Chapter 280: Slaying, Harvest, Mysterious Cross Sword
Chapter 280: Chapter 179: Slaying, Harvest, Mysterious Cross Sword
Rilis stared at Wang Ya’s fair face, an inexplicable sense of panic rising in her heart.
She had already pierced his heart with the Blood Sword. By all rights, he should be dead. That outcome should have been absolute.
Wizards were no exception. The body would die completely, and no technique could restore its Vitality.
But why…? Rilis watched as Wang Ya’s lips moved.
“You seem quite surprised!”
A faint white luster appeared on Wang Ya’s chest where he’d been stabbed. It transformed into scattering particles of light, which then drifted away and dissipated into the air.
The dispersion of the Dream Power was an omen. Like a soap bubble, Wang Ya’s body vanished from the physical world.
“Impossible!” Rilis’s pupils shrank, and she screamed as if she’d seen a ghost. “My Curse Power was clearly on you! There’s no way it was wrong! How could this happen?”
She hadn’t pierced Wang Ya’s real body.
It was a repeat of what happened in Celestial Wings Wizard City. This was another one of his illusionary body techniques.
‘This shouldn’t be happening.’
‘The curse could not have been mistaken.’
She didn’t understand. She couldn’t comprehend why.
She had specifically used her Curse Power to anchor Wang Ya, targeting his Illusion Body technique.
This should have disrupted his internal Particle Energy, making it impossible for him to use that troublesome Witchcraft.
POOF!
While Rilis was still stunned, Wang Ya’s body vanished completely. The surrounding crimson flames retracted toward the center, trapping her like a fish in a barrel. She was enveloped by the crimson glow from all sides—above, below, left, and right.
The temperature climbed even higher, and the gusting waves of air became so scorching that it was impossible to keep one’s eyes open.
Counterintuitively, the temperature was highest at the perimeter, transferring heat inward as if she were being steamed alive. Rilis could already see her hair starting to scorch. The moisture in her body evaporated relentlessly, leaving her lips painfully dry.
Wang Ya’s figure appeared at the edge of this special Illusion Demon Domain. But it wasn’t just one Wang Ya; ten Illusion Bodies manifested. They flickered between real and illusory, their auras rising and falling, making it impossible to distinguish the real one.
Combined Witchcraft [Wheel of Cause and Effect]
The Illusion Illusory Dream Realm was superimposed with the Fear-Burning Factor from the Fear-Burning Fire. Using exceptional control and Extraordinary Spiritual Power, the Fire Element Particle Energy was further compressed, making it even more explosive. Based on principles of diffusion and impact, it caused all combustible material within the area to burn out at an accelerated rate.
The resulting Energy Flame would start at over ten thousand degrees and could reach millions of degrees.
The very core, where the enemy was located, would be subjected to an instantaneous incineration at two million degrees.
Whether a Wizard or an Extraordinary Creature, the only outcome was to be incinerated into nothingness, with not a single particle of matter left behind.
From a distance, flames filled the sky in a sixty-seven-meter radius. The burning crimson light gathered inward toward the center, contracting like a spring after being released.
The terrifying pressure and temperature burned space itself, creating an optical illusion that looked like a black dot had appeared.
It was both astounding and terrifying.
In a daze, it seemed the crimson glow had converged into a giant wheel that, propelled by Fire Element Particle Energy, began to spin on its own. In reality, the combustible material within was being consumed, turning Rilis herself into fuel.
As long as any combustible material remained, the Energy Flame would not stop, and the Wheel of Cause and Effect Witchcraft would continue to turn.
Just like one’s sins, the burning would be endless unless body and soul were utterly extinguished.
…
Illusionary Thought Transformation allowed Wang Ya to use the Dream Gap, briefly entering the Dream Territory while simultaneously existing in reality.
It was as if the Dream Territory had replaced that area of the real world.
Physical attacks were completely ineffective.
Then, by utilizing the Illusion Demon Domain and Dream Shadow Replacement, he left a Dream Seed Illusion Body in his original place.
He had perfectly evaded her scheme and attack.
The curse technique was indeed real, but it wasn’t much of a threat to Wang Ya.
That bloodstained Cross Longsword, however, was special. It made Wang Ya’s scalp tingle.
‘I absolutely cannot let it pierce me.’
‘I can’t even touch the dried blood on it.’
This was a gut feeling Wang Ya had.
However, judging by its performance, it didn’t seem particularly special. It had no effect on Wang Ya while he was in his Illusion Body state.
“The effect of the Shadow Robe? It’s certainly a very rare Witchcraft Robe.”
Wang Ya raised an eyebrow, his gaze fixed on the dark light blooming from the center of the spinning wheel.
Like a sphere from a Mixed Cave, it expanded in all directions. The aura it radiated was astounding, reaching the level of an Extreme Wizard Apprentice.
It completely dispelled the physical effects of the Combined Witchcraft [Wheel of Cause and Effect].
The crimson wheel shattered in that same instant.
Shadow Power shielded Rilis, but it seemed to be an automatic defense. Rilis’s body was severely dehydrated; she was withered and gaunt, her hair charred black, and her skin stretched tight across her face, making her resemble a desiccated corpse.
“Wang Ya Harak!!” Rilis shrieked venomously. If the Magic Core within her Shadow Robe hadn’t activated, she would have died from that horrifying Witchcraft.
That level of power definitely reached 40 degrees.
“Your power…” Rilis felt a surge of resentment and terror, unable to accept it. ‘How long has it been?’ she thought. This old enemy had already raised his Power to the level of a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice, equal to her own.
