Chapter 74: A Knock on the Door
Other than Chu Feng and his companions, the only people who ever visited this park were the monthly maintenance crew. The rest of the time, no outsiders ever set foot here.
The Bright Moon Mountain Villas were all single-family homes, each with its own small park. The environment was wonderful and very peaceful.
THUD!
Chu Feng thrust his palm forward. Three meters away, a tree as thick as a rice bowl shook violently, letting out a muffled sound.
With the aid of the Spiritual Power in his body, Chu Feng had no trouble practicing. It was simply a matter of proficiency and the speed of his strikes.
"Honey, you’re amazing," Su Miaoke said, her eyes full of admiration.
"This is just the first move," Chu Feng said with a faint smile.
In truth, he was already thrilled. Just mastering this first move had increased his power significantly.
If he could master the second and third moves, he would become even stronger. Each move was more ferocious than the last.
Su Miaoke then sat to the side and began to cultivate seriously. She was envious of Chu Feng’s incredible power and longed to one day be just as strong.
About an hour and a half later, they both stopped their Cultivation.
Back at the villa, Chu Feng’s mother had already made breakfast. After a quick meal, the two headed off to work.
As they were leaving, Chu Feng instructed his parents not to venture out for the time being, telling them to stick to the villa grounds.
After all, even though Tang Mu was dead, the Tang Family still had people in Beihai. If those guys hadn’t given up and decided to make another move, it would be troublesome.
Just as Chu Feng pulled up to the company and stopped, another car pulled up and parked a short distance in front of him.
"Chu Feng!" Tang Chuxia stepped out of a red sports car. Dressed in a sundress, she had a striking presence.
Chu Feng lowered his car window and frowned at the sight of Tang Chuxia.
"Tang Chuxia?" Chu Feng was surprised. ’I can’t believe she came looking for me.’ But after the initial shock, his expression immediately turned cold.
"That’s right, it’s me," Tang Chuxia said. "I came to talk to you about something."
"We have nothing to talk about. Please leave," Chu Feng said coolly as he got out of his car.
To say Chu Feng disliked the Tang Family would be an understatement. They had caused him trouble time and time again.
They even kept going after the people close to him, which was what infuriated him the most.
Su Miaoke trailed behind Chu Feng, her expression uneasy.
She had met Tang Chuxia before and knew she was not only powerful but also used poison.
Su Miaoke was practically traumatized by poison, having been a victim twice before.
"Chu Feng, Tang Mu’s death... it was you, wasn’t it!" Tang Chuxia didn’t beat around the bush, getting straight to the point.
"What? Are you interrogating me?" Chu Feng sneered.
"And what if I am?" Tang Chuxia shot back.
"And what if it was me?" Chu Feng retorted.
"You’re disrespecting my Tang Family and the Qing Gang! Let me tell you something, Chu Feng—I don’t care if you have the Xixiang Chu Family backing you. The consequences for offending my family will be dire!" Tang Chuxia threatened.
"Heh, is that right?" Chu Feng said coldly. "Then bring it on. Your Tang Family, the Qing Gang... bring them all. You think I’m afraid?"
"Chu Feng, are you sure you want to play it this way? Don’t you dare regret this!" Tang Chuxia seethed, her teeth clenched.
She had only intended to negotiate with Chu Feng, but she never imagined he would show her zero respect and refuse to even give her the chance.
But you couldn’t blame Chu Feng. After all, he had never been the one to provoke the Tang Family.
It was always the Tang Family initiating things, bullying him and the people he cared about. What’s more, they always resorted to dirty tricks, which enraged him.
The crucial part was that there were hardly any good people in the Tang Family; they were all monstrously sinful.
Every one of them was corrupt to the core, with overflowing Sin Values.
"Regret?" Chu Feng jeered. "I am Chu Feng. I never regret my actions. If you have a problem with that, come at me! Just don’t be like the Tang Mu brothers, who only knew how to play dirty."
"Chu Feng! You...!" Tang Chuxia was absolutely livid.
"If there’s nothing else, get lost. You’re keeping me from work," Chu Feng said dismissively.
With that, he and Su Miaoke started walking toward the office building, completely ignoring Tang Chuxia.
"Chu Feng, stop right there! I challenge you!" Tang Chuxia shouted, fuming.
Chu Feng had successfully provoked her, and now she was determined to prove who was superior.
"Hah, a competition?" Chu Feng said scornfully. "I have no interest in fighting people who love to play dirty. All you know is poison and other low-life tricks!"
"I’m not like Tang Mu and his brother!" Tang Chuxia retorted furiously. "I’ll fight you fair and square!"
"Oh? You’re going to poison me ’fair and square’?" Chu Feng shot back with sarcasm.
"Who said anything about poison? I know Martial Arts, too! The Tang Family is a Martial Arts Clan, after all!" Tang Chuxia shouted, completely exasperated by Chu Feng.
Chu Feng turned to Su Miaoke. "Is there anywhere suitable nearby?"
Su Miaoke thought for a moment. "There’s a small park across from the office," she said. "It’s the middle of the workday, so it should be practically empty."
"Alright, let’s go there," Chu Feng said, nodding.
Chu Feng then turned back to Tang Chuxia. "Let’s go. Since you’re so eager for a match, I might as well use you for a little practice."
"Hmph! We’ll see if you’re begging me for mercy later!" Tang Chuxia snarled, grinding her teeth.
At that moment, Tang Chuxia was trembling with such rage that she looked like she wanted to strike Chu Feng dead right where he stood.
"Beg for mercy?" Chu Feng retorted mockingly. "Just try not to secretly poison me during the fight!"
Chu Feng felt no pity for Tang Chuxia just because she was a woman. If she dared to poison him or try to take his life, he certainly wouldn’t hold back.
A short while later, the three arrived at a park.
The park was quite large, but it was mostly empty at this hour. The trio found a deserted clearing.
Tang Chuxia drew a soft whip and cracked it fiercely.
CRACK!
A crisp sound instantly echoed through the air.
"Draw your weapon! Let’s have a fair duel," Tang Chuxia declared.
"I don’t use a weapon," Chu Feng said. "Go ahead and make your move."
He truly didn’t see Tang Chuxia as a threat. After all, he was a Cultivator at the Peak of Qi Cultivation.
Plus, now that he knew the Taiqing Palm Skill, his combat prowess had increased severalfold.
Tang Chuxia wasn’t one to waste time. Since Chu Feng had given her the go-ahead, she attacked without hesitation.
The soft whip lashed out, howling through the air as if tearing it asunder as it flew straight for Chu Feng.
Watching from a short distance away, Su Miaoke’s face was filled with anxiety and tension.
She was worried for Chu Feng’s safety; after all, he was unarmed.
