Possessed By The God: God's Choice Series I (omegaverse bl)

Chapter 6: Escape... AGAIN.

Noah’s POV

My body is limp as the door is opened and Kai points at me with his thumb, he has switched from the book to his phone.

"My privacy has been invaded" the last Deus says while my head is spinning with what he just said.

Dad will never do that. He’s lying. Dad would rather fight to keep me safe...

"Come here" Damien orders and I genuinely can’t move, I can only look up at his smiling face with tired eyes.

He’s sick. Kai is sick. And Elias...Elias is the sickest of them all.

"Leave me alone" I whisper, feeling less like the man I am with every second I spend within these walls. Noah Goldsmith is a dignified omega not...this.

The sound of gunshots comes from Kai’s phone– it sounds like he’s playing a video game and he pauses it to address me.

"If you want safety in this house, don’t come to me, don’t go to Damien. Stay with Elias" Kai says with flat blue eyes and bright hair falling over his forehead.

"Shut up nerd, what do you know?" Damien asks as he flashes a devilish grin at his younger brother.

Kai shrugs and picks up his phone casually. He does seem to pity me as he says the next words: "at least Elias treats his possessions with so much care".

Possession.

It.

Mine.

I want to scream and tell them that I am a human being with pulse and feelings. That I’m a person and not an object.

"Come here" Damien repeats, beckoning at me and a broken sob slips past my throat. I just want to go home, I’m too exhausted to be here.

I’m not made for danger.

"Did you lose your fight already, little Gold? What a shame" Damien tsks and squats in front of me. His eyes flash golden as he scans my face.

The way his eyes roam my face doesn’t feel like Elias’s.

Elias feels like a meticulous scientist that’s looking for what you break or fix. While Damien does it for the way it makes me feel.

Uncomfortable.

"I was mistaken, you’re really Eli’s type...a tool" he whispers and suddenly, I am carried off the floor by someone else.

The arms carrying me don’t say a word as he walks down the stairs.

I’m still sobbing helplessly, my fingers dance on the edge of my birthmark. My eyes are blurred with tears, and even though I can’t see him...I can smell him.

Elias Deus, my...possessor.

"I wanted to go home" I say weakly and I hear a door creak open.

We’re back in his room again.

"Your home is where I place you, beautiful. You stay and you do as I say" he says and I drop my head.

"You have one hour before we get married on papers. They’ll get you dressed" he jerks his chin towards the wall and I turn my head to see the women there.

They’re blended in with the shadows like it’s their natural habitat. Their heads are bowed and their hands are in front of them.

"Get him dressed" Elias orders and my throat runs dry.

They already made me kneel. Made me cry. Made me beg. Making me strip in front of this monster is too much.

"Y-You should leave" I stutter and he tilts his head as if he doesn’t understand.

"Get him dressed" he says again and the maids rush forward. Ten different hands are stretched out and ready to take the clothes I’m wearing off me.

"Please!" I shout, crossing my hands over my chest. "Don’t" I beg and Elias lets out a measured breath as he gets closer to me.

"Why?"

"I don’t w-want that, I’ll dress myself" I say and Elias laughs. It’s short and deep, it sounds like he’s making fun of me.

"A possession has choice?" he asks and I don’t know where the strength comes from, but I growl at him and he smiles at my threat.

The smile stretches his lips but his eyes don’t change, they’re still dead and empty.

"Twenty minutes" he says and to my surprise, he turns around, leaves the room with his maid, and shuts the door behind him.

Once the door is closed, I open the bag with a fashion brand logo that is waiting for me.

It’s a black suit with gold buttons. The suit is made of fine fabrics, but why would I wear my enemy’s clothes when I know that half of my city is still alive.

I shove it back into the bag and go to his window. The window is open, good enough to let me slip out unnoticed, and low enough for me to jump out without hurting myself.

After a count of two in my head, I jump out of the window. And the moment my legs hit the floor, I start to run for my life.

No one stops me as I run for the silver gate. It’s as if no one recognizes me, and it gives me the opportunity to run closer to my way out.

But the closer I get, the more my run breaks into a slow walk. My sight isn’t very good, but when I finally make out the face of a person standing there, I stop.

Is that...

Elias Deus is standing at the gate like a silent guardian angel that has become a ghost that haunts the innocent.

Not a grim reaper...death himself.

One hand is in his pants pocket and the other one is holding up a pocket watch.

He’s dressed up formally, his hair is slicked back to show the defined and masculine beauty of his features.

My heavy breathing slows as I stand in front of him.

"Twenty minutes" he says.

"Let me through" I growl.

"Come. Let me show you something" he says and I refuse to move from my spot. I already came this far, he’d either take my dead body away from here or I finally leave this place.

"You won’t come?" Elias’s asks, pressing the small button of his pocket watch.

"Never, you bastard" I hiss and just in time, a familiar scream makes my body freeze.

Wait...that sound is too familiar.

"Will you come?" the alpha asks again and my breathing stutters.

"Was that– was that Zane?" I ask breathlessly and in answer to my question, another scream follows.

The scream sounds like he’s in raw pain. I can tell that he’s far from here, yet his voice is this loud.

What are they doing to him?

"No...no, wait...don’t hurt him" I say as I drop to my knees and Elias walks up to me slowly.

"We can do better than living like this beautiful. I don’t like to chase" he says and as tears stream down my face, he takes a strand of my blonde hair between his fingers.

"All it took was a scream from him to make you kneel" he whispers like he’s giving a report after a test and I sob weakly.

My second attempt at escape from him has failed.

"I found your button, beautiful. And I’ll push it. I’ll push it and push it till you bend or it breaks" Elias says and grips my hair tightly.

This is it.

It’s over for me. My life has ended at twenty two years old, just two weeks before I turn twenty three.
