An Awakener with the Gamer Class

Chapter 95: Chicken

Wolf Ravine — Violet had returned to the edge of the ravine.

It was quiet during the day. Only a few wolves could be seen wandering around.

The length of the ravine was truly difficult to imagine.

Far in the distance, a layer of fog obstructed the view. Violet couldn’t see any farther.

After observing her surroundings for a while, Violet leaped onto a large tree covered in branches and leaves.

Once she slipped inside, her figure disappeared from sight.

She couldn’t remain in Invisible Mode while waiting for Abel Wilson, so hiding was her only option.

Enzo wasn’t sure when the man would arrive.

"Mm..."

He put out his cigarette when he suddenly saw Bella walking toward the entrance of his post.

Today, she was wearing long jeans, large boots that made her appear taller, and a tight black tank top.

Her blonde hair was tied into a high ponytail. Even though she was slightly sweaty, she didn’t look messy at all.

It seemed she had gotten better at utilizing her built-in armor, leaving no visible signs of battle on her.

Enzo opened the door before she could knock.

Bella smiled when she saw him and walked right in.

By now, the others no longer seemed to find it strange when Bella entered his post.

"Where have you been? I brought some food, but you weren’t here," Bella said.

She took a food container out of her ring.

It contained pizza. Naturally, it was still warm because it had been sealed inside a Storage Artifact.

"I had a few things to take care of..." Enzo replied.

And at that moment, Bella had already wrapped her arms around his neck.

"We’re doing it tonight, right?" she asked with a charming smile.

"Of course, of course. There’s no way I could say no..." Enzo replied.

This woman clearly wanted it just as badly.

"By the way, I have something for you."

Enzo took out a large book, forcing Bella to release her arms from around his neck.

"This..."

The woman’s eyes immediately widened.

The book had a pitch-black cover, with the faint silhouette of a person holding a dagger.

(Master of Assassin, A-Class Talent!)

The title could still be seen despite the dark color.

How could Bella not be shocked?

It wasn’t as if she had never seen a Talent Book before.

However, the best she had ever seen was B-Class.

She had never seen an A-Class Talent Book.

"Combined with your Knight Master Transformation Talent, this will only make you more versatile in battle. It’s my gift to you," Enzo said with a smile.

"Isn’t this too valuable, Enzo?" Bella asked.

"That’s exactly why it’s for you."

"What about you?"

Bella was still hesitant.

"You’re still worried about me? Of course I have other good things for myself. Come on, use it. Having two A-Class Talents is far more effective than having only one. That way, you can keep up with Waylon Brown."

Enzo deliberately used a firm tone because Bella seemed reluctant to take so much from him.

"Okay..."

The woman finally nodded.

She dripped a drop of her blood onto the book.

In an instant, the book sank into her body.

Her aura surged for a brief moment, and there seemed to be a subtle change in it.

"Assassin... So this is what it feels like to become an Assassin."

Bella was quite surprised.

"If you make good use of it, you might even be able to match that Violet," Enzo commented with a chuckle.

"Violet?"

Bella immediately shook her head.

"It’s difficult to match an S-Class Talent."

"Can you disappear like she can?" Enzo asked curiously.

Invisible was Violet’s innate Skill from her Talent.

It was S-Class.

There might be an A-Class version of it as well.

"Not exactly disappear. I can envelop myself in darkness. It’s effective at night," Bella replied.

"I see..."

Enzo figured the difference was still quite significant.

"Even so, my ability to kill monsters is definitely better now," Bella said.

"You should give it a try."

"I want to relax first."

Enzo smiled bitterly.

He had actually been hoping she would leave so he could focus on controlling Violet.

"Come on, eat first. I’m hungry again too," Bella said.

Fortunately, she didn’t invite him to do anything else.

Enzo was worried his body would become restless again.

He joined her for the meal since he hadn’t actually eaten enough at Rebecca’s place.

Only when he was with Bella could he eat without restraint.

While he was eating, he finally spotted the person he had been waiting for.

Abel Wilson had arrived.

His hair was still messy, and he was even wearing the same clothes as yesterday.

It seemed he had not only skipped bathing but hadn’t bothered to clean himself up at all.

His eyes cautiously scanned the surroundings.

Eventually, he stopped beside the very tree where Violet was hiding, without looking up even once.

Even if he had looked up, he still wouldn’t have been able to see Violet.

Enzo could only let the man wait while he himself waited for Bella to leave.

Fortunately, she didn’t stay long.

She had merely wanted to replenish her energy before leaving with high spirits.

Phew!

Enzo let out a sigh of relief.

"All right!"

He pressed a button.

Whoosh!

Violet leaped down.

"Who’s that?"

The man was startled and immediately pointed his spear upward.

At that moment, four silver claws appeared on Violet’s right hand—the weapon she had obtained the previous night.

Clang!

She casually slashed at the spear, instantly knocking it out of the man’s hand.

"You?"

He was stunned.

"Have you been hiding there this whole time?"

"Yes..." Violet replied indifferently.

"Do you mind?"

"No, of course not..."

Just Violet’s gaze was enough to make the man nervous.

"So where is it?" Violet asked.

"You promised, didn’t you? That we’d split all the treasures we found fifty-fifty," the man said.

"I promised."

Violet could only say that to stop him from hesitating.

Of course, he still looked unconvinced.

Nevertheless, he nodded.

"Follow me."

He took the lead.

They followed the path directly along the edge of the ravine.

His pace gradually quickened as they continued.

It didn’t take long before they reached the foggy area.

The fog wasn’t particularly thick, so visibility remained fairly clear.

It only looked dense from a distance.

"Look at that."

Abel pointed toward a massive tree standing among the other trees on the opposite side of the ravine.

The tree was still quite far away, yet it was clearly visible because of its enormous height.

"What’s special about that tree?" Violet asked.

"There’s a room inside it. I don’t know whether it’s safe in there. What I do know is that there are many monsters around it. One of them is a Level 31 Chicken."

"A chicken?"

Violet was quite surprised.

Compared to cattle, Chicken Monsters had extremely valuable meat.

Cow were relatively common, while chickens were incredibly rare.

Their meat also had a unique flavor.

Interestingly, it was said that once a Chicken Monster died, its body would shrink down to a normal size.

So, in the end, there wasn’t actually much meat.

"Yes. A chicken..."

Abel nodded.
