He touched briefly on the elimination of an A-rank target from the Assassination Manual.
His main focus was a different matter entirely:
"Chief, I ran into one of Uchiha Madara's birch-bark subordinates again, and I overheard them mention the Valley of the End.
I suspect the Valley of the End holds some significance to Uchiha Madara. He might have a secret base hidden inside.
I can't say for sure, but I'd like to investigate.
Uchiha Madara's movements over the past two years have been concentrated in the Land of Rain. Even if there is a base in the Valley of the End, it's likely abandoned. It's not urgent and the payoff might be small, but if Uchiha Madara left behind some kind of trap, the risk is immense.
Taking a single squad is too dangerous, so I'd like to request that two squads carry out the investigation together."
Yellow Dog nodded repeatedly. Fox always handled his tasks with a steady hand. "The Black Ant Squad can't easily leave the village," he said. "They have to monitor the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki and act as messengers for Lord Hokage's orders.
