My Married Roommate Asked Me to Give Her a Baby

Chapter 40 – Are You Diamond-Plated

Fiona jumped like someone had stepped on her tail.

"No, no. I don't want to fight."

"Um... Evan, I have something to say to you."

Evan leaned back in the chair and snorted.

"Say it."

Fiona bit her lip.

"There are too many people here. Can we talk after school?"

Evan laughed coldly.

He guessed Fiona probably wanted to beg for mercy in private, asking him not to beat her anymore.

In truth, Evan had never personally beaten her. Wendy had slapped her, and Wayne had followed along. Evan himself had not even touched a strand of Fiona's hair.

When he returned to his seat, Wendy leaned over.

"What did she say? What does she want? Still trying to fight?"

Evan shook his head with disdain.

"No way. Does she have that courage?"

Wendy lifted her chin proudly.

"Exactly. My baby is the most handsome and the strongest."

As soon as Wendy said that, the classmates around them shivered with disgust.

After class, Wendy was pulled away by dorm friends to buy daily supplies. She greeted Evan and left first.

Wayne, that fat bastard, had stayed up all night under his blanket reading novels. With two panda eyes, he ran back to the dorm to sleep as soon as class ended.

Evan walked toward the school gate alone with both hands in his pockets.

Before he got far, Fiona hurried after him from behind.

"Evan!"

Evan stopped and turned.

Seeing Fiona catch up with an anxious face, he frowned.

"If you have something to say, say it."

His voice was impatient.

Fiona looked around at the students coming and going, then lowered her voice.

"It's not convenient here. Can we find a corner?"

Evan wanted to see what this woman was planning, so he nodded and followed her into the small grove.

They walked dozens of meters inside. After confirming there was not even a ghost nearby, Fiona stopped.

"Evan, tell me honestly. Did you help Wendy because she took the initiative and slept with you?"

Evan froze.

Wait.

How did people at school know this?

Damn it. There really was no wall in this world that did not leak wind.

Evan narrowed his eyes.

"Who told you?"

Fiona sneered.

"Do I need someone to tell me? Wendy said it herself in the dorm. She said she had already slept with you."

Evan's face darkened.

Speechless.

It seemed Wendy had borrowed his name and become the boss of the girls' dorm. Bringing up bed matters was probably just a way to establish authority.

Evan clicked his tongue.

"What does that have to do with you? Why did you chase me here to ask?"

Fiona bit her lip hard.

After making a difficult decision, she said, "Evan, if you're willing... I can also let you have me once."

Evan made a hard "hm?"

"Are you sick?"

He reached out to touch Fiona's forehead.

How should he describe Fiona?

Her looks were only average, barely decent. She was not short and had some flesh on her body.

Her chest was indeed large, although not as lifted as Hannah's or Wendy's, but paired with her curving hips, she still counted as sexy.

That was exactly why Mason, that fool, had once been willing to lick her boots so desperately.

Fiona slapped Evan's hand away. Her eyes reddened with urgency.

"I'm not joking. I'm serious."

Evan looked at her coldly.

"Why would you suddenly let me have you? Are you mentally ill? What happened?"

Fiona lowered her head and bit her lip.

"If I let you sleep with me once... can you lend me eight thousand?"

Evan froze for a second.

Then he laughed from anger.

"No."

"Are you diamond-plated? Eight thousand? Damn, outside bathhouses are two hundred a time. Why do you open your mouth and ask eight thousand?"

Fiona hurriedly said, "I... it's my first time. First times are supposed to be more expensive."

Evan was too lazy to listen.

He snorted.

"Then keep it and wait for it to appreciate. I don't want it."

He turned to leave.

Fiona completely panicked and lunged forward, grabbing Evan's arm tightly.

"Even if you don't lend me money, that's fine."

In truth, Fiona knew very clearly that Evan had no reason to lend her eight thousand. They were not relatives or friends. Also, Evan was only a student and might not even have that much money.

Seeing him about to leave, Fiona laid everything bare.

"Here's the thing. I borrowed eight thousand from loan sharks outside, and I can't pay it back. The people lending the money are from the Canton Crew."

"How about this? You come forward and hold the scene for me. Scare them a little. Make them give me more time to pay."

"If you help, I'll sleep with you once for free."

After hearing that, Evan became completely speechless.

When a person was truly speechless, there really was nothing to say.

"Fiona, are you out of your damn mind?"

"If you want to negotiate with me, first you need the right to negotiate."

"You don't seriously think the few pounds of flesh on your body are worth that much, do you?"

Evan's words were poisonous and harsh, each one stabbing directly into Fiona's heart.

Fiona's face was ordinary. Although she had some figure, Evan was not hungry enough to take such a huge risk just to sleep with her once.

He understood too well.

The Canton Crew was real organized crime, not the little trash at school.

He was a student.

Why would he go provoke a real gang because he had eaten too much and had nothing better to do?

Evan pushed Fiona's shoulder away without mercy.

"People pay the price for their own choices."

"I can't handle this mess, and I won't. Wipe your own ass."

After dropping those words, Evan put his hands in his pockets and left the grove without looking back.

Fiona collapsed onto the grass and watched Evan disappear completely, despair rising inside her.

What should she do?

The loan deadline was almost here.

If she really could not pay...

Would the Canton Crew actually drag her to some dirty salon and make her sell herself?

The reason Fiona had swallowed her pride and begged Evan was that, in her view, Evan was not ugly.

If sleeping with him once could get his protection, that did not seem like the worst thing.

After all, Mason no longer cared about her.

She had to find a new backer.

She had thought her figure was decent enough and Evan would agree.

She had not expected him to refuse so decisively.

Fiona took out her phone and found April's number.

She dialed.

"Hello, April. What you said before... does it still count?"

On the other end, April froze for a moment.

She had not expected Fiona to collapse under pressure so quickly and compromise.

"Of course it counts."

"I can talk to the manager. Since it's your first time, it can sell for two thousand."

"You're a student, so after that, each time should be around five hundred."

"The manager takes one-third. The remaining two-thirds are yours."

Fiona thought for a moment.

"Then... let me think about it a little longer."
