Chapter 57: Getting Beaten Up
Suddenly, Xiao Xiaoya’s boyfriend’s laughter came to an abrupt halt.
A few young men had walked out.
"Brother Zhao, what are you doing here?" Xiao Xiaoya’s boyfriend hadn’t expected Zhao Quan and his group to show up.
As soon as he saw Zhao Quan and the others, Xiao Xiaoya’s boyfriend immediately started snitching.
"Oh, right, Brother Zhao," he tattled, "this kid is incredibly arrogant. He has zero respect for you. He even asked who the hell you think you are and said that if you dared to show your face, he’d beat the shit out of you."
However, what this guy said was complete bullshit. He was the one who had said all those things; Chu Feng hadn’t said any of it.
THUD!
Zhao Quan kicked the guy straight to the ground.
"Beat him!" Zhao Quan shouted, and the other Zhao Family disciples all started kicking him.
In just a few minutes, Xiao Xiaoya and her boyfriend had received a brutal beating.
His glasses were smashed to pieces, and his whole body had been kicked countless times.
Even Xiao Xiaoya didn’t get off easy. She was kicked several times in the chest and back until she was practically caved in.
Chu Feng pulled his parents and his wife back.
Seeing this, Chu Feng’s mother looked anxious, but Chu Yuntian was much calmer.
"Mom, it’s fine. Don’t worry," Chu Feng said.
Su Miaoke wasn’t surprised by any of this. She knew that the Zhao Family’s disciples had been very respectful to Chu Feng ever since that incident at sea.
After a few minutes, Zhao Quan and his group stopped.
"B-Brother Zhao... why are you hitting me? It was that kid talking about you! You’re beating up the wrong person!" Xiao Xiaoya’s boyfriend stammered, blood filling his mouth and making his words slur.
Zhao Quan and his friends had kicked out nearly all of his teeth.
Xiao Xiaoya also looked aggrieved, tears streaming down her face nonstop.
"What are you doing? Why would you just start hitting people?" Xiao Xiaoya said, looking utterly wronged.
’To be beaten up so badly for no reason... it was completely unfair.’
"The wrong person? We meant to hit you! Still got a smart mouth, huh? Keep beating them!" Hearing them still dare to talk back, Zhao Quan got so angry he and his group gave them another round of beatings.
Even when waiters and security guards came over, they couldn’t pull them off.
Soon, Sister Li from the Beihai Restaurant also rushed over.
"What’s going on? What happened?" Sister Li asked as soon as she arrived.
When she saw that the one getting beaten was the young master of the Wang Family, her expression turned grim.
"Young Master Wang?" she exclaimed in surprise.
Just as she was about to question the attackers, she saw that they were the young men from the Zhao Family, and her expression changed instantly.
"Oh, it’s Young Master Zhao. What’s all this? Why the fighting?" Sister Li asked.
"Stay out of this! All of you, get the hell away from me, or I’ll tear down your whole restaurant!" Zhao Quan cursed, furious.
Hearing this, Sister Li knew better than to interfere and had her staff back away.
The doors to several private rooms opened, with patrons ready to yell, but Sister Li stopped them all.
In Beihai, who would dare to provoke someone from the Zhao Family? You’d have to have a death wish.
After all, she had seen with her own eyes just a few days ago that even Sixth Master Zhao was incredibly deferential to them, waiting on them hand and foot.
Therefore, Sister Li understood very well that these young men were not to be provoked.
Provoking them would be extremely dangerous.
To this moment, Xiao Xiaoya’s boyfriend still had no idea how he had offended Zhao Quan and his group.
"Brother Zhao, even if you beat me to death, at least let me die knowing why! Just tell me, how did I piss you off?" the guy said, his face a mask of despair.
’To be beaten twice in a row for no apparent reason... They had nearly beaten me to death.’
"This is my big brother! Even I have to call him Brother Chu! And a little punk like you dares to slander him? So what if Brother Chu scolds me? Even if he hit me, what the hell does that have to do with you? Who the hell do you think you are? You dare to act all high and mighty in front of my Brother Chu?" Zhao Quan said, yanking Xiao Xiaoya’s boyfriend up by the hair, his face contorted with rage.
"PTUI!" Zhao Quan spat a thick wad of phlegm right in the guy’s face.
Hearing this, Xiao Xiaoya and her boyfriend were completely dumbfounded. ’Does Chu Feng really have that much clout?’
’Even Zhao Quan of the Zhao Family has to call him Brother Chu?’
’No way!’
Chu Feng’s parents were also stunned.
Chu Yuntian asked, "What’s your relationship with them?"
"Dad, it’s nothing much. There was one time we went out to sea, and I saved their lives. So they’re just being polite to me," Chu Feng said.
Hearing this, Chu Yuntian immediately understood. He nodded and said, "A life-saving favor is a great debt, but don’t go troubling them all the time."
Chu Feng smiled and said, "Dad, don’t worry."
"Alright, Zhao Quan, throw them out. I don’t want to see them. My parents came to Beihai today, and I want to have a nice meal with them," Chu Feng said.
Hearing this, Zhao Quan immediately waved his hand.
"You two should count yourselves lucky! If my Brother Chu hadn’t spoken up, I’d have finished you two punks off today for sure!" Zhao Quan said angrily.
Cursing and kicking, the other Zhao Family disciples booted the pair all the way down the stairs.
"Oh, so this is your father and mother! Brother Chu, this is on you. Why didn’t you tell us your parents were visiting? Don’t you consider us your brothers?" Zhao Quan said.
Then he trotted over and said to Chu Feng’s parents, "Sir, Ma’am, I’m Chu Feng’s brother. My name is Zhao Quan."
"Ah, hello." Chu Yuntian nodded with a smile and extended his hand to shake Zhao Quan’s.
"Sir, Ma’am, you haven’t eaten yet, have you? Come, come to our private room. Everything today is on me." Zhao Quan supported Chu Feng’s parents by the arm as he led them toward the private room.
He was so incredibly enthusiastic that it was impossible to refuse.
Even Chu Feng’s father, Chu Yuntian, was a bit overwhelmed.
"Sir, Ma’am, please, order something," Zhao Quan said, handing them the menu.
When they saw the prices on the menu, Chu Yuntian and Chu Feng’s mother were momentarily at a loss for what to order.
Zhao Quan was a perceptive person. Seeing this, he immediately called Sister Li over.
"Bring us one of every single one of your restaurant’s specialties. Oh, and bring a few bottles of your century-old liquor. Put it all on Zhao Liu’s tab," Zhao Quan said with great extravagance.
This was their first time in a big city. They had always been in the mountains, cultivating arduously.
So they had absolutely no concept of prices like these.
In any case, all they had to do was eat and drink; someone else would be paying.
With Zhao Liu’s fortune, paying their bill was a trivial matter.
"Right away, Young Master Zhao. Please wait a moment," Sister Li said with a smile.
But inwardly, she was completely stunned. She had witnessed the power of the Zhao Family before, but she never expected that Su Miaoke’s family’s relationship with them was so deep.
