Chapter 461: Are You Pitying Me?
A white-haired figure appeared at the gates of the Hidden Leaf.
"The Spiritual Toad Sage who wanders the ninja world has returned to Konohagakure! Let me see if there are any changes to the village!"
Seeing Lord Jiraiya standing atop a toad twice the height of a man, the gate guards did not step forward to question him.
Jiraiya looked around through a telescope, scanning the Hidden Leaf.
"It's completely changed... completely changed," Jiraiya said as he observed the village. "Tsunade has been the Domestic Affairs Advisor for a few years, and the village is developing nicely.
"So many construction sites. The Hidden Leaf is truly booming.
"It's a pity the great ninja war is imminent. Everything in the Hidden Leaf is going to have to hit the pause button."
As if the view wasn't satisfying enough, the toad beneath Jiraiya leapt up and landed on Konoha's perimeter wall.
The guard squad in the watchtower near the gate was shocked to see someone daring to land on the village wall. They were just about to drive the intruder away or even make an arrest, but upon closer inspection, they realized it was Lord Jiraiya and immediately dispersed the chakra in their feet.
