Chapter 36: Lord 6
"Dad, is this really going to work?" Su Miaoke asked, still a bit worried.
"Let’s give it a shot. As long as Sixth Master is willing to step in, this can definitely be resolved," Su Linsheng said.
Then, Chu Feng left the company with Su Linsheng and Su Miaoke, driving them in his car.
A short while later, the car left downtown Beihai City and headed for the Jiulong Lake Central Villa.
That area was home to what were, without a doubt, the most exclusive luxury homes in Beihai City, boasting superb feng shui. Compared to the Jiulong Lake Central Villa, even a place like Beihai Bay No. 1 was nothing but garbage.
After all, Beihai Bay No. 1 consisted of apartment buildings and sprawling condos, whereas the Jiulong Lake Central Villa was an estate of detached, top-tier luxury mansions, with a level of opulence ordinary people could scarcely imagine.
Most importantly, money alone wasn’t enough to buy a home in the Jiulong Lake Central Villa.
About half an hour after leaving downtown, they arrived at the Jiulong Lake Central Villa.
The entire Jiulong Lake Central Villa estate was built on an island in the middle of Jiulong Lake. To reach it, one had to cross a bridge that spanned the water.
At the head of the bridge stood a guard booth, and an officer stopped Chu Feng’s car.
"Unauthorized vehicles are not permitted," the guard said, sliding open his window.
"Hello, young man. We’re old friends of Sixth Master. We’re here to see him about a small matter. Could you please let him know we’ve arrived?" Su Linsheng lowered his car window and gave the guard a friendly smile.
The guard’s expression remained unchanged. He asked coldly, "Name."
"Su Linsheng of the Su Group!" Su Linsheng said.
"Wait here." With that, the guard slid the window shut and began making a call.
"He’s just a security guard. Does he have to be so arrogant?" Su Miaoke said, her face clouded with displeasure at his attitude.
"We’re the ones asking for a favor. We just have to bear with it," Su Linsheng sighed.
About ten minutes later, the guard opened the window and said to Su Linsheng, "Alright, you can go in. But don’t go driving all over the place!"
Chu Feng drove slowly onto the Jiulong Lake Central Villa estate.
The entire island was massive, with numerous buildings situated on it. The entrance gate alone was a full seven or eight meters wide.
Beyond the gate lay an enormous garden, filled with all manner of rare and exotic plants. The landscaping was a masterwork of top-tier horticultural art.
Every tree and every flowerbed had been placed with meticulous care and purpose.
After driving for several minutes, an immense villa finally came into view.
The villa resembled a palace from ancient times. A single glance at the exterior was enough to know it was anything but ordinary, its decorations surely the height of luxury.
An elderly man with graying temples, dressed in a Tang suit, emerged from the entrance, a kind smile on his face.
This was the Sixth Master whom Su Linsheng had come to find.
"Younger Brother Su! Why didn’t you give me a heads-up you were coming?" As soon as Su Linsheng stepped out of the car, Sixth Master strode forward to greet him, the very picture of old friends reuniting.
"Forgive me for this sudden intrusion, Sixth Master. I hope I haven’t disturbed you. I trust you’ll be magnanimous," Su Linsheng said, cupping his fist in a polite gesture.
"Come now, let’s not stand on ceremony. Come, let’s talk inside," Sixth Master said with a hearty laugh.
The group followed him into the villa, and upon stepping inside, Chu Feng was utterly stunned.
The main hall spanned several hundred square meters. Its decor could be described in a single word: opulent!
The style of decoration was reminiscent of an ancient imperial hall. The tables and chairs were gilded, creating a scene of dazzling magnificence.
At the head of the hall sat a chair resembling a dragon throne, yet it was even more extravagant than those seen in films and television dramas.
’Chu Feng even wondered if the chair was made of solid gold.’
"Please, sit," Sixth Master said graciously. "Serve the tea."
A few graceful young women in cheongsams approached.
Each stood around five feet nine, with perfectly proportioned figures and exquisite features. Out in the world, any one of them would be considered a top-tier beauty—the kind that makes you swallow hard just by looking.
Had they entered show business, they would undoubtedly be A-list superstars worth hundreds of millions.
’But here, at Sixth Master’s residence, they were merely waitstaff serving tea?’
The teacups themselves were crafted from pure gold, the workmanship exquisite. Chu Feng was so dazzled he started to wonder if they were imperial artifacts once used by an emperor.
’He’s so fucking rich!’
Even Su Miaoke, who had once been the head of the Su Group, couldn’t help but marvel at the sight. It was a real eye-opener.
Su Linsheng lifted his cup and took a slow sip. His eyes instantly brightened as he said to Sixth Master, "Sixth Master, don’t tell me this is the legendary, long-lost Thousand-Year Da Hong Pao?"
"That’s right. With this tea, every drop consumed is a drop lost forever. People once offered tens of millions for it and still came away empty-handed. It truly is a treasure with a price but no market. If it weren’t for you, Younger Brother Su, I’d be reluctant to brew it at all," Sixth Master said with a light smile.
"Sixth Master, your generosity leaves me speechless," Su Linsheng said, hastily cupping his fist.
"Come now, none of that between us. We’ve been old friends for over twenty years. So, I wonder, what brings Younger Brother Su here today?" Sixth Master said with a wave of his hand.
"Well, Sixth Master, it’s like this. For some reason, my Su Group has been targeted by Hu Long. I was hoping you could help mediate the situation. The Su Group has always conducted its business peacefully and never meddled in other affairs. Hu Long targeting us now has me quite unsettled," Su Linsheng explained.
"Oh? Is that so? In that case, how about I call him over and mediate this for you in person? He happens to be here right now," Sixth Master offered.
"Thank you, Sixth Master," Su Linsheng said, his face alight with joy as he cupped his fist.
’’Mediation,’ he called it, but there would certainly be conditions. No one mediates for free, not without a price.’
Before long, a bald, pot-bellied middle-aged man walked over. His face was a mass of fierce, fleshy jowls.
The man’s expression was ugly, bordering on savage.
This was because not long ago, the Evil Master from South Asia, the Gu God, had suddenly returned to his villa to find him.
He had told him the Su Family had a powerful expert among them, and that he, the Evil Master, had to leave immediately.
But just as the man finished packing and stepped out of the villa, a bolt of lightning from a clear blue sky struck him dead.
Hu Long had witnessed this with his own eyes, which explained his foul expression.
The moment Hu Long appeared and drew near, Chu Feng’s brow furrowed instantly.
’This man’s sins were staggering—far more severe than even the Evil Master from South Asia.’
’Sin Value: -26,000!’
’This guy’s sins truly reached the heavens. To have such a high sin value...’
’Right now, however, what Su Qiye wanted to know most was whether this was the man who had harmed his father more than twenty years ago.’
"Hu Long. I hear you and Younger Brother Su have some grievances? He has asked me to mediate between you," Sixth Master said, getting straight to the point.
