My Seed Gives Systems In The Apocalypse

Chapter 40: Mr. Foolproof Plan

While the chaos in the room unfolded, a man named Adrian was currently rallying a small group of 6 outside the backdoor.

It was night. The surroundings were lit by a gentle, dim moonlight while some distant screams and sounds of gunfires could still be heard.

Even at this time.

The group followed Adrian’s lead, walking after him as they made their way through the already safe guarded porch area before reaching the iron swingdoor that connected the storage area to the roads outside.

They all shivered, not because of cold but because of the sounds of distant growls that scared them like never before.

Yet, they gulped down their salivas and suddenly flinched when they heard an absurdly loud gunshot ringing inside the storage room.

Adrian quickly took control of the situation, "My friends, our partners are still inside and in great danger! We do not have any time to waste! We will make those entitled pricks regret ditching us like we didn’t matter! Who’s with me?!"

"ME!" Several men shouted with emotion, as their hesitation cleared up slightly.

"Then follow through with the plan!" Adrian shouted again, not worried about attracting the zombies as that was their intention all along!

Not only that, his entire group quickly separated, everyone running in a different direction as Adrian ran towards a car parked nearby.

A cruel grin tugged at the corner of his lips as he looked at the iron door to the storage room.

Without hesitation, he kicked the car’s hood with all his might.

A thud came, but nothing happened as he frowned. But then Adrian leaned down and picked up a brick that was placed under the front wheel of the car.

There was a brick under each of the tires, probably due to a handbrake issue. But Adrian couldn’t care less.

He smashed the brick on the windshield, causing it to shatter with a loud noise and into thousands of pieces.

Not only that, the headlights of the car began to blink while the car’s alarm blared at max volume.

Everyone from the unchosen group glanced at each other as they gulped. And without any other thought, they quickly scrambled away and began running back into the storage room!

Adrian was the last one to come, as he was currently holding a metallic pipe he found, banging it on the iron door to cause a larger commotion.

Outside, a swarm of zombies had rushed towards the storage room from the backdoor after hearing the car’s alarm blaring so loudly.

They no longer walked as slowly as they did in the day.

"ZOMBIES?! WHY ARE THERE ZOMBIES?!"

"Oh my god we are all going to die!!!"

"WHO OPENED THE GATES?!"

"Where can we even run?! Every exit is trapped!"

"Who did this?!"

"I remember that I was sleeping... this must still be a nightmare, right? I must be lucid dreaming, right...?"

"Ew! Stop clinging onto me in this darkness, bastard! Who even are you!?"

"HEY! Those are my breasts, not your stress balls!"

*Slap*

"RUN!"

The entire store room had fallen under panic as everyone screamed, shouted and did everything they could to cause a commotion.

People began to push each other, pulling out their phones and turning on their flashlights as they looked around in worry.

Jenny hadn’t expected any of this to happen either as she hurriedly hugged Fredrinn’s arm who was standing in front of the door besides her.

He felt her soft breasts pressing against his muscles, but this wasn’t the time to enjoy such a sensation.

Understanding her panic, he pressed his other hand on her luscious blond hair, stroking them gently as he said, "Calm down. I won’t let you die."

Surprisingly, after hearing the confidence behind Fredrinn’s words, Jenny indeed calmed down.

She hugged his arm even tighter while pointing her flashlight towards the door.

At that time, two of the unchosen were standing guard beside the iron door while the car’s sirens blared outside.

Adrian and the others were rushing inside, and Fredrinn could already hear the distant zombie growls approaching.

To make matters worse, Adrian wasn’t content with the chaos already.

The moment he came near the iron door, he banged his metallic pipe against the door with all his strength.

Obviously, with his meager strength, he only managed to dent the iron slightly. But that wasn’t his intention at all. He was intentionally hitting the latch area, trying to deform it so the latch won’t close...

While also making sure to make as many sounds as possible.

"This would lead to casualties from your group as well, you dumb fuck." Fredrinn’s calm words drifted to Adrian’s ears, who only smirked.

"No it won’t. We have a foolproof plan."

"Oh yeah? What is it? Hoping that zombies feel satisfied with just our corpses and decide to let you all go?"

"Of course not." Adrian scoffed, "I obviously won’t be giving out my plan to you, so yeah... best of luck surviving, you awakener. You will need it."

"Wait." Fredrinn said suddenly, making Adrian pause for a moment.

Adrian glanced outside, and a couple of zombies had managed to stagger towards the outer iron swing door and were now making their way towards the storage room, thanks to all the panic and chaos.

In less than a minute, they would enter the room and there was nothing that a couple of awakeners like Fredrinn and Jenny could do to stop all of them.

Especially when there were no lights turned on yet.

"You said that you all wouldn’t die because you have a foolproof plan...?" Fredrinn looked at Adrian with confusion while Jenny was barely resisting her urge to flee.

How was this man so calm even when a horde of zombies were approaching!?

"Obviously." Adrian scoffed, before turning away to run away from the door.

"I see..." Fredrinn nodded to Adrian’s words, "But I think that your foolproof plan had some flaws." He shook his head.

"Oh yeah? Sure." Adrian didn’t seem to believe him.

"You failed to account for this." Fredrinn said calmly, and before Adrian could react, another *Bang* resounded throughout the room.

"Thanks for speaking so much and allowing me to calculate your position, Mr. Foolproof Plan." He added sarcastically.
