The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride

Chapter 374: Odin’s Confession 1

"That’s not true. It’s for everyone," Odin replied. Why was it so hard to convince Venus!? When someone else would ask her, she would easily go, but with him all she had questions in mind.

"Odin, you know the significance of the ball, don’t you?" Venus asked, her tone laced with curiosity and a hint of skepticism. She couldn’t fathom why Odin, of all people, wanted to take her to such an event. They didn’t share the kind of relationship that warranted such a gesture.

"Hmm, where a man and a woman dance together," Odin replied with a casual nonchalance in his voice.

"Yes, and they typically have feelings for each other," Venus continued, her eyes searching his for any hint of an ulterior motive. "In our case, there’s nothing of the sort. Besides, I don’t think I should be part of such a gathering. It’s better to avoid unnecessary gossip. I hope you understand. You should take the woman you fancy instead; that would make more sense. I’ll head home in a local carriage," she suggested, her voice steady, though there was an underlying tension in her words.

Odin regarded her quietly before speaking. "I doubt there’s any woman more maddening than you," he finally said, his tone unexpectedly earnest. Venus frowned in response, meeting his gaze. For the first time, she saw something in his eyes—an emotion that left her momentarily speechless despite he called her mad.

Odin was never one to shy away from expressing his feelings, yet with this woman, he found himself hesitating.

"Thank you for being with me today," Venus said softly, bowing her head in gratitude as she prepared to leave. Just as she turned to walk away, Odin reached out and gently took hold of her hand.

"I believe in give and take," Odin murmured, his voice carrying the same conviction as when he had first spoken those words to her during her imprisonment.

Venus couldn’t understand why Odin was so insistent on taking her to the ball, especially if he had feelings for someone else. The confusion gnawed at her, making her uneasy.
