Chapter 28 27:
"tell me what use it is for us to have this toy, ha, what do other races call it? Ha, power armor? The poor thing cannot contain the strength of a nato, how do you imagine it could be of help for an adult?". Vexa shook her head.
"yes, but, but the technology".
"the marvel you speak of seems based on obsolete technology, from long before the great imperial advance".
Korr wanted to refute her, but his viltrumite super mind also seemed against him.
"yes, you are absolutely right". He said, sighing.
It was hard for him to believe that those flying tractors they called spaceships on viltrum were actually capable of doing things that could even be considered some of the most impressive and advanced transports in the universe.
Suddenly, he felt the tingling of electricity wanting to fry him with thousands of volts, but as if it were a small annoying prick, he ripped the armor off as if it were cardboard.
"f-fuck", korr complained.
"haha", vexa mocked him to his face. "your actions seem so banal, where did you learn to do so many strange things korr-add?".
Korr only looked at her for a moment, but refused to answer her, sulking.
He looked at his reflection through the polished metal of the scrap that was that discontinued suit by the standards of the empire, and barely recognized himself.
He was bald, and pink, as if born again. All of his skin had grown back in just a few hours under the supervision of the imperial academy's medical wing, and he did not have a single hair on his body.
He was recovered, but he always felt that itching sensation running across his skin, and constantly resisted having to scratch himself and give himself a rash because of the sensitivity of his skin.
Things happened while he was unconscious. Things happened to which, he simply did not know how to react, but which evidently, he would have preferred had never happened in the first place.
Everything was surreal, everything was intense. He felt calm, but a few hours ago, he desired the death and destruction of everything breathing around him.
Apparently he had ¿anger issues?
No, probably not.
But the reality was that he had killed someone, right? He killed with his own hands. Is he then a murderer?
but that would be the only time, right?
Korr did not remember having dismembered a living being with his own hands, but the intention was there the entire time. did that make him evil, right?
He only wanted to stop feeling pain, no. He wanted them to feel the same pain he was feeling, then. was he evil for wanting others to experience what he had experienced?
That was evil, right?
He could still smell the odor of burnt flesh around him, the way it filled his nose. He thought he was going to die, he truly thought his last moment alive would be that disastrous.
And he thought it was, until he awoke once more within the whitish bars of his authoritarian prison.
Vexa observed him for a moment, the way his eyes dilated, thinking and thinking, without focusing on anything in particular. At this rate, it seemed he would enter a panic attack, and the last thing she wanted was having to put him to sleep once again.
So she did not fill her mouth with pretty words and spoke to him directly, without any sort of detours.
"korr-add, it is time to react. You tore him apart", she told him, her gray eyes looking at him as if she could see through his person.
Korr flinched at the instructor's change in attitude, his fists clenching tightly at the words of the young woman in front of him.
Effectively, he did.
"You tore him to pieces, there is no need to dance around it so much. Kaelus was an Executioner, the best war dog the empire could have had, but he was not capable of measuring his sadism, reaping the fruits that he himself sowed".
Korr nodded, without saying anything about it. Because what did he have to object? he was a murderer, right? Of course he was.
"attention, nato!", she roared at him loudly, causing korr to straighten up with confusion and some fear.
"this nato...".
"I do not give a fuck what you say, keep your mouth shut!", she interrupted him again. "your reaction is disgusting me, it is... too weak and repulsive how the hell do you intend to crumble over the death of a simple dog?".
Korr thought about vexa's words, but did not respond anything about it.
The death of a dog, the death of a murderer, the death of a ruthless and malevolent psychopathic soulless executioner, was still the death of a life.
How do you respond to something like that? How do you react to something like that? How do you react to your first death?
Alone, in the technical hangar, the roar of the machines in operation filled the uncomfortable silence.
Vexa observed him with an extremely cold gaze. However, there was no doubt that he was being trained in a very different way from what would be expected of a nato's instructor.
Vexa rose into the air, advancing toward the exit.
"follow me", she ordered.
"yes, instructor".
Both left the hangar.
Outside the facilities, the wind seemed to oscillate around them while both ascended.
Apparently, according to the current season, there had not been much wind for quite some time, but none of that seemed interesting to korr.
He remained silent, because he did not dare open his mouth and say something he might regret later.
Fear gnawed at him, and he felt that for some time now he had left something of himself, something very important of his being, in that disastrous battle.
Flying beside Vexa, barely following her, he tried to keep his mind clear, although it was difficult.
Kill, kill, kill. That was what he asked for, right? Because he would die anyway, right?
Although he had not realized it yet, vexa observed him from her position, her brow furrowed with notable displeasure in her expression. She felt that something of her was inside this nato, and that displeased her considerably.
