RE: LORD OF TIME

Chapter 196: Breakthrough To Star Commander (Part 2)

The combat class continued, and the students sparred against each other.

Using his soul sense, Norman observed the battles of all the students simultaneously, providing them with instructions whenever he saw them making a mistake.

Liam and Alicia were sparring against each other, both of them just using basic fighting techniques to hone themselves.

Liam had learned many fighting styles through his bloodline memories and needed to practice them thoroughly to bring out their true potential.

Alicia, on the other hand, had also learned basic combat since childhood, and fighting against Liam provided her with good experience.

"How about we go to the street market? In the narrow alleys of the market, there are many stray dogs. We can find a suitable target for you there."

Liam’s mouth twitched at Alicia’s words, and he stabbed at her in anger.

"I told you I am not going anywhere. If you are so interested in dogshit, you go and eat it yourself."

Alicia blocked Liam’s attack and was pushed back slightly.

She rubbed her sore hand and sneered.

"Are you going back on your words? You really have no shame."

"So what if I am going back on my words?" Liam shrugged his shoulders. "It’s not like I have to keep that false reputation like you nobles. You can call me a liar, bastard, whatever you want. It’s not like I am losing something just because of your words."

Now it was Alicia’s turn to be speechless, and she looked at Liam with a twitching mouth.

"You are really... shameless."

"Thanks for the compliment," Liam accepted her words with a smile on his face and attacked again.

William stood aside and listened to their conversation without saying anything.

Unlike the others, he wasn’t sparring against anyone, as there was no need for that.

He had already sent his opponent to the infirmary, so there was no one to spar against him.

William glanced to the side, his gaze sweeping over the commoners who were sparring.

’I wonder how long they will wait?’

The combat class lasted for nearly three hours.

During this time, Norman not only provided everyone with individual guidance about their battle arts and fighting styles, but also taught basic combat styles to hone their fighting skills.

Although he was most proficient with swords, it didn’t mean Norman had no knowledge about how to use other weapons.

At his level, mastering the basics of any weapon was just child’s play, so he was easily able to provide guidance to all the students.

How to properly hold a weapon?

How to gather force while using weapons?

Footwork, posture... And many other basic things.

Norman spoke about everything crucial during the class.

Even William was able to figure out many things that he was doing wrong. After all, even though he had the memories of the original timeline, he was still far weaker and less experienced than Norman, even in that timeline.

’As expected from someone who used to be the captain of the Royal Guards...’ William sighed as he summarized the points that Norman had talked about.

Soon, the class ended, and Norman waved his hand.

"Alright, all of you can go back now," He said in a flat voice. "Remember to practice well what I have taught today. If I don’t see even a shred of progress in you during the next combat class..."

Norman did not finish his words and just gave them a friendly smile.

But that friendly smile looked a bit chilling in the eyes of the students, and all of them shuddered, nodding like chicks.

"Good," Norman nodded when he saw their reactions.

He wasn’t someone who liked to do useless work.

But since he took the liberty to work like a horse instead of taking a sweet nap, he definitely wanted to see results.

If these students simply didn’t work hard even after all of his efforts, he would simply teach them like other instructors instead of putting in extra effort.

William didn’t linger any longer, and once Norman finished his instructions, he immediately left along with Alicia and Liam.

As they walked out of the training area, William felt many gazes on him.

But none of the students came to him to join his faction.

William wasn’t surprised by this, as he had already expected it.

But Liam was different, and he couldn’t help but feel anxious.

"Why is no one coming?" He asked in a low voice. "We are about to leave the Battle Arena, but not a single student came to us."

William was about to speak, but Alicia responded first.

"It’s because they are waiting."

"Waiting?" Liam looked at her in confusion. "Waiting for what?"

Alicia glanced at William beside them and responded calmly.

"Waiting to see if there will be some consequences for him beating down Edrin so badly earlier."

"You mean..." A look of understanding flashed in Liam’s eyes.

William chuckled when he heard Alicia and shook his head.

"It’s normal for them to wait and see. What if these guys join my faction and the next second, people from the Stormvale Family come causing trouble for me? Wouldn’t they get caught up in it for nothing?" William said and glanced back at the students who were leaving.

"But it won’t be long. In a day or two, there should be some people coming to join us."

Alicia looked at William curiously and asked.

"You seem very confident that the Stormvale Family won’t cause any trouble for you for beating down Edrin so badly."

William smiled slightly at Alicia’s words and showed her a mysterious smile.

"You will understand soon why I am so confident."

As he spoke, William couldn’t help but think about Vivian.

’She should have already started to make her move against those nobles, right?’

"Ummm... Excuse me."

Just as William was lost in thought, they heard a voice from behind and turned around.

Seeing the person who was calling him, William was surprised for a moment before his lips curled upward in a faint smile.

’It seems I won’t have to wait.’
