During the Dark Ages

Alice, in her human form, and Kirt stood a distance away from each other with their weapons in hand. They glared at each other, Kirt's gaze filled with arrogance and well hidden anxiety while Alice gazed at him with contempt and a cold fury as she prepared to humble him. The air between them was brimmed with hostile energy as they prepared to prove which of them was better.

"Begin!!" Synthia shouted when she saw that both of them were ready. Kirt's spear was instantly covered in electricity as he charged at Alice. Alice created hands made of shadows and sent them towards the incoming Kirt. Unfazed, Kirt continued forwards and thrust his spear forward and released bolts of lightning towards the hands and they were all electrocuted and turned back into shadows on the ground. Kirt smirked and looked at where Alice was a moment prior but she was no longer there. He looked around searching for her but he couldn't find a trace of her.

*Bam*

Suddenly Kirt felt something impact his back and he fell to the ground. He quickly got up and angrily shouted, his face covered in dirt.

"Stop hiding, you coward!!" In response Alice sent shadow tentacles towards him and he defended himself with his spear but one of them managed to wrap around his leg and he quickly stabbed it, making it transform back into a shadow on the ground. He saw another shadow tentacle heading towards him and he sent a bolt of lightning towards it.

"Ahhhhhhhhh." Alice screamed in pain

"There you are." Kirt said and fired an even more powerful bolt towards the same direction but Alice didn't become visible nor did she scream again as the bolt hit empty air before colliding into a nearby building

*Bam*

Kirt was kicked in the back once again and he skidded across the ground for a few meters before coming to a stop. I could see the frustration written on his face and I couldn't help but grin.....but, I think Alice should stop playing around. Using [Shadow Cloak] to fight was all well and good, but relying on it too much isn't a good idea and according to her own report, her overconfidence in that ability was the reason she was caught by that Greater imp.

"Alice, stop playing with him." So like the good teacher I was, I told her to give up an advantage and fight her opponent fairly.

"Fine." I heard her whisper and I saw a leg appear beside Kirt and before he could react, he was sent flying once again and Alice finally came into view as her [Shadow Cloak] disappeared.

"Huh, you should have kept that invisibility of yours because now…..YOU'RE DEAD!!!!" Kirt shouted as he shot over a dozen bolts of lightning from the tip of his spear towards Alice. Seeing the attack heading her way, Alice raised both her hands and a wall of shadows appeared blocking the attack. The wall crumbled and turned into dozens of shadow hands heading towards Kirt. He once again shot a barrage of lightning bolts from his spear to stop the hands, and they once again turned back into shadows on the ground. Alice raced towards Kirt and he thrust his spear towards her, but she parried it with her long sword and sparks of gold and red flew into the air. The electricity wasn't being conducted through her sword like I thought it would and Kirt seemed to have realized this as well as he jumped back.

"Tch." Clicking his tongue, Kirt channeled more Holy energy and even some of his aura into the spear making it glow brighter and his lightning bolts seem to become more powerful as well. Kirt pushed off the ground towards Alice and she lunged towards him as well, they clashed with their weapons and they seemed to be evenly matched. But on closer analysis of the fight, the only reason they are evenly matched is because of Kirt's holy weapon. After pouring more energy and his aura into it the weapon became even more powerful than before. I took note of this because we, Alice and I, haven't really experimented much with our weapons just our skills and traits, but if we want to be as strong as possible then we need to explore every aspect possible.

The two of them continued clashing against each other and slowly Alice was being pushed back and if nothing changed, she would eventually lose the fight. Just as I thought this, Alice deflected a spear thrust and a shadow tentacle wrapped around Kirt's legs.

"[Demons Pride], [Demon Enchant]." I heard her mumble to herself and a bright red aura surrounded her and her sword before she shot towards Kirt who had just gotten rid of the tentacles. When he looked up, he saw Alice's sword mere inches from his face.

"Do you give up?" Alice asked and cold sweat dripped down Kirt's face as he stared at the blade.

"…..Yes." He conceded hesitantly
