The evening's shenanigans had already been plentiful, but Wang Chenning didn't think anything of it. Seeing Li Yanxian putting on an act, he refused to give her a chance to continue her performance and simply pressed his lips to hers.

Li Yanxian never thought Wang Chenning would pull a move like this over a simple disagreement. By the time she tried to pull away, it was already too late.

But as Wang Chenning kissed her, she still resisted out of instinct.

After giving Wang Chenning a light bite, she struggled to turn her head away before burying her face in his shoulder.

"You're nothing but a hooligan!" Li Yanxian bit down on Wang Chenning's shoulder. "You don't have a single gentlemanly bone in your body!"

Wang Chenning took the chance to release her and made a show of leaving. "Since you don't want to get romantic, and you don't want to do... what should be done, I'll head back to get some rest. Good night!"

"Wang Chenning!" Li Yanxian stomped her foot. "You're just going to leave after taking advantage of me like that?"

"Then what would you have me do?" A sly grin spread across Wang Chenning's face. "Keep taking advantage of you!"

"I told you, I want to talk about something!" Li Yanxian plopped onto the sofa. "It's only ten-thirty, too early for bed. Can't we just sit down and have a proper talk?"

"Nope!" Wang Chenning refused again. "Since you're not in the mood, I'll go find a woman who is. Use it or lose it, you know? I need to get more... exercise!"

"Gross!" Li Yanxian rolled her eyes and snorted. "Then go on, get out of here!"

"Good night!" Wang Chenning waved to Li Yanxian, then turned and walked away.

Li Yanxian was stunned. Just as Wang Chenning reached for the door, she couldn't stop herself from calling out, "Wang Chenning!"

"What is it?" Wang Chenning turned, looking confused as Li Yanxian stood up. "Having second thoughts?"

"You really won't stay and talk with me?" She walked right up to him, a wronged look on her face. "Haven't you considered... if we have a nice chat..."

"But aren't we having a perfectly nice chat right now?" Wang Chenning said, pulling Li Yanxian into his arms and kissing her again.

This time, he used a bit of technique, and half of Li Yanxian's strength seemed to drain away. She ultimately failed to break free.

Five or six minutes later, Wang Chenning released the now-limp Li Yanxian. He chuckled and gave her a little wave. "So, good night for real this time?"

Without waiting for the blushing Li Yanxian to snap out of it, he opened the door and dashed out.

By the time Li Yanxian came to her senses from her daze, Wang Chenning had already taken the elevator upstairs.

Opening her door and seeing no sign of Wang Chenning in the hall, Li Yanxian furiously wiped her mouth. "That disgusting jerk! He's gone too far! Just you wait, I'll get you back for this! How dare he mess with me!"

Back in her room, she sent Wang Chenning a text: "Wang Chenning, I will never forget what you did to me tonight. I'll pay you back twofold!"

"I'd be delighted for you to pay me back twofold!" Wang Chenning's reply came back almost instantly. "How about it? You can kiss me for fifteen minutes."

Li Yanxian replied with a series of bloody cleaver emojis.

Wang Chenning sent back two kissing face emojis, followed by the two words, "Good night."

Furious, Li Yanxian threw her phone onto the bed, but she ultimately stopped herself from texting him again.

It was nearly half-past eleven by the time Wang Chenning drove up to Yang Xiaofei's villa.

"I was starting to think you weren't coming!" Yang Xiaofei said, letting Wang Chenning in. She was in her pajamas with her hair down, and she looked thoroughly displeased. "So, which woman were you just with?"

Wang Chenning replied, ticking them off on his fingers, "I kept Li Fuzhen, Luo Yuqing, and Li Yanxian company. You're the fourth woman I'm seeing tonight!"

"Yeah, right!" Yang Xiaofei obviously didn't believe him, rolling her eyes in disdain. "You're getting more and more disgusting, you know that?"

"What do you think? Will Bai Qianxun and Li Mingchao have people watching me?" Wang Chenning asked, ignoring her eye-roll. "If a post blows up online tonight saying I was seen sneaking into President Yang's villa in the dead of night, you think that would cause a city-wide scandal?"

Yang Xiaofei's expression faltered for a moment, but then she shook her head. "There shouldn't be anyone following you. If there were, my people would've spotted them."

"Good." Seeing that he had successfully changed the subject, Wang Chenning nodded. "So, you think we should teach those two another lesson?"

Yang Xiaofei was quick on the uptake. "So it was those two women who taught Bai Qianxun a lesson?" she asked immediately.

"That's a question you shouldn't be asking." Wang Chenning was smiling, but his gaze was sharp. "Asking such a childish question isn't in character for President Yang."

Yang Xiaofei rolled her eyes again and changed the subject. "You're leaving for Jiangnan tomorrow. When will you be back?"

Wang Chenning smiled. "Ten days, maybe two weeks. It's going to take some time. Plus, after I get back from Jiangnan, I have to make a trip to Chang'an."

"Chang'an?" Yang Xiaofei sounded surprised. "What about your teaching duties? And your specialist clinic?"

Wang Chenning shook his head. "I'll make the necessary arrangements."

"I want to go to Chang'an too!" Yang Xiaofei said softly after a moment's hesitation. "I haven't been in years. I hear it's developed quite well, and even some of the mediocre tourist spots have been nicely renovated. Could you... take me with you and show me around?"

"You can, but not this time," Wang Chenning said firmly. "I have several important things to handle on this trip to Chang'an. It would be... inconvenient if you were there."

"Alright." Although Yang Xiaofei was dying to know why her presence would be an inconvenience, she didn't press the issue.

"Treat me," she said, lying down and spreading her arms out to her sides. "Wherever you need to apply the treatment... you can undo my clothes yourself."

"Just don't blame me for being a scoundrel!" Wang Chenning laughed. "There are quite a few points I need to needle today. The Danzhong point is essential, and so is the Huiyin point."

"You're the one in charge," Yang Xiaofei said, her face flushing red, but she showed no sign of resistance.

Wang Chenning started preparing his treatment supplies.

"Don't you dare do what you did last time!" Yang Xiaofei warned, tilting her face up to watch him prepare his supplies. "If you do, this isn't over between us!"

"But what if I want to do it again?" Wang Chenning said, giving her a wicked grin. "I just love the way you look when you're all flustered and lost in the moment."

"You're so disgusting!" Yang Xiaofei exploded, kicking out at him. She then said resentfully, "If you ever dare do that again, I'm never speaking to you again!"

"President Yang is getting more and more charming," Wang Chenning said, leaning closer. He watched with a grin as her lovely face grew redder. "If I took this opportunity to... make things a done deal, would you fight back?"

Yang Xiaofei couldn't take his blatant teasing any longer. She simply closed her eyes and huffed, "Well, it's not like anyone would hear me if I screamed my lungs out. And I'm certainly no match for you physically. So just do whatever you want!"
