The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride

Chapter 375: Odin’s Confession 2

As the boat thudded softly against the dock, Venus took a step back, her eyes wide with astonishment as she touched her lips, her gaze locked onto Odin’s.

"Sir, the—" The sailor began, but Odin silenced him with a simple gesture.

"I know you feel the same," Odin’s voice was low, almost a whisper, yet it carried the weight of months of unspoken feelings. "I’ve seen it—the way your heart races when we’re close, the way your breath hitches, and the spark in your eyes. Let’s end this charade, Venus. Let’s stop pretending we’re enemies when we both know it’s more than that. I want us to be together, not as enemies anymore, but as lovers."

There were so many things Odin wanted to say, emotions he had never fully understood or expressed. The words felt clumsy on his tongue, incomplete, as if they couldn’t capture the depth of what he truly felt for her. Perhaps it was because love had been absent from his life for so long that he struggled to articulate it now.

Venus hesitated for a moment, doubt flickering in her eyes. "Do you really think I’m suitable for you?" Her voice was soft, laced with uncertainty. How could she not doubt? Love had always brought her more pain than joy, leaving behind nothing but bitter memories.

Odin’s expression grew serious as he stepped closer. "I don’t think there’s anyone more suitable for me than you, Venus. No one else challenges me the way you do. You’ve kept me on edge, made me think, made me feel—things I’ve long forgotten. You occupy my thoughts, my heart. I can’t imagine a life without you in it. I’ve never apologized to anyone for my actions. But to you, I did. That’s you’ve turned me into. If I’ll stay away from you, I’ll go mad," Odin asserted, revealing more of his buried feelings.

Venus giggled, lowering her eyes before meeting Odin’s confused gaze. "I can’t believe I’ve swayed your heart, Odin," she said with a smile.

Odin returned her smile, though it was tinged with a hint of disbelief. "Well, even I can’t believe it," he admitted, his voice softening. He then straightened, a determined look crossing his face. "Say it now," he demanded.

"Say what?" Venus arched her eyebrows, feigning ignorance.
