Fast and Furious: I Control Everything

Chapter 275: Operation Begins

"Hey, how many more days are you staying in Las Vegas?"

That morning, on the day of the operation, Perkins finally opened her eyes.

She saw that Hunter had already changed clothes and looked ready to head out.

She knew he had been having a blast in Las Vegas lately.

Every day he went out, and once he left, he stayed gone for more than ten hours, usually not coming back until deep at night.

Perkins had wanted to tail him and see what he was doing.

But her injuries had not fully healed, and after one attempt she was discovered.

The next day, she could not even get out of bed.

After that, once the payment for the contract came through, she stopped caring as much about what Hunter did every day.

Her wounds still were not fully healed, so at night she would push herself hard, and during the day she would sleep and eat when she was hungry.

It was a somewhat lazy life, but oddly enough, she did not hate it.

Still, after a while, it got boring.

So when she saw Hunter getting ready to leave again, she asked.

Looking at this female assassin, whose favorability score with him was probably already above eighty by now and who seemed to be growing more and more dependent on him, Hunter smiled.

"Relax. I am going to the casino again today. Tomorrow, we can leave."

Perkins was a smart woman, and he had already hinted to her before whether Willy Bank, the other Las Vegas casino boss who was also her target, had been killed by Hunter that night.

He had never given her a direct answer.

But Hunter felt that Perkins had probably figured it out.

Because over the last few days, when they were in the middle of things, she had more than once hinted that her neck was missing something.

If she were wearing a diamond worth more than two hundred and fifty million dollars, that would be perfect.

Hunter naturally acted like he did not understand what she meant.

It was not that he was reluctant to hand over the jewelry he had taken from Willy Bank by chance.

It was because he felt Perkins had not yet been fully conquered.

Perkins rolled her eyes at him as soon as she heard that.

Hunter had been saying every time he went out lately that he was going to play in the casino.

But she knew very well that this Asian young man had extremely strong self-control.

He was not the kind of person who would get addicted to gambling. He was definitely busy with something else.

But if Hunter did not want to say, she could not figure it out.

So she lazily waved her hand and stopped asking.

Hunter smiled, gave her a few more instructions, and soon left the hotel where he had been staying for more than a week.

By the time he arrived at the warehouse where Danny and the others usually trained, everyone else was already there.

And not just them.

Ruben, who had not shown up for several days after being stripped of six million dollars by Hunter, was also there.

When he saw Hunter arrive, Ruben, the sponsor of the heist and also a Las Vegas casino owner, flashed a look of hatred and malice.

Hunter pretended not to notice, but he understood that Ruben probably had not learned his lesson yet.

After the operation was over, that slightly racist old white man might still come looking for trouble.

A few days earlier, Hunter had already sensed that someone had been tracking him and had even noticed the hotel where he was staying.

But he was not worried.

Perkins was no easy target.

The hotel had weapons too, and if Ruben tried to use her to threaten Hunter, Hunter would not need to lift a finger. Perkins would give them a lesson they would never forget.

Still, Hunter was not the kind of man who would leave himself a problem either.

"It looks like after this operation is over..."

"That guy can be dealt with too."

Hunter walked casually over to Yuan.

Since they were both Chinese, he had a pretty good impression of this shorter fellow countryman.

And Yuan was different from the others.

After seeing how Hunter had dealt with Ruben and easily squeezed six million dollars out of him, Yuan seemed to have decided Hunter was the real thing.

He was seven months older than Hunter, but he was willing to call him big brother.

And when he learned that Hunter had an almost photographic memory and wanted to master more skills, Yuan not only took the initiative to teach him the circus tricks he knew, but also passed on his family's ancestral Twelve-Route Kicking Technique.

Hunter could tell that the Chinese kid was trying hard to curry favor with him and latch onto his thick leg so Hunter would help him make money.

But Yuan's motives were pure and did not come with any hidden agenda.

That made Hunter like this Chinese compatriot very much.

He had already quietly decided that Yuan would be part of his future core crew, and he had begun observing and evaluating him as well.

"Okay, Hunter is here too."

"We begin the operation at six."

"Yuan will hide inside the custom-made suitcase. We will first send you into the vault, and once you get out, you need to work with us as fast as possible to open the vault."

"Hunter, you and Linus will start stealing valuables in the casino once Yuan has entered the vault. Take as many valuable items as you can so the casino feels the pressure as soon as possible."

"The rest of you will handle your own roles and wait to support and cover the others."

"Understood?"

"Understood!"

The replies were scattered, but Danny did not care.

He looked at the oldest man in the crew.

The white-haired man looked at least seventy.

His name was Saul Bloom, and he was a very skilled con artist.

For this job, Saul would play the role of a European arms dealer.

He would make direct contact with Terry Benedict and find a way to get the suitcase with Yuan inside sent into the vault.

"Saul, you alright?"

Saul was getting on in years, and his heart had apparently been giving him trouble in recent years.

If he had not been so experienced at fraud, and if he had not been able to convincingly play the part of a wealthy old-money European, Danny would have wanted to assign the role to someone else.

Saul knew what Danny was worried about, but he said nothing.

He simply raised a thumb, signaling that he was in great shape.

"Good."

Danny took a deep breath.

This heist, done to win back his ex-wife and teach his romantic rival a lesson, had reached the point where it could no longer be delayed.

So he continued.

"Alright, then."

"Check your watches."

"We start exactly at six."

"You all have a few hours left."

"Rest if you need to. Get your makeup and clothes ready if you need to disguise yourselves."

"Gentlemen, there is at least 150 to 160 million dollars in cash waiting for us in the vault beneath the Bellagio."

"Success, and we split the money."

"Failure, and we all go to prison together."

Hunter looked at the fired-up Yuan, while out of the corner of his eye he caught the vicious look Ruben was giving him.

A smile curved on his lips.

This was going to be fun.
