Stepping out of the Command Headquarters tent, Homura Mitokado, Yellow Dog, and Yako all breathed a sigh of relief.
The massive victory in Yellow Dog's ambush and the collective pressure from the higher-ups had forced Danzo to swallow his pride.
After exchanging a few words with Homura Mitokado, Yellow Dog assembled his battalion and said:
"From now on, Fox is the acting battalion commander.
"Fox, your final mission on the Land of Whirlpools battlefield is to receive the reparations from the Hidden Mist Village and return the Twin Swords Hiramekarei to them."
"Understood, Lord Yellow Dog."
Yellow Dog had officially become a member of Konoha's upper echelon.
The heads of departments like the Jonin Council, the Anbu, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Military Police Force, along with the commanders of the major battlefields, made up the village's top brass.
A battlefield commander like Hatake Sakumo, however, would find his authority severely diminished in peacetime.
