Chapter 49 - 49 Trouble(3)

I was in my room, sleeping soundly when I heard someone loudly knocking on the front door with my powerful sense of hearing. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep but the knocking continued, getting louder and louder somehow until I could no longer take it and climbed out of bed with a yawn.
"Why did she come this early?" I grumbled as I walked down the stairs. It was early morning right now and I couldn't fathom why Synthia couldn't wait until…..I don't know noon before coming here.
"Good morning, Colin." Synthia said politely before walking into the house. Behind her I saw four other people I did not expect to see because I didn't expect Synthia to be accompanied by anyone.
"Why are they here?" I asked pointing towards Claire, Tim, Roxy and that knife guy, Kirt. They were sporting shiny new Holy weapons with Claire and Tim carrying immaculately crafted swords with white hilts with a gold trim and silver blades, Roxy carrying a blue bow but strangely no arrows and Kirt having a white shafted and silver blade spear and not a kitchen knife like when we first met.
"They are going to help us fight the demons you told me about." Synthia replied, and I looked at her in surprise.
"How? Just because they have those shiny holy weapons doesn't mean they will be much use in a fight." I said, raising my eyebrow quizzically in her direction.
"Hey we can fight. I'll have you know we became Priests two days ago." Claire said proudly
"Congratulations on finally finding religion." I said, shocking Claire speechless then I looked at Synthia.
"Seriously how are they gonna help. Don't tell me we're going to use them as bait? Even though I'm a Demon I do not approve of such things. Well maybe you can use Kirt." I said pointing at him.
"Hey!!" Kirt yelled but before he could say anything else Synthia stopped him by simply raising her hand
"Okay, I think that's enough, Colin stop teasing them and I'll explain." She said and I patiently waited but before she could start Alice came downstairs finally.
"Good morning everyone.'' She said with a yawn. She was wearing a blue pajama bottom she found and a white tee shirt.
"You finally woke up." I said and she nodded her head while walking towards me and I instantly knew what she wanted but I stopped her.
"What? Don't tell me that you're shy because people are here." She said seductively causing everyone to look at me weirdly but I kept my cool.
"No, I just think you should try and drink from blood bags every now and then." I said
"But those taste horrible." She whined.
"It's either that or you'll have to go hungry." I said sternly and she just groaned and walked towards the fridge not even bothering to put up any resistance. She soon came back with a blood bag in her mouth.
"Oh, so you're a vampire that's why you didn't want to come out during the day." Synthia said and Alice just nodded her head while slowly drinking the blood bag.
"Who is she?" Roxy asked while looking at Alice.
"Oh right you guys haven't met. This is Alice the vampire. Alice, these are Claire, Tim, Roxy and Kirt and they are priests." I said pointing to each of them.
"They are priests of what religion?" Alice asked, and I had to hold in a laugh as I wondered if she heard me a few minutes ago and was playing along with my earlier joke, but I wasn't complaining.
"Don't know they haven't told me yet." I replied and I could see their eyebrows twitch along an annoyed expression forming on their faces. Well the four of them did, Synthia actually had an amused expression on her face.
"Okay, I think that's enough you two." Synthia said while clapping her hands together.
"Let me explain. A priest is the first stage humans achieve while cultivating on path of Enlightenment. This happens when they gather enough holy energy in their body causing it to change a bit similar to when we evolve but not quite the same as you can see." Synthia explained and I finally understood what they meant when they said they were priests.
"So what tier are they?" Alice asked
"They are currently at tier 2." Synthia replied and I could see them regaining some of their pride.
"What do you have to say about that, huh Colin?" Claire said
"I reached tier 2 in a day not a week." I said flatly, making Claire's eyelid twitch in annoyance
"Actually they are kind of different from us when we were tier 2." Synthia said
"How so?" I asked
"When you were at tier 2 you couldn't manipulate your demonic energy that well could you." She said and I nodded.
"Well even though they are just tier 2, they can manipulate holy energy just as well as a tier 3 and even though they are physically weaker than a tier 2 Demon or Angel normally, but with my [Blessing] boosting their powers, they are just as strong as you were at tier 2." She said and I could see the four of them swell with pride. This was the second time I heard Synthia mention a blessing and the first time I dismissed it thinking it was nothing but now I wasn't so sure.
