Chapter 362: Kingdom Policy

“Don’t be disappointed. It was expected.”

Hashirama said loudly to Tobirama as they returned from the capital of the Kingdom of the Blue Dragon, his tone carrying a hint of consolation as he tried to ease his brother’s disappointment after their failure to gain support.

In truth, the reason for their visit this time was to try to gather support for their escalating war with the Uchiha clan, which had recently grown more intense, along with the rising number of casualties.

Therefore, the Senju clan needed allies, or at least some support that would help them endure and gain the upper hand. Even so, they had not placed much hope in succeeding, because the Kingdom of the Blue Dragon’s policy in the world had been well known since its establishment hundreds of years ago: it did not interfere in conflicts that took place outside its borders, and at the same time, it never supported one side against another, instead maintaining complete neutrality.

This policy had been firmly established throughout the world with overwhelming force and harsh lessons for anyone who tried to violate it.

The kingdom had destroyed many powerful forces, clans, and kingdoms that had attempted to test it, and the result was always the same: complete destruction and disappearance from existence.

Therefore, although Hashirama and Tobirama had tried to gain the kingdom’s support during their meeting with the current king, this had not been their original goal for the visit. They knew that their request would be rejected.

Their main objective was instead to visit one of the major trading houses that their clan had been dealing with for years and make a large deal to purchase the raw materials and food supplies their clan needed, especially since the world had experienced a severe drought in recent years, which had affected food prices, causing them to rise to insane levels and leading to new conflicts over food and water.

But this only applied to the rest of the world. As for the Kingdom of the Blue Dragon, even the word drought had become nothing more than a term mentioned in the history lessons taught to students in its many academies.

The kingdom had mastered many powerful technological techniques for managing water with extreme efficiency, achieving the best results with the smallest possible amount.

It could cultivate deserts, transform barren lands into gardens, and produce enough crops to feed its population and even export them, all thanks to science and technology and centuries of research and development.

And this was not limited to this field alone. In every field, the Kingdom of the Blue Dragon stood at the top in terms of technological advancement, far ahead of every other region in the world, because of the large number of scientists from different fields within it.

It housed the greatest minds in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, medicine, astronomy, and every science imaginable, providing them with everything they needed in terms of support, funding, and freedom, turning it into a global center of innovation and a source of every new technology and every invention.

This made the other kingdoms and clans look upon it with admiration and envy, trying to imitate it, but they usually failed because they lacked the foundation upon which the kingdom had been built: science, reason, discipline, and patience.
