Chapter 197: Breakthrough To Star Commander (Part 3)
Seven days later...
Inside the training ground of Vivian’s mansion, two figures moved rapidly, their swords clashing against each other.
William held Blood Moon in his hand as beads of sweat trickled down from his forehead.
Opposite to him, Victoria easily deflected all of William’s moves with ease and smiled slightly.
"My Lord, do you want me to lower my level? I feel like I am bullying a child. It’s not fun at all."
William’s mouth twitched at Victoria’s teasing, and he continued to focus on his sword techniques.
Compared to before, his sword techniques were vastly different.
Previously, they were extremely fast with simple movements. But now, along with the extreme speed, his moves were filled with complexity.
Sometimes his sword would change direction midway, or the force of his sword would increase tremendously upon contact.
If it were someone who was at the same level as William, they would have long been defeated by him because of his chaotic sword moves that were completely unpredictable.
But Victoria was someone who had been with Vivian since childhood, and her strength was no worse than Norman’s and other powerful figures’.
In front of such a being, no matter what William did, he couldn’t even touch the hem of her clothes.
But it was precisely the effect he wanted.
The sword techniques he was currently using were something that he had learned from Norman.
In order to quickly familiarize himself with these sword techniques, he needed a strong opponent to push him to his limits.
Although he sparred against Norman during their training, Norman had limited time and couldn’t accompany him for long.
The other students in the class were no match for him, and if he sparred against them, it wouldn’t be much help to him.
Normally, he would have chosen to spar against Vivian. But William did not know what kind of chaos she was causing that even after a week, she hadn’t returned.
Helplessly, he could only ask Victoria for help.
Since she was Vivian’s most trusted subordinate and knew about William being her Lady’s husband, Victoria naturally agreed to help him.
But this petty woman still held a grudge against him for marrying Her Lady behind her back. As such, she would often let out some sneering remarks during their spars.
William fought against Victoria for nearly half an hour before finally stopping.
Because of his Immortal Blood Heart, he wasn’t tired, and even his breathing was even.
He closed his eyes and, after going through everything, took a deep breath and nodded inwardly.
’I have mastered almost all the basics Professor taught me. I should be able to learn his advanced sword techniques from next week...’ He thought before looking at Victoria.
"Thanks for your help, Victoria."
Victoria took out a towel and water bottle from her storage ring and handed them to William, acting like a proper maid.
"No need to thank me, My Lord. Although I have to clean such a big house all by myself, trim the grass and plants in the garden, water the flowers, cook, wash clothes, and do many other things. As a humble maid, it’s still my duty to drag my exhausted body to work overtime if my Master’s Husband asks me."
William’s mouth twitched at her remark, and he looked at her helplessly.
"Can you stop holding a grudge against me? As I said, it was Vivian who performed the ritual without inviting anyone."
"What are you talking about, My Lord?" Victoria looked at him with a shocked face. "How can a lowly maid like me hold a grudge against you? Even though you sneakily married My Lady, whom I raised like my daughter since she was a child, there is no way I will hold a grudge against you. If I lie about it, the heavens should just send down lightning to punish me."
Rumble!
As soon as she finished speaking, thunder rumbled outside, and the clouds that had covered the city for the entire day finally began to rain.
William: "..."
Victoria: "..."
Both of them looked at each other without saying anything, their faces expressionless.
"My Lord, are you hungry?" Victoria asked calmly as if nothing had happened.
William was about to nod when he suddenly remembered what happened a few days ago and asked cautiously.
"You are not going to make a stew again and accidentally add three pounds of sugar to it, right?"
"Sigh..." Victoria sighed and looked at William in sorrow. "My Lord, I have worked so hard for you in the last few days. You didn’t praise me for all the excellent work I did for you. But just because I made one simple mistake, you just grabbed onto it like it’s the undergarment of a woman and won’t let it go."
William gulped down the water from the bottle and expressionlessly looked at the woman who might be older than his great-great-super great grandmother.
"I am on a diet. Please don’t make anything for me."
"Huh?" Victoria was taken aback by William’s words.
She stared at him, and seeing his expression that seemed to say, ’I will die but won’t eat your poisonous food,’ she clicked her tongue.
"As expected, young people these days really despise the food made by us old folks."
William rolled his eyes upon hearing her and walked toward a closed door at the end of the training room.
"I am going to break through to the Star Commander. If Liam comes looking for me, ask him to wait for some time."
Victoria’s expression changed slightly when she heard William’s words, and she immediately appeared behind him.
"Stop." The playfulness in her voice disappeared, and she spoke seriously.
"If you are going to break through, you need to be in perfect condition. Come and eat something first."
"But your fo—"
"And I am not asking you. I am telling you to eat before attempting the breakthrough..." A small smile appeared on Victoria’s face. "Before she left, My Lady told me to take care of you. So, little one..." Victoria flicked William’s forehead.
"Listen to your elders, okay, or..." She swung her hand and made a slapping motion.
"Disobedient children will have their bottoms spanked."
