Spider-Trinity: Reborn Into Marvel Universe

Chapter 117: Killgrave

Once he had left everyone at the mansion again, just before leaving he received a kiss on the cheek from Rogue and Kitty.

When the girls did that, he saw that Jean had a slight frown and one eye turned golden. Once the girls moved away, Jean repeated the same thing, only a little closer to his lips. This action was not seen by Kitty and Rogue.

After receiving goodbyes from everyone, he shook hands and left for home.

-----

Stepping out of the basement elevator, changed into normal clothes, he walked to the main computer where Cortana was waiting for him with her arms crossed and a smile on her face.

"Did you enjoy your day off?"

"Yes, but you already know that since you saw everything," Peter said. Cortana’s calm face disappeared and was replaced by an irritated frown.

"Yes, I saw how that Red Head almost kissed you, and those other girls too," she spoke with distaste toward Jean and the girls, more so toward Jean, which surprised him with the level of emotion she was showing.

"Hahaha." He laughed at what Cortana said.

She did not find his laughter funny at all. "Sorry. It is just that I am surprised you are jealous."

"Jealousy?" she said with a frown.

"Of course I am jealous! And not of her, but of all the women around you! I am jealous that they can kiss you, touch you, that you go out with them. I am jealous that it is not me! I am jealous that I cannot kiss you, touch you, and that we cannot go out like a normal couple!"

She said this through tears, which surprised him with such a level of emotion. But what surprised him even more was seeing her cry.

Smiling gently at her, he sat down at the main computer chair and looked at her with genuine affection. She looked at him and then looked away.

"Cortana, look at me."

No response.

"Please look at me."

She turned around and looked him in the eyes.

"I know it is difficult. It is difficult to see the people you love while others get what you want. I know how difficult it is to endure, especially if it is with someone you spend most of your time with.

I understand that hatred, bitterness, sadness you feel every time you see someone being kissed, that incomparable desire you have to be you, to feel as if something inside you tears apart every time you see a smile and it is not you who caused that smile."

Cortana slowly approached him until she finally knelt in front of him and wanted to touch him, but she passed right through his hands. She tried again and placed her hands on top of his as if she were touching him.

"I understand every single one of your feelings, Cortana. That is why I only ask for one thing: time. Give me more time, and I will create a perfect body for you, one that resembles what I see in you, that beauty and elegance you always have. I only ask for more time, and I promise we will do everything I did with the girls. Can you?"

"I will give you all the time in the world, Peter. All I want is to be able to at least kiss you and feel it," she said while drying her tears.

"Thank you."

They remained silent for a short time, enjoying the time they had with each other. After a few seconds Cortana stood in front of him. Looking up, he saw that beautiful smile she always gave him.

"I found him."

"Who?"

"The person you feel disgust, repulsion, and hatred toward." Upon hearing that he thought of many people he hated in this universe. "Killgrave."

That name.

One he hated with everything he had.

A man he had sworn that if he found him he would not give a slow death. His calm face turned to one of anger and repulsion.

"Where is he?" he said in a deep voice, looking at Cortana.

"His base is located on 5th Avenue in Central Park."

He ran out to the underground cave, went down to the workshop, and put on the first Red Hood prototype.

Walking forward, he took a Nanocube, turned it, and threw it.

The Chevrolet Camaro Concept appeared.

Entering the car, he pressed a hidden button and in the middle of the panel a screen appeared where he entered some codes.

From outside the car, one could see how it was changing in some parts until it looked like a completely different vehicle.

Even the red color had become a bit duller.

A black bat symbol appeared in the middle of the hood.

A hatch opened in front of him and he accelerated at full speed.

After a few turns, he reached a dark area.

He waited a few seconds, and then a hatch opened in front of him, large enough for him to drive through and exit.

This gate was connected to an alleyway that was quite a distance from the mansion, just like in the Batman series.

The alleyway had some security to keep anyone from entering. He did not want to use the car and have someone appear right in front of him, causing a collision or having them discover the secret entrance.

He drove for a few minutes, and being close to the location it did not take long.

Once he arrived, he parked the car and made it mimic another model to blend in. He went to an alley and climbed up the fire escape. Using the grappling hook, he reached a higher position and saw the building where Killgrave was staying.

"Cortana, tell me everything I need to know."

"Kevin Thompson, also known as Killgrave, has several gangs throughout New York that sell different types of drugs and weapons. Thanks to you, those gangs have shrunk exponentially.

He also has a Meta-Human woman close to him, possibly a bodyguard and something more. I also discovered that he has some mental power. On more than one occasion, several people obeyed him and erased their security camera footage, even with the police present. I was quick enough to make a copy of every recording."

’Bodyguard, woman, Meta-Human.... Jessica! No, wait. It could be someone else.’

"Show me this woman."

"This is the woman," Cortana said while showing a picture of Jessica with Killgrave.

Seeing it, he clenched his fist and frowned.

"There is a probability that Killgrave is controlling that Meta-Human. I recommend being careful not to cause disasters. I will mark her room so you can enter. I have already deactivated any security that floor has."

"Understood." He fired the grappling hook and went to the room Cortana had marked.

’Wait, Jess. Your torment will soon be over. Just wait.’

"Happy hunting."

------

Today was the best day for Kevin Thompson, also known as Killgrave.

Entering his room at the Plaza Hotel, he recalled everything that had happened.

He met several women, had plenty of company, sold a good amount of merchandise, and nobody denied him anything.

After many attempts, he finally managed to establish a slight association with one of the biggest crime bosses in New York.

Not Tombstone, or Hammerhead, who surprisingly even in prison still controlled his men, though his movements were incredibly slow because of the spider.

Speaking of that particular nuisance, the spider had been causing him and his men a lot of trouble. If he ever found it, he would not hesitate for a second to bring it under his control. But this was not the time for that. It was time to celebrate joining Maggia.

What still kept him skeptical was that the syndicate had information about his abilities, which was unfortunate because he could not meet with anyone in person.

The conversation had been conducted online, which annoyed him because it meant he could not bring anyone under his control and seize the place.

Now more than ever, he would have to be careful about where he used his powers. That meant, unfortunately, his time off would be slightly shortened. A complete shame.

He looked at what he considered his most prized trophy: an incredible and attractive woman with a curvaceous, athletic body, long hair as black as night, and green eyes that strangely lacked the sparkle that most people have, making her look more like someone who was not entirely present.

"Well, Jessica, darling. I am in a very excellent and fantastic mood today, so let us celebrate. What do you say?"

’Say yes, go on, say yes, yes, yes, yesss’

"Yes," she answered in a monotone voice without any emotion.

"YES!" A smile appeared on his face at the response. "Okay, come on then...."

Despite being under Killgrave’s control, she was aware of everything that was happening.

She felt the humiliation, the suffering, the anger, the sadness, the guilt, and hundreds of other feelings.

She only hoped that one day she would no longer have to open her eyes, or that her control would end so she could kill the wretch who was doing this to her.

During all the time she had been under Killgrave’s control, he had used her as a tool, forcing her to use her police contacts so he could do his bidding.

He even got her fired as a detective from the New York Police Department.

All the time she spent getting into that position had been wasted by one individual, and she doubted that even if she managed to escape, they would let her return.

She was blacklisted, which prevented her from ever being a detective or even an officer again.

What tormented her most was everything he forced on her.

She just wanted to end this suffering. She wanted to kill the wretch with her own hands, or have him kill her. Either way, it would be a gift. At least that could make the guilt and other emotions go away.

She watched as Killgrave undressed, and a few tears began to well up in her eyes because she knew what was coming next.

But just as the wretch was about to take off his pants, she heard a voice.

A voice Killgrave also heard. Because she had no control of her body she could not see where it came from, unlike Killgrave, who turned around and saw a subject sitting on his sofa reading one of his books, in his right hand, with a gun in his left.
