Chapter 171
Ethan’s POV
"Did you find anything?" I asked Nathan through mind-link
"No, whoever it was must have left, but I don’t think it was a Rogue," Nathan replied through the link. We had been looking for whoever got close to our territory but couldn’t find a trace of them. There were no unusual smells which made me think whoever came near our territory must have used magic to hide their scent.
"Maybe it was a witch or someone working with a witch," I said.
"You might be right. Let’s have Linda track for magic," Nathan said. Linda was one of the witches that lived on our territory. She was Mated to one of our warriors. I agreed with Nathan and mind-linked Carl, Linda’s Mate, to have her test for magic, and he agreed. After that, Nathan and I returned to the Packhouse to see our beautiful Mate.
When we entered the backyard, I was shocked to see Mariah getting up from the ground and Kate mugging her.
"I am not a bitch to be fucked with. The next time you lunge at me, it will be worse," Kate said, and I got pissed off hearing that Mariah tried to fight her. It wasn’t the first time Mariah tried to fight someone I was attracted to, but this was different. Kate was my Mate and her Luna. We might not have finished the Mating Process, but Nathan and I had already accepted Kate, making her our Mate and Packs Luna.
"What is going on?" I growled, causing Kate, Mariah, and everyone that was watching to look at Nathan and me.
"Ethan, Look at what this girl did to me. She said that she was your Mate and then attacked me," Mariah said, trying to sound innocent, and Kate rolled her eyes.
"Oh, My Goddess. I don’t have time for this shit," Kate said, looking at Farrah. "You said you have a car, right?" Kate asked Farrah.
"Yeah," Farrah replied.
"Can you take me back to the Blood Moon Pack?" Kate asked, causing Nathan and I to growl.
"No, you can’t leave," Nathan said
"Yes, I can, and I will. You are not the boss of me, and no man will ever tell me what to do," Kate replied angrily before walking away.
Nathan and I left. I was about to follow them, but Mariah got in front of me. Her nose looked broken and was bleeding from where Kate had hit her. "Where are you going, Ethan?" she asked.
"To my Mate," I replied and tried to walk away, but she put her hand on my arm, trying to stop me, but I pushed her away. "If you come near my Mate again, I will kill you, and it is Alpha Ethan to you," I said and walked away.
When I made it to the front of the Packhouse, Nathan stood in front of Kate, who was trying to get in the passenger side seat. "Move out of my way," Kate said
"No, It isn’t safe for you to leave yet," Nathan said
"Look, Kate, we apologize for what happened with Courtney and Mariah. They had no right speaking to you. Nathan and I will take care of them," I said
"I don’t need you to take care of them. I already did," Kate said.
"They are still going to be punished for their disrespect toward you," Nathan said, and Kate sighed.
"Whatever. Can I just go home," Kate asked. I could tell she was upset and had every right to be.
"I know you are upset, but I want you to know that Nathan and I haven’t touched anyone since we met you," I said
"Yeah, since the moment we laid eyes on you, we have only wanted you," Nathan added.
"Okay," Kate said.
"I understand that you would like to go home. Nathan and I will take you just to be on the safe side. We don’t know who was by our territory. Is that fine?" I asked
"Yeah," Kate replied. Nathan drove while I sat in the back with Kate, who didn’t say a word to us the entire trip back to the Blood Moon Pack. She seemed to be deep in thought the whole time.
"Thanks for taking me home," Kate said.
"Thanks for coming. We want to tell you again how sorry we are for what happened today," I said, and she stayed quiet.
"I will see you guys later," Kate said and walked into the Packhouse before we could respond.
"I am going to kill Mariah and Courtney for what they did today," Nathan growled.
"They will definitely be punished. We have to make sure everyone understands they cannot disrespect their Luna and get away with it," I replied.

Kate’s POV
"You know Ethan and Nathan have been asking about you," Ebony said as my phone vibrated again. I looked to see Nathan’s name show on the screen for the hundredth time.
It had been a week since the incident with two she-wolves that had a sexual relationship with my Mates in the past. I hadn’t spoken to Ethan and Nathan since they brought me home that night.
"Kate, you need to speak to them. You know the relationship they had with those females were before they met you," Ebony said. We were at her castle in the Silvermoon Pack studying for finales. I was so happy school would be out in a month, and we would graduate.
"That isn’t what I am upset about. I’m not really upset with Ethan and Nathan. Well, that’s a lie. I don’t like that they had sex with someone before me. I might not have wanted a Mate, but I saved myself for him, or, I guess, them, but that isn’t the reason I am not speaking with them," I said
"Then why are you upset?" Ebony asked, confused, and I sighed.
"I am mad because I am no different from all you other she-wolves that found your Mate. When those she-wolves told me they had sex with Ethan and Nathan, I felt a pain in my chest, and I wanted to cry because of how bad it hurt knowing they had been with them. I wanted to rip both of their necks off their heads," I said.
"So you are not talking to them because you were upset that you are mad and hurt your Mates were with other women before you?" Ebony asked confused
"Yep, pretty much. I don’t want to be that she-wolf that fights other females over my Mates. I feel they should have put those she-wolves in check before I got there. They didn’t even know I was his Mate. Everyone found out after I cussed the one slut Courtney out," I said
"Kate, it’s normal to feel the way you are feeling. They are your Mates," Ebony said
"You don’t understand. All I do is think about them. It hurts being away from them. They are taking over my thoughts," I said, and Ebony and I stayed silent for a moment.
"Kate, I understand why you feel the way you do. You are upset. You never wanted a Mate because you didn’t want a man to take over your thoughts, and now you have two men you constantly think about. I know you think having a Mate is a curse, but it’s actually a blessing. Mate, love and cherish each other, and if you ask me, you are lucky because you have two mates that will give you the world. I have known Ethan and Nathan for a while now, and they are good guys. They will protect you with your life," Ebony said
"I guess," I replied, not knowing what to say after her speech. It did feel good knowing there were two sexy Goddess-like men that would cherish and love me.
"Just give them a chance, okay?" Ebony asked, and I thought about it for a moment.
"Fine, I will give them a chance."
