My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 80: Zhongnan Restaurant

Zhao Su was very efficient. She immediately arranged for a modified Alphard and a dedicated driver to take Chu Hao to Beihai.

By the time she had finished arranging all this, the sky had already grown dark.

"President Chu, it’s dinnertime. Let me take you out to eat," Zhao Su said.

"Alright," Chu Feng said with a nod.

He had been busy all day and was starving by now.

Ever since he began his Cultivation, his appetite had become especially large.

Zhao Su drove herself, with Chu Feng sitting in the passenger seat.

"President Chu, when did you and President Su meet? I’d heard that President Su found a husband, but I’d never met him. Seeing you today, I have to say, I’m truly impressed. President Su certainly has high standards," Zhao Su said with a smile.

As the husband of the group’s president, how could Zhao Su not try to flatter him a little?

"We met last year, but we haven’t had the wedding ceremony yet. When we do, you absolutely must come. An outstanding branch manager like President Zhao has to be there," Chu Feng said with a smile.

He was quite satisfied with Zhao Su’s competence. Everything had been arranged perfectly and swiftly.

Receiving Chu Feng’s affirmation, the smile on Zhao Su’s face widened.

"President Chu, I hear you’re from Zhongnan City?" Zhao Su asked.

"That’s right, I’m from Zhongnan City, just from the remote countryside," Chu Feng replied.

"President Chu, in that case, why don’t we go eat some of Zhongnan City’s local specialties?" Zhao Su suggested.

"Zhongnan City’s specialties? Stir-fried pork? Farmhouse cured meat?" Chu Feng’s interest was instantly piqued.

"Yes, I know a great restaurant. Their dishes are especially authentic," Zhao Su said.

"Okay, let’s go then," Chu Feng said with a nod.

Speaking of Zhongnan City’s specialty dishes, Chu Feng was actually starting to feel nostalgic.

In Beihai City, although he usually ate quite well, it wasn’t his hometown, after all, and there was always a slight difference in the food.

So, hearing Zhao Su mention it, Chu Feng immediately perked up.

Before long, the car arrived at a luxurious district in Zhongnan City.

"Zhongnan Restaurant?" Chu Feng was slightly surprised when the car stopped in front of the restaurant and he saw the sign.

"That’s right. The Zhongnan cuisine here is exceptionally authentic," Zhao Su said.

"This Zhongnan Restaurant is quite famous. I’d heard of it since I was a little kid, but I’ve never been. I never expected I’d get to eat here this year," Chu Feng said with a small laugh.

"President Chu is a busy man. You usually don’t have time to think about such things," Zhao Su said teasingly.

Upon entering the restaurant, an attendant with refined features immediately walked over.

"Good evening. Do you two have a reservation?" the attendant asked.

"Yes, the Zhongnan Number One private room," Zhao Su said.

"Very good. This way, please." The attendant led the two of them deeper into the restaurant.

When Chu Feng heard that Zhao Su had already booked a private room, he raised an eyebrow slightly. ’Her arrangements are truly meticulous.’

"You booked the room so quickly. Weren’t you afraid I wouldn’t want to come here?" Chu Feng asked with a smile.

"Based on my impression of you, President Chu, I knew you weren’t that kind of person," Zhao Su replied honestly.

As soon as they stepped inside the restaurant’s interior, Chu Feng was amazed. The decor was an opulent blend of traditional and luxurious.

It looked like an ancient palace—resplendent and magnificent, with carved gold and inlaid jade everywhere.

Just as they reached the entrance to the Zhongnan Number One private room and the attendant was opening the door for Chu Feng and Zhao Su to enter, a cold shout suddenly came from behind them.

"Stop! Who said you could go in?" A young man with his arms around two young women walked over.

Both women were wearing slit qipaos that fully accentuated their figures, a rather provocative sight.

Chu Feng, Zhao Su, and the attendant all turned to look.

"We booked this room. Are you saying we can’t go in?" Zhao Su asked, somewhat displeased.

She was treating President Chu to dinner today. For something like this to happen was frankly infuriating.

"Who says it’s yours just because you booked it? My family owns the entire Zhongnan Restaurant. Now hurry up and get the hell out of my sight. I’m using this room," the young man said arrogantly.

Hearing this, Chu Feng didn’t even give him the time of day and walked straight in.

Zhao Su followed closely behind Chu Feng, also ignoring the man.

At that moment, however, the attendant said to Chu Feng, "I’m sorry, sir, but this room is already taken. Let me find you another one."

"Hm?" Chu Feng turned his head to look at the female attendant.

Zhao Su was furious when she heard this.

"So what if he’s your young master? I called and made this reservation hours in advance. And now you’re telling us to switch just like that? Get your boss over here," Zhao Su said, her face dark with displeasure.

This was just bullying.

"Did you two hear me? This room is mine! You’d better get the hell out, or don’t blame me for what happens next!" The young man, still with his arms around the two women, strode toward Chu Feng, his nose in the air as he spoke with utter arrogance.

With an insolent swagger, he walked right past Chu Feng and Zhao Su.

As he passed Chu Feng, he shot him a disgusted look and sneered, "Country bumpkins! Can you even afford a place like this?"

Upon hearing this, Chu Feng grabbed the young man and pulled him back.

SLAP!

He sent him sprawling to the ground with a single slap.

The two women with him were so frightened they immediately ran off.

’With people like this, reasoning is useless. You have to let your fists do the talking.’

Seeing this, the female attendant’s face instantly turned pale with fright.

"He... he’s the youngest son of the Aolong Group’s chairman! You’re finished," the female attendant stammered, her lips trembling.

Hearing this, Chu Feng glanced at Zhao Su. Even she wore a look of shock.

She never thought they would run into someone from the Chen Family just by going out for a meal.

"I... I didn’t know... I’d heard the Chen Family had a youngest son, but I’ve never seen him..." Zhao Su said, her expression ugly.

She had only wanted to treat Chu Feng to a nice meal and build a better relationship, but she never expected something like this to happen.

Chu Feng knew this wasn’t Zhao Su’s fault. "It’s fine," he said. "I’ll handle any problems."

BANG!

After saying that, Chu Feng kicked the Chen Family’s youngest son, sending him flying several meters away and knocking him unconscious.

"Serve the food. Let’s eat," Chu Feng said to Zhao Su.

Zhao Su’s face was a little pale, but since Chu Feng had spoken, she could only comply.

"Go and bring up all the dishes I ordered," Zhao Su said to the female attendant.

The female attendant nodded and immediately ran off, reporting the incident to her supervisor on her walkie-talkie as she went.

"Close the door," Chu Feng said to Zhao Su.

Zhao Su obediently closed the door and looked at Chu Feng, at a complete loss.

"President Chu, I didn’t know this place also belonged to the Chen Family. I didn’t investigate thoroughly enough. It’s my fault," Zhao Su said, on the verge of tears.
