Chapter 63: Goodbye
Shortly after receiving a repeated confirmation from Ray about his desired gift, George nodded and made sure to draft a blueprint to be sent to him.
"Where do I send the draft to?" George inquired.
"To Section A, Number 68," Ray replied flatly. That was his assigned dorm, and he felt no need to hide about it.
After all, every student could check which dorm belonged to them.
It wasn’t a breach of privacy because there were times when students were ordered to deliver things to other students within the academy on behalf of the professors.
Therefore, the student dorm information wasn’t kept private, but the security to enter was highly secure.
Even when a student was assigned to deliver something, there was a special magic formation that would open up to receive the said delivery.
As for trying to breach a dorm that wasn’t yours... let’s just say nobody dared to test what the outcome would be.
If they got caught, the least they would need to worry about was expulsion.
"Very well, you can wait for the good news." George nodded and really bid farewell this time.
It appeared that he was in a rush but had delayed the matter for quite a while.
"Wow, if it wasn’t for Broke Sam being a child and unable to take care of herself, George wouldn’t have to rush like this." Ray was quick to pin the blame on the barely recovered Samantha.

’Oh, it’s just too easy to ragebait people. I’m such an annoying person.’ He complimented himself silently.
Others might be ashamed to be called annoying, but definitely not for him.
He would bask in the glory of being addressed as the annoying guy.
"You just love taking advantage of others!" Samantha hissed.
"Oh, then give me back the food!" He extended his hand and asked for a return.
"Hmph!" She quickly snorted and began to gobble the food. "No take-backsies. If you want it back, then you can only beat it out of me. But what kind of man hits a woman?"
"The kind who obliged gender equality."
"..."
"Moreover, my maid is a woman. If I order her to beat you up, she will do it."

Samantha suddenly froze and slightly turned to Belva. It was as if she was asking for confirmation whether she would really obey the order.
To her bewilderment, Belva simply shrugged and flashed a helpless look.
There were no words, but the action was quite crystal clear that she would indeed follow the order if commanded to do so.
’What can I do? He’s the true owner of the contract.’ Belva sighed inwardly. But then again, he never actually used the contract once to force her to do something against her wish.
"See, Belva’s on my side, Broke Sam." Ray chuckled and crossed his legs.
"Tsk, whatever." She rolled her eyes and sulkily ate the food. As for the nickname, she could only begrudgingly accept it. She was too weak to even fight him, much less be able to defeat Belva.
While the trio enjoyed their lunch in a somewhat peaceful manner, outside the cafeteria, George encountered two people.
"If it isn’t the well-known second-year George Windall."
George’s expression remained unchanged as he greeted him.
"Good afternoon, Fourth Prince." He then glanced at the Fourth Prince’s companion and was unsure of who they were.
’Another lackey of the Fourth Prince?’ That was his thought process. He didn’t have a good impression of the hypocritical Fourth Prince.
Thus, anyone who could get close to him was more or less the same type of person.
Sylas noticed George’s gaze on William and promptly introduced them.
"Oh, this is also a first-year student like me, William."
William was about to wave at him as a hello when George simply replied with an okay.
"Anything else?" George still had to head back to the Windall Workshop and prepare for the gift he promised Ray.
"Are you in a rush?" Sylas remained polite and explained, "If not, how about we get a meal and have a nice conversation?"
Someone like George Windall was extremely useful to his influence and political standing if he managed to rope him into his side.
"No need, I just ate." George flatly rejected the invitation.
Sure enough, Sylas’s expression changed slightly. "Is it because of William here that you’re somewhat uncomfortable?"
"What?" William was startled by why his name was suddenly brought up.
"That’s it, I’m leaving." By now, William already had a clearer understanding of Sylas’s personality.
The two of them could never be friends.
"Go ahead." Sylas didn’t even bother making amends either.
Ever since he had taken in William, everything had been going to crap.
The Professor who supposedly evaluated him with good marks was suddenly injured, and all the scores he earned vanished in a puff.
From their tone, it was stated that he had just provoked someone who had a close relationship with a fearsome professor and caused him to receive trouble.
Like, what was the coincidence?
When did he even offend anyone that could probably rouse a professor’s interest when the semester hadn’t even begun?
To those who were curious and couldn’t think of the said professor, it was stated long ago.
Professor Margaret, who had beaten up Professor Clark.
And Professor Clark was the one who had given Sylas a hint in advance as repayment for the favor that the Viren Household did for him in the past.
’Was I wrong?’ In the meantime, George was slightly surprised to see William’s attitude and how unresponsive Sylas was being.
"Now that he’s gone, shall we have a proper talk—" He extended his hand out, seemingly offering an invitation again.
"Goodbye, Fourth Prince."
George directly walked past Sylas and caught up to William for a proper introduction.
The crowd nearby almost laughed when they saw the dignified Fourth Prince extend his hand out and was ignored completely.
’George Windall... very well. You don’t accept my kindness and chose to be hostile, huh.’ Sylas retracted his hand, turned around, and walked away.
