My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 153: The Luxurious Fishing Village

However, Jiang Tao’s "small fishing village" was no ordinary fishing village. Everyone here was a tycoon, a big boss.

Even the least wealthy among them was worth over a hundred million.

Thanks to the development of Beihai City and the village’s unique geographical location, the area was technically considered a development zone.

But once everyone got rich, this so-called "development zone" had become a wealthy enclave.

Following the address, Chu Feng drove over. The roads along the way were all wide and spacious, with eight lanes for two-way traffic and an incredibly smooth surface.

"Boss Jiang’s hometown sure is different," Chu Feng remarked with a sigh. "These lanes are as good as a highway."

"What did you expect?" Su Miaoke said from the passenger seat. "The little fishing village where Jiang Tao and his people live is one of the most famous wealthy enclaves in all of Beihai. The tycoons there are worth over a hundred million at the very least."

"It’s true," Chu Feng sighed. "Some people are born in Rome, while others spend their whole lives trying to get there."

The scenery along the way was stunning—it was the smell of money.

Soon, the small fishing village where Jiang Tao lived came into view.

Even from a great distance, they could see it was one luxurious villa after another.

"Seriously rich," Chu Feng couldn’t help but remark.

The village was huge. A casual glance revealed rows and blocks of villas.

The moment Chu Feng’s car reached the entrance of the village, someone was already there to welcome them.

Following their guide, Chu Feng arrived at the main gate of Jiang Tao’s villa.

After Chu Feng parked the car, Jiang Tao immediately rushed out to greet him.

"Brother Chu, you’re finally here! Quick, let’s go inside and talk," Jiang Tao said happily, grabbing Chu Feng by the hand and leading him into the villa.

He had invited Chu Feng over for this meal for a matter of great personal importance.

Although he was rich now, incredibly rich, he had no successor, no heir, so he was very anxious.

To put it bluntly, his ’equipment’ didn’t work. It was useless. Even having a wife was no help; they fought every day.

In other words, he couldn’t perform even if a woman was presented to him on a silver platter. This made Jiang Tao anxious beyond belief, but he had no way to solve the problem.

What was the point of being rich with a life like this? He couldn’t enjoy a normal man’s life, and without a son, what was the use of all his money?

"Brother Chu, you must try the seafood from our village. It was all caught this morning—absolutely fresh and delicious," Jiang Tao said as he pulled Chu Feng along.

He seemed so enthusiastic that Chu Feng felt a little overwhelmed by the flattery.

"Boss Jiang, you were so enthusiastic about having me for dinner. Is there something on your mind?" Chu Feng asked with a smile.

Chu Feng didn’t beat around the bush with him and asked directly.

"Let’s eat first, or the food will get cold. We can talk slowly after we finish," Jiang Tao said with a smile. He felt a bit embarrassed. ’How can I talk about something like this in front of everyone? It has to be done in private.’

Upon entering the villa, they found themselves in a spacious living room, with an equally large dining room to one side.

The dining table was already laden with all sorts of seafood delicacies. A quick count revealed at least twenty-some dishes.

Aside from a few chefs in the kitchen, the rest of the staff in the villa consisted of young, beautiful maids.

The villa’s entire decor could be summed up in a single word: Opulent!

Unlike Zhao Liu’s place, the decor here was entirely in a modern Western style.

"Boss Jiang, this villa is truly grand. It’s not the least bit inferior to Sixth Master’s place," Chu Feng said with a smile, glancing around the villa.

"You’re joking, Brother Chu. How could I possibly compare to Sixth Master? I can’t, I can’t," Jiang Tao said, hastily waving his hands.

"What would you like to drink? I have every kind of alcohol here. I wonder which kind you’d prefer, brother?" Jiang Tao said as he led Chu Feng to the room where he kept his special collection.

The room covered at least two hundred square meters and was filled with more than a dozen wine racks, all storing fine liquors of various brands and vintages.

"Brother, whatever you want to drink, just help yourself. As long as it’s a high-class bottle, I have it here," Jiang Tao said with great confidence.

"Everything? Just how much do you have?" Chu Feng asked in surprise.

"Not that much. Only about a hundred thousand bottles. This room just has thirty thousand; the rest are in other rooms. But this room has the most complete selection," Jiang Tao said.

"That many?" Chu Feng raised an eyebrow.

"It’s not many, not many at all. I’m planning to build a few more liquor rooms to store famous vintages from all over the world. Other than jade, my biggest hobby is hoarding liquor," Jiang Tao said.

Although his main business was selling jade, you can only look at jade, not drink it. To Jiang Tao, it wasn’t nearly as appealing as liquor.

That’s why he had developed such a penchant for collecting it.

"Anything is fine. I’m not picky about liquor," Chu Feng said.

"Alright then, we’ll drink this three-hundred-year-old Guojiao. And you, go get the red wine I meticulously prepared. That one is something I picked out specially for President Su," Jiang Tao said with a smile.

A young maid standing nearby immediately walked over to a wine cabinet in her high heels.

The CLICK-CLACK-CLICK of her high heels echoed through the room, revealing smooth, snow-white thighs.

It had to be said that while Jiang Tao might be lacking in "that department," his taste in maids was truly first-class.

They weren’t just for show; they had to be "useful" and know how to work.

"Red wine? What kind?" Su Miaoke asked, a little curious.

"You’ll see in a moment, President Su," Jiang Tao said with a mysterious smile.

"A 1992 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon," Jiang Tao announced with a smile once the young maid brought the wine over.

"What? A single bottle of that wine costs three or four million!" Even Su Miaoke was stunned.

’I can’t believe Jiang Tao was willing to spend so much money on a single bottle of wine.’

While Su Miaoke wasn’t a wine expert, she had been exposed to it enough to know a thing or two.

"Boss Jiang, you’re really pulling out all the stops. Whether it’s the three-hundred-year-old Guojiao or the 1992 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon, every bottle you drink is one less in the world," Chu Feng said.

"And you can’t just buy wine of this caliber, even if you wanted to. Basically no one sells it," Su Miaoke added.

This kind of wine rarely shows up at auctions, except perhaps in trades between major figures. It basically doesn’t circulate on the open market.

The moment any news of a bottle surfaces, it’s snatched up by someone.

"Brother Chu, why be so polite with me? I already got such a great deal from you, so what’s treating you to a little wine? It’s nothing! Even if you wanted to haul away my entire collection, I wouldn’t so much as blink."
