Uchiha Style: Child’s Play
-Takumi's Mindscape-
Pov: Takumi Uchiha.
I pull tightly on the chains around my wrists and bask in the glory of using my adult body once more- even if it is chained.
"If it isn't the fire of hope in the... well flesh isn't the right word is it?" The little green flame hiding in the corner sparks.
Fire of hope? One of my most obscure nicknames... he knows more about me than I thought.
"I can't call you little speedster all the time. What is your name?" I command.
"My name? I am unnamed of course, what use does a weapon have for a name?" The flame chuckles.
What does he want from me?
"Direction, purpose, distinction. A good tool must be distinctive and solid- allows the tool to know it's purpose and reinforce that idea of purpose every time someone states the tools name" I answer.
"Ahhh... Varutis, the ancient northern rune for blade- is that why your royal family is usually named from such a primitive language? To reinforce your purpose?" The flame bickers.
He is expressing his knowledge, why? To let me know that he knows- but for what reason?
"Of course" I acknowledge.
A good name can reinforce an idea in a young child... increasing the chance for that child's Aura to become a certain aspect.
It is at least one of my Grandfathers methods to aspect control and guidance.
"So what are you doing in here again? You cannot force me out of this mindscape- you are still chained down by me" The light tells me.
"I will break these chains eventually. I am merely here to negotiate the terms of your temporary stay within my body" I explain calmly.
"You have no power over me" He states.
"I have all the power I need. I can get you removed anytime I wanted, the specialists in the village could break your chains easily" I reply coldly.
"Then why here? Why come to talk to me?" He asks.
"I would rather not deal with the annoying consequences of another finding you- I would much prefer negotiations" I simply state.
"Oh? You negotiate? That's new, didn't you slaughter the Kingdom that tried to negotiate with you?" He mocks.
"Those snakes? I chopped their head off twice before that kingdom offered a deal, they were corrupt from the ground up and needed extermination" I chuckle.
If he thinks that my regrets and guilt is my weakness in this negotiation than he is sorely mistaken.
He is also targeting the wrong mistakes I have made.
"Sure~ but that doesn't change a damn thing, you don't want to be found out and I will keep annoying you until I get what I want!" The speedster snickers.
"Assimilation into this world? A new life?" I ask.
"Victory over you- at any cost!" The flame brightens.
"What is your obsession with me. You are just fleeting chakra, no longer the assassin made to kill me" I note.
"Oh- but I am the same. It was you who changed here, don't expect me to give up my life because you did" The flame flares toward me.
"Then to beat me you have to grow stronger" I inform.
"Of course, and I will happily wait to gather more information on this 'chakra' you use" The speedster tells me.
"Then let me buy your silence. I offer the memories of me learning this worlds tongue for you to feed on for a few years" I smile.
It will make his victory much easier to achieve and obtain- as well as granting me silence.

The flame thinks.

Pov: Takumi Uchiha.
I open my eyes once more and smile.
The voice within my head sits silently, an agreement has been made.
And all it took was an hour of negotiations and talk.
I get up and stretch again.
Now if you are still listening I can answer your question. We came to this mountain because I got bored with staying inside the village all the time, that is all.
Hn. I needed this walk.
I start walking down the mountain and back home, hopefully no one was bothered by my disappearance.

Ritsu should be done with at least one of my weapons by now, if he couldn't get to it I have the time to apply the finishing touches.
A one handed battle axe that looks more like a wood cutting axe than anything else.
I will use this Axe primarily for now, focus on training a simple set of forms for it if I wish to keep up my weapon switching like last life.
A thin piercing dagger, I don't particularly have problems with Kunai but I would rather trade the gardening tool for a close ranged piercing weapon.
It will be my off-handed weapon, allowing me to sneak in a good strike when my primary weapon creates an opening, the forms will be as simple as that possibly.
A spear as well, I could use something to wield with both hands- however I will train it after the axe.
After all three have been granted forms customized to the understanding of this worlds power- I will use whatever fits best in any situation.
Training them will be intensely easy however. In fact I probably won't see combat for months after having dusted off my skills with blades.
I wonder how many weapons I can store on myself?
I never had access to these weapon storing scrolls before- I would normally pick a favoured weapon before beginning a hunt and switch my weapon up when I got to a safe location.
In my youth I loved the many swords- my young adult years spanned the understanding of many polearms and after that I got into daggers and knives.
I dabbled in so many weapon types in my thirties... but after I hit 36 I started using just about anything and applying a sharp edge to it.
I was nothing if not unrelenting in my training, meaning that I doubt my skills would rust that much.
They haven't with kunai and Tanto at least.

It's good to think by myself again- glad I handled that nonsensical fool as soon as possible.

-A few days later-
Pov: Fugaku Uchiha.
I put my pen away the moment Takumi steps into my office without knocking, perhaps not hiding his presence is his way of knocking.
"Takumi. You have been missing for a month I believe" I tell him.
"Hn. You summoned me here for something?" Takumi talks back.
"I just stated the reason" I fold my arms and lean back into my chair.
"My disappearance was a small trip to clear my head, nothing more" He states.
"The Hokage is annoyed by your antics. Saburo's discipleship mostly, he has been put under my responsibility since you left- you are lucky that he is strong enough to keep up with our clans teams" I frown heavily.
...
"He wants to be the second command in your team- leading a group trained by you under your name into dangerous tasks, if you can guess- you would be the captain of this team, that means they will also accompany you into your missions- probably higher ranked missions" I explain.
"I thank you for your work Clan head- I will worry over his assignments for now" Takumi tells me.
"I will ignore your antics Takumi- but if the Hokage pressures me due to your responsibilities then I will no longer honour our deal" I warn him.
"I told you that I will worry over Saburo now. That means my 'Antics' will no longer bother you- understood?" Takumi stares into my eyes with determination.
Hn? Where is this energy coming from- talking to me like an equal... this child continues to surprise me.
"I doubt that with your recent performance, that anything will come from your empty words" I focus my gaze to meet his.
*Throw- Catch!*
He suddenly throws a scroll at me.
"The method to trusting me is simple. Watch me perform as I have stated" Takumi smirks.
"You grew a bigger ego. Perfect" With a cold tone I sarcastically state, as I open the scroll.
?
"Give that to your child, when he has it down then come get me to teach him more" Takumi explains.
"I wanted you to impart your taijutsu experience and talent- not a scroll" I frown even more.
"If he cannot complete that scrolls training then he will fail to learn anything from me" Takumi turns on his heel and walks out.
Arrogant child.
I inspect the scroll further...
But I suppose there is a reason I let you be so arrogant.

'This taijutsu dissects the Academy style and removes all the limiting factors of that style, the user of this scroll is expected to have learnt the Academy style or a similar level of taijutsu before practicing this taijutsu'
Not like the Academy style at all... but loosely ties in some forms and structures to easily allow someone who has learnt the style to then learn this one. Impressive, as expected from him.
I read further and gather some notes-
-This Taijutsu un-simplifies the Academy style and enhances it to one of three very different variants.
An offensive version which uses ones better reflexes and perception to stay ahead of the enemy in every moment, cornering the target and causing them to become overwhelmed by sidestepping the targets every move and predicting each action they take.
'... Making the target a thing to play around with- a fool in the puppeteers hands'
Hn? I see, this entire jutsu is entirely based on the enemy being a genin or lower, perhaps if you master this style it could be used on chunin.
And it's strengths are the Uchiha's strengths.
The second version is more to the Shinobi playstyle-
A variant dependent on you knowing where the target is and being able to stay just outside the targets visual range... the notes even warn against using this on a Hyuga.
Quick strikes that eliminate the enemy when you see the right opportunity. The opportunity born from paranoia, the target unable to locate his enemy and panicking.
'If you cannot directly play the target like an instrument than this method let's you watch him make a fool of himself all by himself'
The third variant leans on the defensive side, reinforcing basic blocks and giving advice on how to block or dodge many forms of attack. Using the Sharingan to predict what attacks are coming and the common movements associated with feints and fake-outs... an additional section on using minimum effort to block and dodge attacks.
Some ninjutsu defence advice as well...
'If you cannot control your target or the environment around you then this variant focuses on controlling the one aspect you have full authority over. Yourself'
The most basic version of this style- but it is more effective than any other 'stepping stone' taijutsu designed to build a good foundation.
For the Uchiha at least- it focuses very well on how someone with a sharingan can use these methods.
Or rather the methods were built with a sharingan in mind.
It will do for now, Itachi is talented- I can see that even from his young age... he will grow strong with or without Takumi's guidance- I can only hope that this teaching that Takumi does utilizes that talent and gets Itachi to grow strong even faster.
This style can also be distributed to all the Uchiha clan, I will have our elders examine it and instruct any Academy student to learn it- even if it is only a C-rank taijutsu it is one that will bring great foundations to our clans future children.
Perhaps some of the older genin and chunin may benefit from learning this as well... time will tell.
...
I look to the open door and sigh, getting up to close it.
Hn. I will let Takumi off for now- but if the Hokage forces more work onto my shoulders because of Takumi than I am not letting him off with just another warning.
I have a pretty busy week ahead of me so I will be unable to make any chapters for next Monday (16/3/26), I was barely able to make this chapter this week :/
