Chapter 29: The Unorthodox Elf
Su Fang glanced left and right, then turned her head in disbelief, her voice sounding shaky: “Are you sure we’re in the right place?”
“This looks like some small company on the verge of going under… how could the Sacred Tree possibly be somewhere like this?”
Airwen didn’t say a word, only silently pointed at an inconspicuous corner of the hall.
Su Fang and Lin Guang followed her finger with their gaze.
There, they saw a plain ceramic flowerpot, inside of which was planted a withered little tree only half a person tall, with leaves that had yellowed and wilted.
If no one had said anything, Lin Guang might have even mistaken it for a money tree.
Su Fang froze for a moment, then her pupils contracted in shock: “That thing couldn’t be…”
Before she could even utter the words “the Sacred Tree,” she saw Airwen nod seriously.
“… Is this a joke?”
