Chapter 66: Flight Risk
Chapter 66: Flight Risk
Rachel had been unavailable. That wasn’t something new. She was often very busy with her duties and always called or texted back when she had the time. The difference this time, which made Rick worry, was that her number was out of range. It meant she was somewhere in the world where the communication satellites didn’t cover. The trip to Italy was done by using one of the private planes the BSAA owned. A 11 hour flight that was mostly boring. Rick had taken a laptop to finish his report and gave it to O’Brian who also wanted a verbal one. It took some time especially the part where Rick had to explain why he did something and why he got a hunch.
If anything, Clive was impressed once again by the resourcefulness Rick demonstrated. The hand-made grenades from mixing chemicals found in a janitor closet had been quite a surprise and so was the use of a fire hose as a weapon to deal with zombies. The director of the BSAA seriously considered having Rick write a manual about survival in outbreaks. How to find weapons, how to make them and how to fight with them.
More than anything he understood why his code name in his former Black Ops unit was ‘Roach’. Eighteen months after recruiting him, it still baffled O’Brian that a seventeen years old kid found the strength to survive no less than five viral outbreaks in six months. However, he understood why Rick had been recruited for the kind of jobs the Black Ops performed on a regular basis.
Clive was more interested in the virologist Rick had talked to him about. He was pleased to hear that Annette wanted to join but couldn’t do so before January as she had obligations towards the University she was working at and her students. She couldn't just up and leave so close to the end of the semester. Or so Rick told him that lie but he was sure Annette would come through with it.
The head of the BSAA had written a simple e-mail to know more about her qualifications and experiences with B.O.W. and awaited an answer. Since Annette was acquainted with Rick, he had in mind that perhaps she had worked with him during Rick’s days in the army.
While the man had been busy making calls and reading reports. Rick spent his time playing footsie with Jill. When she gave him an irritated look, he signaled the toilet with a movement of the head. At first she hadn’t understood but when she saw his eyebrows move up and down suggestively, she smacked his head.
“Idiot.” Was all the comments she made before going back to the magazine she had found in a pile inside the plane.
“I was kidding!” He rubbed his forehead to make the pain go away. “I already joined the Mile high club years ago.”
“I don’t want to know.”
Rick sighed in surrender. He hated being caged like this without having anything to do. “Can I massage your feet to pass the time?”
Jill rolled her eyes but raised her legs and put her feet in his lap. Quickly, he removed her boots then socks and began applying pressure on a sole with his thumbs.
“Oh, yes!” She stifled an appreciative moan. “I should have let you do that years ago.”
“Next time I visit.”
She nodded eagerly while biting her bottom lip. “Definitely.”
Rick kept massaging her in silence until he changed foot. “Do you find it weird too?”
“That you’re massaging my feet? I would have said yes but after last night and this morning, I’d say no.”
“No, I mean about the mission,” He whispered.
Jill lowered her magazine to stare with scrutiny at him. “Why we weren’t told about Il Veltro’s return?”
“Yeah.” He didn’t raise his head to meet her eyes “Why send Chris and Jessica when we’re the ones involved to begin with? Why tell us only now when it’s clear it’s been a while he’s been aware?”
She thought about it for a moment. Everything Rick had said, she agreed with. It was suspicious but she couldn’t make sense of it. “You got any ideas?”
“A few.” Rick confessed. “None present O’Brian in a good light.”
Jill bit her lip but not to stifle another moan. This time it was because she didn’t like to consider O’Brian was hiding things from them. She knew better than to not explore possibilities however. “I’m listening.”
Rick started speaking what he had in mind then. “Either he doesn’t trust us,” something that was unlikely, Jill thought. “He didn’t want us on Il Veltro’s case. Or… He needed us for this mission, meaning he knew in advance about it.”
“Which makes him even more suspicious.”
After Wesker’s betrayal, Jill had opted for the ‘trust but verify’ approach instead of trusting her colleague blindly. The only exception being Chris and Rick. Even Barry, after his stunt in Spencer Mansion wasn’t as trusted although she understood why he had done what he did and had forgiven him long ago. She too would have gone along with Wesker had he threatened her loved ones.
Rick shared another idea he had. “I don’t think it will end with just checking on corpses, Jugs. One of us would have been enough. Heck, he would have been enough if he wanted to investigate low key.”
Jill agreed with that statement. Checking corpses? Any one could have done it even if it may have been linked to the F.B.C. A lower level agent based in Europe could have checked and depending on the results O’Brian could have talked to them about it.
“We can’t do anything but stay on our guard while we wait and see,” Jill simply said. They were stuck with only suspicions. She wiggled her foot in his hand and pushed against his arm with the other. “I didn’t tell you to stop.”
Rick rolled his eyes but did as instructed. Not for the rest of the flight. After a good fifteen minutes of massaging her feet which ended by a playful kiss on each of them, Rick had to find something to do again.
When he was in the Unit, he played cards, talked with his teammates, studied or sometimes had sex with Rachel in the toilets. Something Captain Walker always let slide and the others didn’t care about. On rare occasions, he simply took sleeping pills.
Right now? Rick had nothing. No text book. No sleeping pills. No cards. O’Brian was busy doing whatever a man in his position needed doing and Jill was reading her magazine and he would never interrupt her because he couldn’t settle himself down.
Without focus, his mind wandered into dangerous territory. The most dangerous of them all whose name was Claire Redfield. Quickly, he thought of something else. The first thing that came to mind was Annette.
At 37, the woman was a total MILF, the kind you could find in a porn video as the neighbour next door. Her bum was very slappable and he wouldn’t have minded sliding his dick between her breasts. How William Birkin had been more interested in a stupid Virus instead of his hot, sexy wife was beyond him. Had she been his, he would fuck her from Monday to Sunday until she couldn’t remember her own name.
Of course it was just a fantasy. He wouldn’t do that to Sherry.
Jill hissed at him from the side. “Are you serious?”
“Hm?”
Rick didn’t get what she meant by that until she used one of her feet in his lap, to rub his hard dick strongly and not in a gentle manner.
“Sorry!” He whispered loudly, putting a stop to what was happening. “I was thinking about Claire and…”
Jill felt a bit slighted. She and Rick had a wild night and a wild morning yet, he was still thinking about the woman who broke his heart. Twice. Granted the second time happened the previous day but that wasn’t a proper excuse. That was the thought that crossed her mind until, with her heel, she felt his dick soften.
“... I thought of something else to not feel utterly miserable and well…” He pointed at his crotch as if to say ‘here’s the result’. “Only thing that kept my attention long enough.”
Rick didn’t sigh in shame, nor even embarrassment. It was a sigh that made him look tired. To Jill it told a lot. For starters, Rick was completely done with Claire’s bullshit (and so was she) and the fact he couldn’t move on. Second Claire had done such a number on him that the simple thought of her, physically affected him. That was astonishing.
“I hope you weren’t thinking about me.” Her tone was harsh but both recognised it for what it was. Teasing.
Rick gave her a blank look. “That’s such a trap thing to say, Jugs. If I answer: no, it would mean you're not good or pretty enough. After what we did it would be very insulting. If I answer: yes, you’re going to call me a pervert or some shit and blow up on me for having you on my mind like this. So I plead the fifth.”
She grinned in amusement then because that’s exactly what she had in mind.
“You know…” Rick spoke with caution, his tone low and slow.
“Yeah?”
“If we… do it again… Should I buy… condoms?”
Jill stared at him longly then blink, as if he had said something that her brain couldn’t compute. In a way it was the case. “You’re sterile,” she whispered. “And you don’t get diseases. Did you lie to me?” Her voice steeled at the prospect of catching a STD. She would murder him if he gave her something or at the very least cut off his balls and cock with a rusty knife.
“What?!” His exclamation was a bit too loud. So big was the shock of what his big sister of choice had just said, that his control on his volume slipped. He got it back quickly. “No! I meant… you know, sperm. Not all women like to be…” He was searching for a way to properly convey ‘fill to the brim’. A polite way.
Thankfully Jill immediately understood what she meant. He may have had unloaded half a gallon in her after all. “No, it’s fine. I don’t mind.” She reassured him. “It’s a bitch to clean up, and the crusty feeling is awful when it’s dry, I’m not gonna lie but… It does make me cum harder, somewhat.”
“Oh… So it’s not if but when?”
Jill shrugged her shoulders. She had no plan to sleep with Rick again. The current state of their relationship being too new for her to project and prepare. However, she wouldn’t say no if it happened. The idea it could, was not an unhappy one but she wouldn’t be upset if their one time ended up to be just that.
“I don’t know what tomorrow has in store, so I’m not excluding the possibility.”
Rick nodded in both agreement and understanding. What will happen will happen and if that was Jill’s massive jugs bouncing up and down in a mesmerizing manner while she rode him like he was a stallion then he would embrace the moment and not complain about it.
