During the Dark Ages

"Then I guess I win." Alice said with a smirk and walked towards me. The other saints looked at her with a mixture of emotions and sensing their gaze, Alice turned towards them.

"Do you guys wanna fight too?" She asked with a menacing glare

"No, we're good." Claire said, holding up her hands defensively and the other two quickly shook their heads.

"Okay then." She said with a pleased smile.

"I think it's time I went back to the mansion. Goodbye, you two." Synthia said as she and her saints walked away. Alice and I watched them leave and once they were out of sight, we went back inside the house.

"What should we do now?" Alice asked as she sat down on the couch

"Well I'm gonna go get something to eat since your attempt at draining me of all my blood has left me famished. You should probably go change your clothes, they are covered in dust and blood." I said and she looked down at her clothes before rushing upstairs. I walked over to the fridge in search of food.

'I will need to restock some food for myself and since Alice only needs blood, and since I'm apparently her favorite food, I won't need to get anymore blood bags.' I thought as I looked in the refrigerator with little food left. I took out a soda and looked in the cupboard for a snack and thankfully I found that their was some junk food left.

'But where in the city am I going to find edible food? The electricity has been gone for like a week and a good portion of the city was destroyed and I assume most of the non perishables have been destroyed along with it. Plus, rummaging through the city looking for scraps of food does not look good for my image.' I thought as I ate, but then I remembered the demonic beasts in the forest and smiled.

'I guess it's time to go hunting.' I thought. After around an hour, Alice finally came back downstairs in new clothes. She sat down beside me on the sofa and leaned over on my shoulder.

"So…what are we going to do all day?" She asked

"No idea." I replied

"Maybe you could get an early start on your scouting mission." She said and looked up at me.

"And what are you going to do all day?" I asked

"Sleep." She said and yawned. Her response caused me to raise an eyebrow. She just slept for an entire day and now she wants to sleep out another one.

'Well whatever.'

"Have fun with that." I said and got up off the sofa.

"Wait." She said and I turned around.

"I'm hungry." She said in a cute voice causing my eyelid twitch in annoyance.

After feeding my gluttonous vampire, I flew towards the forest under the morning sun. As soon as I reached the edge of the forest I activated the [Stealth] trait. I flew back to the spot where I first found Alice and activated my [Aura Vision]. I didn't find the large cluster she told me about so I flew around the forest and I even passed where I fought the Greater imp and stopped. I stared down at the destruction left behind by the fight like a scar left on the forest telling everyone that two powerful entity fought here. I could feel pride swell in my heart as I looked at the destruction and devastation I left behind but I had a mission so I couldn't indulge my feeling of pride…for now. I flew away from the battle site and after a couple minutes I finally found what I was looking for.
