My Yandere Wives Keep Making Me Stronger

Chapter 99: First Day At the Academy

The Next Day

Lucien awoke to the soft, golden glow of morning light filtering through the enchanted windows of the house he was in. He looked to his side and saw his wives, each holding one of his hands as they slept softly. Their breathing was gentle, their faces peaceful, their obsessive love temporarily subdued by sleep.

Cupcake rested on his stomach, curled up in a tiny ball, its scales glowing faintly with warmth. Its little chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm.

As for Alexia, she was back to the snake tattoo behind him. It had taken a lot of effort to convince both his wives to make her return. He knew from her actions that she would just follow him like a bodyguard to his classes, which would attract a lot of attention, attention he didn’t want. When he reasoned with them and assured them that he would be fine, they reluctantly agreed.

And today was his first day in the academy.

He nudged his wives gently. They stirred, their eyes fluttering open. Lilith was the first to fully wake, her crimson eyes locking onto him with that familiar, adoring gaze. She leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek.

"Good morning, darling," she murmured.

Seraphina followed, her golden eyes warm as she kissed his other cheek. "Morning, my love."

Cupcake rubbed its head against his face, chirping softly in greeting.

Lucien smiled, his voice warm. "No fight today. I got to prepare for class."

He rose and prepared for his first day of classes.

He had no idea that his monstrous talent had become a topic of discussion among the council of elders, a prelude to a calamity that would shape the future of Aethelgard.

He stood before a conjured mirror, checking what he wore. He adorned a deep navy blue uniform, almost black in certain lights. The fabric was smooth and cool against his skin. The high-collared tunic fit him perfectly, its golden embroidery curling elegantly along the collar, sleeves, and hem. The academy emblem, a golden tower rising from an open book, encircled by nine stars, gleamed upon his chest in brilliant gold. Gold epaulettes rested on his shoulders, connected by delicate chains to an ornate star-shaped brooch at his collar.

He fastened the broad navy belt around his waist, securing the elaborate golden buckle. The matching navy trousers fell neatly along his legs, their edges decorated with subtle golden lines. His reinforced navy boots rose to his knees, trimmed in gold, designed for both elegance and combat.

"Now this is looking like a military uniform. The only thing missing is a cap," Lucien laughed as he checked himself. "And also my handsomeness never fails to disappoint me."

He continued narcissistically, admiring his reflection.

Lilith and Seraphina watched him change into this, even helping him dress in some parts. Their eyes never left him.

"You look so..." Seraphina started, her voice trailing off. Her golden eyes burned with intensity, a familiar darkness creeping into her gaze. "You look handsome, darling. So perfect. It makes me want to lock you away where no one else can see you."

Lilith didn’t get left out as she continued, "Of course, he’s our darling. My personal drug that I never get tired of taking or inhaling. Should we lock him?"

"Yeah, I am also reasoning that," Seraphina held her chin in thought, her expression deadly serious.

Lucien twitched for a moment. Can’t they behave normal for a second? They were already discussing locking him up just because he was handsome.

In times like this, Lucien regretted a bit being handsome in his past life. Maybe if he wasn’t, he wouldn’t have attracted them.

"The calm, ladies. You know, I’m just going to class, right? Not going to war," Lucien said with a forced smile.

"Oh yeah, that brings another thing. Wouldn’t the girls or ladies be ogling at your beauty?" Seraphina said, her voice turning sharp and angry. The face of her darling was only for her to look at. No one else.

Meanwhile, Lucien was stumped. He felt like falling from her words. Why was she thinking of this now?

’Yesterday, when they were looking at me, why didn’t you complain about my handsome face?’

He was feeling tired from this. They were behaving like switches that turned on in certain circumstances.

"That’s true. What should we do?" Lilith said, falling into deep thought.

Lucien sighed. He couldn’t leave as they didn’t allow him until they solved this problem of theirs.

"Yes, what about a mask? That can prevent them from seeing his face," Lilith proposed.

Seraphina’s eyes lit up. "A mask. That could work. Something elegant, maybe silver with gold trim. It would hide his face but still make him look mysterious."

Lilith nodded. "Or we could enchant it so that anyone who looks at him sees a blur. They would know he’s there, but they wouldn’t be able to see his features."

Lucien stared at them. His eye twitched. "You’re seriously discussing masks? For a classroom?"

Seraphina tilted her head, her expression innocent but her eyes sharp. "Do you have a better idea, darling?"

Lilith’s voice was soft but firm. "We’re just trying to protect you. From wandering eyes."

Lucien pinched the bridge of his nose. "How about this? I go to class, I learn, I come back. No one gets locked up. No masks. No enchantments. Just... normal?"

Seraphina pouted. "Normal is boring."

Lilith nodded in agreement. "Boring and dangerous."

How’s it dangerous?

Lucien felt like shouting this out.

Lucien sighed again, longer this time. "I’ll be fine. I promise."

The two wives exchanged a glance. Their eyes held a silent conversation.

Seraphina finally relented. "Fine. But if anyone tries anything..."

"You’ll be the first to know," Lucien said quickly. "Now, can I please go to class?"

Seraphina smiled, stepping closer to adjust his collar. "You look perfect, darling. Don’t let anyone get too close."

Lilith pressed a kiss to his cheek. "We’ll be watching. Always."

Lucien nodded, grabbed what and headed for the door.

CHIRP!

Cupcake ran towards him, it jumped into his arms, licking his arms.

Lucien laughed, "Don’t worry, I am not going to take long."

Hearing this affirmation, it then jumped back, chirping again, saying its goodbye.

Lucien walked and opened the door before he glanced back at his wives.

"See you, later. No fight and don’t destroy the house." He smiled and said.

They nodded with a delighted expression. Seeing their normal expression as they watched him go, he was relieved, it seems the switch had been off.

He then closed the door and got out of the dormitory house.

But as Lucien closed the door and saw the vast academy before him, a question dropped into his mind.

’How am I going to get to my classroom?’

Lucien felt like crying, why didn’t he think of this before and asked Seraphina. Now he was in the academy, where he knew nothing about. Simply, he was lost the moment he closed the door.

"You’re done, Mr. Lucien."

Lucien heard a familiar voice. He turned to see a green-haired figure approaching him.

It was Sylas, the examiner, if his memory served him right, but Sylas looked different now. He wore a fitted deep crimson robe with the academy’s emblem, a golden tower rising from an open book, encircled by nine stars, embroidered in silver over his heart. The robe was tailored and elegant, with silver threading along the collar and cuffs. A silver belt cinched his waist, and his green hair was neatly tied back, giving him a professional appearance. He carried himself with the authority of a teacher, his sharp eyes gleaming with amusement.

"Mr. Sylas," Lucien called his name for confirmation.

"I am surprised you remember me. Let me formally introduce myself. I am Sylas Greenwood, a teacher of the Aethel Academy and your guide, sent by the principal to your classroom. And luckily, you are also in my class."

Lucien listened to this and was surprised. He first thanked the heavens and the principal for sending Sylas. If he had turned back and asked his wives for directions, that would be going into a lion’s den. They would follow him there, and only the heavens knew how it would drastically unfold in a way he didn’t like.

"Thank you, Mr. Greenwood. I really appreciate it," Lucien said, his voice filled with genuine relief.

Sylas smiled. "Call me Sylas. We’ll be spending a lot of time together this year."

He gestured toward the path ahead. "Shall we? Your first class is about to begin, and I have a feeling it’s going to be an interesting one."

Lucien nodded and fell into step beside him. Behind them, the dormitory house stood quiet, the faint chirp of Cupcake echoing from within.

Sylas glanced at him as they walked. "Nervous?"

Lucien considered the question. "A little. But more excited than nervous."

Sylas nodded approvingly. "Good. That’s the right attitude."
