Chapter 311: Too Few Elite Jonin
Yako used reverse summoning to return to the village.
He went to the front of the izakaya, grabbed a bottle of sake in the dark, and drank by himself.
In the darkness of the night, Yako pondered how to increase his strength.
Raising his chakra reserves presented a problem: there were too few Elite Jonin, and not enough suitable targets among them.
Elite Jonin—equivalent to Kakashi when he first started leading a squad in the original story—were very rare in the ninja world.
Ideally, he would farm chakra from an Elite Jonin, revive, and immediately kill them. Only then could he permanently eliminate the threat and avoid dying completely by falling to the same person twice.
Currently, there were no more than ten Elite Jonin in Konoha. The pool of candidates he could farm chakra from and safely execute right after was extremely narrow.
His growth in strength required careful planning; he could not afford to stagnate.
Tomorrow, after reporting to the Anbu, he would draw up a list of Elite Jonin from both Konoha and enemy villages.
