An Awakener with the Gamer Class

Chapter 94: Hold

Enzo’s hand began unconsciously caressing Rebecca’s soft, supple thigh.

He couldn’t help moving closer to her sexy body.

One impulse naturally led to another.

He couldn’t restrain himself any longer and eventually wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into an embrace.

It felt incredibly comfortable, even more so than holding Bella or Emma.

Of course, the biggest factor was the simple fact that the woman in his arms was Rebecca Morgan.

Seeing that she remained silent, Enzo couldn’t help leaning his face closer to hers. His other hand continued caressing her thigh without stopping.

But the woman’s hand suddenly pressed against his chest.

"Don’t go too far. You’re still too weak to handle my body," she said.

Hearing her voice, Enzo finally realized how far he had taken things.

He had essentially been taking advantage of her.

Even so, he didn’t actually regret it. Rebecca only stopped him when he tried to kiss her on the lips.

After observing her carefully, he noticed that the woman’s neck had turned slightly red.

So it seemed she wasn’t merely accepting their relationship in name.

She genuinely accepted him.

Enzo was still holding her body while she kept one hand against his chest.

Apparently, she was somewhat embarrassed and avoided his gaze.

Her lips were tightly pressed together as she endured the sensation of his hand on her thigh.

"I still have other matters to attend to. You should leave now," the woman finally said before pushing him farther away and standing up.

Enzo naturally couldn’t force the matter because the difference in their strength was simply too great.

After standing, Rebecca quickly headed toward the staircase leading to the second floor of the castle.

Enzo reluctantly suppressed the restless heat coursing through his body.

There was no way Rebecca had been joking when she talked about her body.

Talents that transformed the body really did have effects like this.

The difference in strength had to be minimized before two bodies could truly become compatible.

"I’ll reach Level 41 soon," Enzo said while Rebecca was still halfway up the stairs.

The woman stopped.

She glanced back at him for a moment before continuing upward.

’This is so frustrating...’

Enzo complained inwardly.

His head felt like it was about to explode from the heat coursing through his body.

Who knew what Rebecca intended to do after this?

Either way, Enzo had no choice but to leave.

He walked toward the door and continued down the road.

The neighborhood remained quiet.

Naturally, Enzo couldn’t help thinking about Charlotte.

If the woman had somehow been waiting for him and had even prepared a large breakfast for him, this would have become a serious problem.

After thinking for a moment, he decided to call Charlotte directly.

To his surprise, she answered almost immediately.

"Charlotte." Enzo spoke first.

"Enzo, what’s wrong?" the woman’s calm voice responded.

"Are you at home?" Enzo asked.

"Yes. I’ll be leaving soon. You’re too late if you wanted to have breakfast here. I already gave the leftovers to the cats."

Enzo fell silent.

He felt bitter upon hearing that.

She gave it to the cats?

Was that some kind of silent protest?

After all, cats had their own food.

Unless Charlotte actually took care of a lot of cats and simply shared her homemade food with them.

"I actually wanted to come to your place, but I ran into an unexpected problem." He could only explain himself.

"There will always be unexpected problems. Don’t feel too guilty about it," Charlotte replied in her usual calm tone.

"You’re not angry, right?" Enzo asked just to make sure.

"Why would I be angry? Do I look like someone who gets angry easily? If I’m not too busy, I’ll invite you over again later."

"Really?"

"Have I ever lied to you? Anyway, let’s meet again later. I need to get ready and head to Z City to take care of your building."

"Do you need any help?"

"No. Focus on developing yourself. Don’t worry too much about other people. Unlike you, I have enough support to make things much easier."

"Yeah..."

Enzo ended the call with a sigh.

Charlotte really was a true noblewoman.

She didn’t hold onto negative emotions.

Perhaps that was why he felt so comfortable around her.

Enzo was naturally aware that he was far too flawed for someone like Charlotte.

His mind dwelled on that thought as he walked back toward the Monster Prison.

He wondered if he should simply give up.

Yet there was a selfish part of him that refused to let go.

Charlotte had clearly given him hope, and perhaps she really was the woman he wanted.

Why should he back down?

Everything good that had happened to him was connected to all the good things his father had done.

He had even endured suffering before those good things finally came to him.

Perhaps it was somewhat selfish.

But so what?

Soon, the Monster Prison came into view.

It was already extremely crowded.

Bella should have arrived by now and should be somewhere inside.

He walked in without paying attention to the gazes of the people around him.

However, he didn’t see Bella.

Instead, he saw his two friends, Layla and Mila, standing right in front of the entrance to one of the cells.

"Is Bella downstairs?" he asked.

The two girls were slightly startled because they hadn’t noticed him approaching.

"Yeah..." Layla, who was somewhat short, answered.

"She was looking for you earlier. Where have you been?" she asked.

"Mmm, I had some things to take care of this morning..." Enzo made up an excuse.

"Just tell Bella that if she comes back upstairs."

With that, he continued toward his post.

He didn’t want to interrupt Bella while she was leveling. It would be better to let her finish first.

As soon as he entered his post, he received a message.

It was from Emma.

(Can we go out tonight?)

Pa!

Enzo slapped his forehead.

This woman really was impatient.

After thinking for a moment, he decided not to reply.

So what if they were dating?

The way this woman spoke to him didn’t even sound affectionate.

Enzo sat down, lit a cigarette, and released Violet, taking control of her as she left the Sanctuary.

Abel Wilson.

He had promised to take Violet to a place that supposedly concealed even better treasures.

Enzo didn’t expect Violet to find another Ascension Crystal.

Still, any treasure was worth fighting for as long as it could genuinely be considered a treasure from his perspective.

More importantly, Violet needed to kill that Level 31 monster.

If they were lucky, he would obtain a large amount of SP.

He was already looking forward to spinning the Gacha again, but he wanted his SP to reach 10,000 first so that the reward would truly be something special.

After all, the higher his level became, the more the System demanded from him.
