Wang Chenning took Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu straight to Li Garden Hall.
He had arranged to meet Zhang Mingchao there.
He believed in keeping business in-house. Since Zhang Mingchao would be footing the bill anyway, and Wang Chenning wanted to see Zheng Qiuhang, he had arranged to meet Zhang Mingchao for lunch at Li Garden Hall.
While Wang Chenning was away, Zheng Qiuhang had been keeping track of his movements.

After introducing Zheng Qiuhang to Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu, Wang Chenning explained solemnly, "Miss Zheng is a very trusted friend of mine and the one who manages my businesses. From now on, when you aren't on another assignment, you are responsible for her safety."
"Yes, Master!" Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu readily agreed.
Zheng Qiuhang was so moved by his introduction and his concern for her safety that she was on the verge of tears.
Wang Chenning then gave Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu a five-day supply of the antidote and told Zheng Qiuhang to purchase a house for them.
"Buy one for yourself, too. You can't treat the hall as your home year-round. You need a place of your own!" Wang Chenning then transferred fifty million to Zheng Qiuhang, telling her to handle the purchases as soon as possible.
Zheng Qiuhang was so overwhelmed she didn't know what to say.
He was giving her money to buy a house, a house that would be in her name. 'How can I ever repay such an extravagant gift?' She had no idea.
In front of Zheng Qiuhang, Wang Chenning explained the situation on Weibo to Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu. He then gave them their mission: they were to track down the instigators, without fail.

But since Wang Chenning had given them the order, refusal was not an option.
"I'll have people assist you," he added. After giving his orders, Wang Chenning dismissed the two women.
After Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu left, Zheng Qiuhang curiously asked about them.
Wang Chenning told her what he could, then warned her not to tell anyone else about the two women.
Zheng Qiuhang once again felt the extraordinary trust he placed in her. "That's exactly why I asked you here today—to help me investigate this," Wang Chenning said, getting straight to the point. "Anyone can see this was a deliberate, well-planned attack. I haven't been in Yandu for long, so the list of people I've offended isn't long. You know who they are, so I'll have to trouble you to look into it."
As Wang Chenning spoke, his gaze sharpened.
The look unnerved Zhang Mingchao, and he immediately understood: Wang Chenning suspected him, too.
If he made excuses or refused to help, it would only confirm Wang Chenning's suspicions.
Although Wang Chenning had recently given him a longer-lasting dose of the antidote, Zhang Mingchao still didn't dare to provoke him, terrified of being subjected to that living hell again.
He also needed to prove his innocence, so he agreed at once.
"Brother Ning, I would've looked into this even if you hadn't asked!" he said, thumping his chest in assurance. "I'll do everything in my power to help you get to the bottom of this. Let's hope for a bit of luck."
Wang Chenning smiled and nodded. "I'll be waiting for your good news, then."
He changed the subject, telling Zhang Mingchao about his recent trip to East Asia.
He mentioned his collaboration with the two princesses of the Shanxing Group, his partnership with the Pu family, his connection to the Tian family in Japan, and the potential for future expansion.
Zhang Mingchao had heard rumors, but hearing all this from Wang Chenning himself, his eyes widened in astonishment.
"Brother Ning, you're incredible!" Zhang Mingchao couldn't help but give him a thumbs-up. "From now on, you're the only one I'll ever admire!"
This wasn't just flattery. Zhang Mingchao was genuinely in awe of what Wang Chenning had done and accomplished during his trip to East Asia.
