My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 34: South Asian Evil Master

"If that person dares to show up, I have a way to catch him," Chu Feng said.

"Are you sure? Will it be dangerous?" Su Miaoke asked, concerned.

"Don’t worry, I’ll be fine," said Chu Feng.

"Alright, I’ll have someone keep an eye out," Su Miaoke said with a serious nod.

Someone wanted to have her dad killed. There was no way Su Miaoke would let that person go; she had to root them out.

Afterward, Chu Feng left the office and returned to his dorm to rest.

Even though he felt mentally sharp, Chu Feng still decided to get some rest to keep his body in peak condition.

About four hours later, Chu Feng was jolted awake by a call from Su Miaoke.

"Honey, there’s a suspicious person at the company entrance. You need to get over here and take a look," Su Miaoke’s urgent voice came through the phone.

Chu Feng was instantly alert. "Did they get inside the company?" he asked.

"No, the guy was loitering by the entrance for a long time. He tried to come in, but I had security stop him," said Su Miaoke.

"Alright. Have your people keep an eye on him. Don’t let him get away." Chu Feng threw on his clothes and rushed to the office building.

On the computer in Su Miaoke’s office, they could clearly see a person squatting by the wall, not far from the security booth.

The person wasn’t tall and wore strange clothes. Their skin had a grayish-blue tint, giving them an eerie appearance.

"Honey, that’s him!" Su Miaoke said, pointing at the person on the monitor.

"Alright, I’m going out to take a look." With that, Chu Feng headed straight out of the office building and toward the main gate.

"Hey! What do you think you’re doing!" Chu Feng barked.

The man was holding some strange objects and muttering to himself. Incense and candles were stuck in the ground at his feet, and yellow paper was burning.

Chu Feng got a huge shock when he approached the short man.

A towering aura of blood-red light surged above the man’s head—the kind that would terrify anyone with a single glance.

’Such immense sin!’ Chu Feng was horrified.

His negative Merit Points—his Sin Value—was a staggering -10,000!

It was the first time Chu Feng had ever seen a Sin Value so high. This man must have committed heinous crimes; there was no telling how many people he’d killed.

"None of your damn business. Get lost!" The short man glanced at Chu Feng, saw his security guard uniform, and dismissed him completely.

"What’s wrong? Still trying to repair the evil formation that someone destroyed last night?" Chu Feng sneered.

Hearing this, the short man’s eyes narrowed, and he stared intently at Chu Feng.

The man’s expression turned grim, his face twisting into a demonic scowl. "Was that your doing?" he snarled.

"That’s right. An evil person like you, who has done nothing but wicked deeds, is bound to face divine retribution. Yet you still dare to commit evil so brazenly. You truly are unrepentant!" Chu Feng said coldly.

At the same time, he used the Wealth God’s Order to activate the man’s aura of sin. It wouldn’t be long before the man died from karmic retribution.

"Hah! Kid, I’ve been running things in South Asia for years. Do you think I was born yesterday? You think a few words from you are going to fool me?"

This short man was a notorious Evil Master from South Asia. He was well-known, but his fame came from using Evil Techniques to harm others. That’s why he had been hired to murder Su Miaoke’s family.

After a cold laugh, the short man suddenly threw a handful of black powder in Chu Feng’s face.

The man burst out laughing when he saw the powder land on Chu Feng.

"HAHAHA! That’s what you get for sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong, kid! How dare you provoke me, the Gu God of South Asia!" the short man cackled.

But Chu Feng just stared at him, dumbfounded. He was speechless. ’This guy must have a screw loose,’ he thought.

"What’s so funny?" Chu Feng asked.

"You’ve been hit by my Magic! You don’t have long to live," the short man cackled.

"Is that so?" Chu Feng said with a smirk.

The next moment, he activated the Wealth God’s Order.

FZZZT—

A sound like a lit fuse sizzled through the air.

The black powder on Chu Feng’s body ignited and vanished instantly.

Having inherited the power of the God of Wealth and possessing the Wealth God’s Order, such a paltry Evil Technique had no effect on him whatsoever.

When the short man saw this, his face drained of color, his eyes wide with terror.

He never imagined Chu Feng could neutralize his Evil Technique so easily. It was as if he were completely invulnerable. The man knew he had run into a true master.

After all, this country had numerous mystic Sects, so it stood to reason there would be no shortage of masters.

In fact, the man had investigated before making his move. He’d found no masters in the vicinity, which was why he had acted so boldly.

But he had clearly miscalculated. So, seeing Chu Feng effortlessly neutralize his Evil Technique, he turned and fled without a moment’s hesitation.

"Do you really think you can get away?" Chu Feng said coldly, but he didn’t give chase.

The man wouldn’t live much longer anyway, so there was no need for Chu Feng to intervene.

Still, he was very curious about who was behind this South Asian Evil Master. The man was clearly working for someone.

’Who could it be?’ Chu Feng wondered.

He activated the Wealth God’s Order with a thought, locking its power onto the South Asian Evil Master’s aura.

A message immediately appeared on the Token.

"Hu Long!"

’Who the heck is Hu Long?’ Chu Feng racked his brain but couldn’t place the name. He didn’t know anyone by that name.

’I’ll ask Miaoke and her father when I get back. Maybe they’ll know something.’

After dealing with the matter, Chu Feng returned to the office building.

"What happened? Who was that guy?" Su Miaoke asked the moment he walked in, her voice full of urgency.

"He’s an Evil Master from South Asia. Calls himself the Gu God. It seems he’s connected to someone named Hu Long. Do you know him?" Chu Feng asked.

"Hu Long? I’ve never heard of him. Is he connected to all this?" Su Miaoke replied with a frown after a moment of thought.

"He’s very likely the one pulling the strings. Ask your dad if he knows him," said Chu Feng.

"Okay, I’ll call my dad now. He’s probably still at the hospital for his check-up," Su Miaoke said, immediately dialing Su Linsheng’s number.

"Dad, how are you doing? Are you feeling any better?" Su Miaoke asked.

"I’m fine, just some scrapes. What’s wrong?" Su Linsheng replied.

"Do you know someone named Hu Long?" Su Miaoke asked.

"Hu Long? Why? Do you know him?" Su Linsheng’s tone grew heavy.

"Dad... what if I told you that what’s been happening at the company might be related to this Hu Long? Would you believe me?" Su Miaoke asked tentatively.

"I’m checking out of the hospital now. We’ll talk when I get to the company." Su Linsheng’s voice had turned grim.
