My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 49: Message from the Wealth God’s Order

If anyone gave up, it would be a real disaster. People would die.

Including Chu Feng, all five of them were using every ounce of strength they had, not daring to stop for a single moment.

The five of them took turns getting in the water to push the lifeboat. This continued until the afternoon, and soon it was nearly dusk.

They had been adrift at sea for a day and a night without a single drop of water, and they were all on the verge of dehydration.

"Brother Chu, how much longer until we get there? I can’t take it anymore." Zhao Quan collapsed, too exhausted to move.

At the same time, he grew even more curious about Chu Feng.

"Brother Chu, aren’t you tired? You’ve been swimming nonstop for so long. How do you still have any energy?" Zhao Quan asked, completely baffled.

He wasn’t the only one; the other four were just as curious.

Among the five of them, Chu Feng had been working the hardest, yet he was also the one with the most energy.

Zhao Qinghan also watched Chu Feng with great curiosity. She had been intrigued by him for a while now.

They all came from Martial Arts Clans. As Martial Artists, also known as Martial Cultivators, their strength, stamina, and all other physical capabilities far exceeded those of ordinary people.

But Chu Feng was even more incredible than any of them, which made them suspect he was a Martial Artist as well.

However, they could never have guessed that Chu Feng had received an Immortal Dao Inheritance and possessed a method for Qi Cultivation.

In this Dharma Decline Era, a time when Spiritual Qi was depleted, he was still able to embark on the path of Cultivation and continue to advance further and further.

In this day and age, for a typical Martial Cultivator, reaching the Qi Cultivation Realm on their Cultivation path was basically considered the pinnacle.

Very few could surpass the Qi Cultivation realm, and even those who did were of an advanced age.

Because the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi was so thin, there wasn’t another person in the world like Chu Feng who could use Merit to substitute for Spiritual Qi in his Cultivation.

This Cultivation method from the God of Wealth gave Chu Feng a crucial advantage. Since the connection between humans and gods had been completely severed in this era, he could use the Merit he earned for himself.

At his current rate of Cultivation and Merit acquisition, he would soon surpass Qi Cultivation and reach Foundation Establishment.

"That’s just because I’m a good swimmer, so I can conserve more energy than you guys." Chu Feng casually made up an excuse.

There was no way Chu Feng would reveal these secrets about himself; it would only bring him disaster.

After a tremendous, grueling effort from everyone, the island was finally within sight.

Seeing it, everyone got a second wind. They immediately sped up, and soon, the lifeboat surged onto the shore.

As soon as they hit the beach, Zhao Quan dropped to his knees and wept, his face turned toward the sky.

"Oh, heavens! Oh, earth! We finally made it to shore! I’m never going back in the goddamn sea for the rest of my life!" Zhao Quan yelled.

The others all felt the same. Looking back on their experience from yesterday to today, it had been a complete nightmare.

"It’s getting dark. We need to scout the island’s environment and find a source of water and food," Chu Feng said to the others, not daring to rest for even a moment.

Hearing Chu Feng’s words, Zhao Quan immediately stood up and said, "Brother Chu, leave a small task like this to us brothers. You get some rest. Just sit back and wait for us to bring you something to eat."

"Oh? You know how to find them?" Chu Feng asked curiously.

"Of course! We brothers have lived in the mountains our whole lives. When it comes to wilderness survival, our experience is top-notch!" Zhao Quan said confidently, patting his chest.

The Zhao Family was located deep in the mountains of the Northern Territory. How could children of the mountains not have any wilderness survival skills?

A few moments later, Zhao Quan spotted several coconut trees not far from the shore.

In a flash, he shimmied up one of them and picked more than a dozen fresh coconuts.

The group cracked open the coconuts and drank their fill, completely satisfied.

"Whew, I never knew coconut water could taste this good." Zhao Quan wore an expression of pure bliss.

Zhao Qinghan felt the same way, and the light began to return to her eyes.

Replenished with water, everyone’s stamina started to recover.

Afterward, the group built a relatively large, simple wooden shelter. It was clear they would be spending the night here.

Zhao Quan then somehow managed to catch a few wild birds and some large crabs from the sea.

That night, they ate quite well. At the very least, they were all full.

"Chu Feng, is there any way for us to leave now?" Zhao Qinghan asked him.

"For now, all we can do is wait and see if any boats pass by. As long as we’re not adrift at sea, there’s hope," Chu Feng said.

Although he was anxious too, this wasn’t a problem that could be solved by worrying.

They had managed to land on an unnamed island with no shortage of food or water. Leaving was just a matter of time.

The next day, Chu Feng woke at the crack of dawn. Deep down, he was deeply worried about Su Miaoke’s safety.

He had a feeling that this whole incident wasn’t so simple. ’How could we run into so much trouble on our very first trip out to sea?’

’Build a raft and set sail?’ Chu Feng didn’t dare entertain the thought. If it capsized midway, all they could do was wait for death.

Meanwhile, in Beihai City, Su Miaoke had barely slept all night, only dozing off briefly before dawn.

When she woke up, she tried calling Chu Feng’s phone again, but it was still unreachable. The message said the number she was calling was out of service.

"How is it out of service again?" Su Miaoke’s delicate brows furrowed. She knew this was definitely not a simple matter.

Although she hadn’t known Chu Feng for very long, she understood him as a person. He wouldn’t just disappear for this long without a reason. Something must have happened.

Su Miaoke got up and went downstairs. She stood before the statue of the God of Wealth, took out three incense sticks, lit them, and raised them to her forehead before bowing respectfully three times.

Chu Feng had worshipped this statue of the God of Wealth for over a decade. After marrying Su Miaoke, he had moved it to their Bright Moon Mountain Villa.

Chu Feng had once taught her a method of contact to be used in case they were ever unable to reach each other.

She was to burn incense, pray, and silently recite a specific Spell.

Su Miaoke recalled what Chu Feng had taught her and began to put it into practice.

Far away on the island, just as Chu Feng was trying to figure out a way to leave, his Wealth God’s Order suddenly stirred.

"My dearest wife, you finally remembered! I was starting to think you’d forgotten all about this!" Chu Feng said, his face lighting up with excitement.

He then used the Wealth God’s Order to reply to Su Miaoke.

"We ran into a storm at sea. We’re currently on an unknown island."

Just as Su Miaoke was about to sincerely repeat the Spell, she suddenly perceived a flash of light in her mind’s eye.

The words of Chu Feng’s reply appeared in her mind.

"This... this is real!" Su Miaoke was stunned. She had only been trying it out, never expecting it to actually work.
