Chapter 128: Dawn Of The Endless Dream (6)
After a short while, Akasha opened his eyes, and as he did, he brought up the new functions gained with the evolution of the Domain.
----
[Divine Domain - Tier 21]
[New Functions: Skill Creation Room, Alchemy Room, Dual Isolation Barriers]
[Skill Creation Room - Allows any member to create completely new skills without the need for Divinity by using Dream Essence.]
---
[Alchemy Room - This room automatically creates pills and elixirs nonstop using the Divine Ranked Herbs around the Domain.
Can refine any new material or conceptual substance.
Can also force incompatible materials to fuse successfully.]
---
[Dual Isolation Barriers - This is a second barrier that fully separates the Mountains into its own independent realm.]
---
Akasha gave a small nod, seeing the new additions.
"Well, it’s nothing truly over the top," he muttered, "but more than enough for the current stage."
Not only that, but the Domain barrier also now protected against power twelve tiers above his total output, rendering him safe from any being up to Tier 69.
The Passive Divinity generation had risen to fifty thousand per day, and every supporting function—recovery, comprehension, resource growth—had scaled upward in quiet, satisfying increments.
He rose from the pillar and floated toward Luna and Yume.
----
The three of them stepped out of the Potential Condensation Chamber together, the cold of the frozen potential fading behind them as they began the upward path toward the peak.
Luna slipped her arm through his again, her pink-and-purple hair swaying in the mountain breeze.
"Now that the Domain is settled... I guess you’re ready for another evolution, huh?"
Yume’s cooler voice followed, her blue-streaked hair drifting like mist.
"Mistress... what makes you so sure this will lead to another evolution?"
They both knew that before Akasha ventured into multiple new worlds, he wanted to ensure his power left no room for regret.
He planned to use the mountain’s greatest gift—its ability to unlock potential.
Not long ago, he had combined his Potential Sense ability—technically losing it—and decided it was best to handle this before leaving.
Luna chuckled, glancing past Akasha’s chest toward Yume.
"Little Yume... be honest, you’re basically the embodiment of Lucid Potential," she said. "So, you tell me—do you think this will be some kind of instant transformation?"
Akasha stayed silent for several steps, his abyss-black eyes fixed on the path ahead. The question lingered, sinking deeper than he’d anticipated.
And before Yume could respond, Luna continued.
She let out a soft laugh, light but tinged with a sharp edge of insight.
"First... his eyes haven’t shown the slightest progress; his physique is lagging—especially for the rank of his star, you, Yume... and most of all, his race. We don’t even know its name."
Akasha’s steps faltered for just a moment.
"Well, you’re not wrong," he said. "I’ve been wondering about this damn race myself."
Every time he unlocked and assimilated a new bloodline, it never felt like he was adding something foreign.
It felt instead like something long dormant inside him was being allowed to surface.
The pattern was too consistent to ignore, and the implications were beginning to feel absurd even by his standards.
"There’s only one way to find out for sure then," Yume said with a faint smile, now a bit curious after realizing Akasha indeed had much to increase.
The three of them continued upward in thoughtful silence until the path opened onto the highest plateau of Lucid Winter’s Peak.
Here the air was densest with pure potential, thick enough that every breath carried a faint, electric sweetness. Soft auroras drifted along the ridges.
The frozen landscape glowed under the dim light of the seven suns, and the entire world of Kalpa lay claimed and quiet beneath the Domain’s barrier far below.
Akasha stopped at the center of the plateau, the cold wind stirring his black-and-white hair and the four black-and-grey horns that crowned his head.
He lowered himself into a cross-legged seat on the glowing snow.
Luna settled gracefully on his right, pink-and-purple hair swaying as she leaned lightly against his shoulder.
Yume sat on his left, cooler and more composed, blue-streaked hair drifting like mist in the mountain air.
In the next moment, Akasha let his eyes drift shut.
Darkness pooled behind his lids, calm and complete, until a gentle purple status screen slowly unfurled within that secluded space, glowing faintly in the quiet of his mind.
[Would you like to view your destined potential?]
He nodded inwardly, and the screen changed.
[Akasha the Infinite Dreamer
Race – Infinite Dream Unus (???)
Divine Cosmic Eyes – The Infinite Eyes of Unus]
Akasha’s eyes tightened behind his closed lids, a faint murmur slipping from his lips.
"Unus?"
The name lodged itself in his thoughts, fitting perfectly like a puzzle piece finally found. He dug deeper, searching for more details, but all that surfaced was the racial description.
----
[Infinite Dream Unus – The Infinite Dream Unus is a one-of-a-kind variant of the Unus race.
It is the living embodiment of endless becoming through dreams.
Composed of the four **** sources, it stands at the epitome of lucid possibilities.
It can continuously evolve by dreaming new forms of being into reality, never reaching a true endpoint.]
----
A slight frown tugged at his face, the description intentionally elusive, giving form without detail.
Almost at once, another prompt appeared.
[Would you like to realize the first stage of this potential, or alter it?]
Akasha sat still for a long moment, weighing his choice.
"Hmm... I really wonder, is my mother’s race so special?" he muttered. "Or did she purposely leave it out of the racial pond?"
He was curious—he’d never seen a race called the "Unus" on the list, not even a single variant.
If his mother had hidden it, that was one thing. But if the race was so powerful that a mere racial pond couldn’t even contain it, then that was something else entirely.
"And... messing with something I don’t even understand would be pretty stupid. So, until I learn more about the race... I’ll stick with it."
The cautious part of his nature made the choice feel simple and solid.
He settled into the decision with ease, embracing the clarity it brought.
HUMMMMMM!!!!!!
The moment the choice locked into place, the entire world of Kalpa began to tremble.
On the Topside, mountains shuddered and oceans stirred. On the Underside, the newly healed dark oasis groaned under a deep, resonant force.
A vast cocoon of pure potential and dream essence formed around Akasha, sealing him completely from the outside world.
Luna watched the cocoon settle into place and let out a soft, knowing chuckle. She glanced at Yume, eyes gleaming with quiet amusement.
"Fufufu~ I told you so."
Yume tilted her head slightly, blue-streaked hair drifting.
"Well, Mistress... How long do you think it will last this time?"
Luna gave a light shrug, already rising to her feet.
"That... I have no idea about. However, in the meantime... we should go be nosy around the world of Kalpa."
The two women linked arms and stepped away from the sealed cocoon, leaving the highest plateau of Lucid Winter’s Peak in quiet flashes.
