Chapter 336: Left and Right Protectors
The two security guards looked in the direction where the dark figures had appeared and soon discovered they were two strangely dressed men in black robes.
The guards snapped to their senses, charged forward, and blocked their path.
The faces of the two men in black robes were a blur, their expressions indistinct.
Without a word, they headed straight for the Upper Bay Area.
The guards immediately scowled and shouted:
"Stop! The Upper Bay Area is off-limits to unauthorized personnel. Don't even think about causing trouble!"
The two guards snorted, drew their electric batons, and slowly closed in.
With weapons in hand, they were confident they could take down the two men in black robes.
Just then, however, one of the black-robed men vanished on the spot. In the next instant, he reappeared right in front of the two guards!
"Wh-wh-who... Who on earth are you?"
The two guards were frozen in terror, having never witnessed such a bizarre sight.
Before they could react, the black-robed man shot out his hands and grabbed each guard by the neck.
As he choked them, the guards' faces turned deathly pale with fear.
Then, with startling ease, the man in black lifted both guards off the ground. He looked completely unbothered.
The two guards finally realized they had encountered a legendary Martial Arts master, and their hearts began to pound wildly with terror.
They blinked their eyes desperately, wanting to beg for mercy, but the immense force was already suffocating them.
The black-robed man gave a cold smile and loosened his grip slightly. Only then did the two guards feel like they had been spared, and they began desperately gasping for air.
The man in black asked coldly:
"Which villa is Qin Tuo's? Tell me, now!"
The guard was terrified. He now understood these two were here to cause trouble for Qin Tuo.
Every guard knew of Qin Tuo's esteemed position in Half Moon Bay, so a look of hesitation appeared on the guard's face. He opened his mouth, but no words came out.
The man in black gave a cruel smile, his voice sinister as he said:
"If you don't talk, I'll snap your neck!"
Hearing this, the guard's lips trembled in fear. He quickly raised a finger and pointed to the villa at the very top.
"That one. That's Mr. Qin's villa!"
The other guard quickly chimed in, begging for his life.
"We've told you. Can you let us go now?"
The man in black glanced up at the villa at the top. Then, without another word, he tightened his grip.
The two guards let out a final, strangled cry as they were choked to death.
For the man in black, killing the two guards was as simple as crushing ants.
The two men in black robes dropped the guards' bodies where they fell and gazed up at the distant villa.
After a moment, one of the men snorted.
"Looks like this kid has some skills. Of all of Half Moon Bay, the Spiritual Qi is densest right where his villa is."
The other man in black shook his head and said with disdain:
"Let's go. Enough talk. Time to give that guy a little surprise..."
Meanwhile, inside the villa, Chen Man Ni had slept her fill and was sleepily getting out of bed.
Fully rested and in a good mood, she hummed a little tune to herself as she went into the kitchen to make a bowl of noodles.
Though Chen Man Ni was a terrible cook, making noodles was well within her abilities.
Chen Man Ni carried the steaming bowl of noodles to the living room, turned on the TV, and got ready to eat.
Suddenly, she was shocked to see two unfamiliar men in black robes sitting on the sofa.
The sight nearly made Chen Man Ni scream.
She quickly steadied herself and asked coldly:
"Who are you? How did you get in here?"
At the same time, Chen Man Ni's mind raced. 'What is their purpose? What do they want?'
Seeing the fear on Chen Man Ni's face, the two men in black robes revealed disdainful smiles.
They also noticed how extremely beautiful Chen Man Ni was, and an undisguised flash of lust crossed their eyes.
One of the men said arrogantly:
"Listen up, girlie. We are the Left and Right Protectors of the Blood Moon Pavilion. We're here to kill Qin Tuo."
The other man in black demanded in a sinister tone:
"Tell us where that bastard Qin Tuo is! Tell him to come out and face his death!"
Chen Man Ni went cold with fear. She now realized these two were Cultivators, and they were here seeking revenge on Qin Tuo.
She told herself she had to stay calm, but her voice still trembled.
"Qin Tuo... he's not home. You should leave!"
Chen Man Ni said, forcing down her fear.
Hearing that Qin Tuo wasn't home, the two Left and Right Protectors from the Blood Moon Pavilion were clearly disappointed.
Just then, however, the Left Protector, overcome with lust, licked his lips and grinned.
"Since that brat isn't home, why don't we have our fun with this little thing first? It won't be too late to wait for him to come home after. What do you say?"
The Right Protector beside him sneered and nodded.
"Yes, excellent. It's been a long time since I've had a woman this beautiful."
As soon as the words were spoken, the two Protectors prepared to pounce on her like ravenous wolves.
Chen Man Ni let out a terrified scream, turned, and fled toward the bedroom.
She wished she'd been born with two more legs; the short ten-meter distance felt like an impossibly long journey.
Seeing Chen Man Ni reach the bedroom door, the Left Protector wasn't the least bit concerned.
He suddenly snorted.
"Think you can get away, girlie?"
With a massive leap, the Left Protector soared through the air, landing directly behind Chen Man Ni in an instant.
"Heh heh... you have nowhere to run now, girlie. Why don't you be a good girl and come to me?"
The Left Protector let out a lecherous laugh and reached out to grab Chen Man Ni from behind.
In that very instant, a dazzling red light erupted from Chen Man Ni's body!
BOOM!
The red light slammed into the Left Protector's chest, sending him flying.
While flying through the air, the Left Protector cried out in shock:
"This isn't right! The girl has a Body-Protecting Dharma Artifact!"
He crashed heavily to the ground, oblivious to the pain, his mind reeling in disbelief.
And so, the two men could only watch as Chen Man Ni darted into the bedroom and quickly locked the door.
Chen Man Ni immediately piled every table and chair she could find against the door. Then, she braced her own body against it, her heart feeling like it would burst from her chest.
「At the Lige Hotel.」
Qin Tuo had already accepted many toasts, but his expression remained calm and composed.
He was just about to take another drink when he suddenly sensed the activation of the Body-Protecting Dharma Artifact!
