. The dazzling spread was almost too much to take in.
"Qingyao, eat up. Don’t be so reserved. Just relax, as if you were in your own home," Su Linsheng said with a smile, placing a shrimp in her bowl.
"Thank you, sir." Jiang Qingyao looked at the heaping bowl of food before her, feeling a little overwhelmed.
When she first started dating Su Jun, she had assumed his family was ordinary, just like hers.
After all, what kind of rich kid would go suffer in a factory unless they were simply bored and had nothing better to do?
But then she’d met Su Jun.
"Dad, let’s have a drink. See what you think of this three-hundred-year-old Guojiao." Chu Feng raised his glass and clinked it against Su Linsheng’s.
"Alright, let me try." Su Linsheng first savored its aroma, a hint of pleasant surprise on his face.
Then he took a small sip, and his eyes instantly lit up.
"Excellent liquor! Truly excellent!" Su Linsheng praised again and again, thoroughly impressed by the 300-year-old Guojiao.
"Really? Dad, let me have some too," Su Jun immediately chimed in, eager for a taste.
"Dad, the whole case is for you, so take your time with it. If you run out, I’ll just get more from Jiang Tao. He has hundreds of thousands of bottles," Chu Feng said with a smile.
He wasn’t particularly fond of liquor himself, only drinking a little on occasion.
"Excellent! In that case, I won’t be modest." Su Linsheng was grinning from ear to ear. He was a huge fan of liquor, especially a rare vintage like this, where every bottle consumed meant one less in the world.
