"Hello, you must be Mr. Lu’s wife, right? I’m Lin Jingyun, the wife of Minister Zhang Yuanjun. I’m older than you, so feel free to call me Sister or Sister-in-law."
"Sister Jingyun, hello."
Although Shen Nian wasn’t particularly familiar with the positions at Lu Cheng’s workplace, she at least knew what the title of ’Minister’ signified.

Before Shen Nian could even reply, her stomach gave the answer for her.
Hearing the GRUMBLE GRUMBLE from Shen Nian’s stomach, Lin Jingyun burst out laughing.

After saying that, Lin Jingyun pulled Shen Nian downstairs without taking no for an answer.
However, just as the two of them were heading downstairs, the door across from Shen Nian’s apartment opened again. Liu Fanglan peeked her head out, watched Shen Nian and Lin Jingyun’s departing figures, and snorted with ill intent.
At first, Shen Nian was worried that Lin Jingyun would take her to her home. After all, she had just arrived and Lu Cheng wasn’t around; visiting someone’s house felt a bit inappropriate.
Shen Nian was relieved to learn that Lin Jingyun had also been planning to go to the cafeteria.
The two of them chatted idly as they walked toward the cafeteria, attracting quite a few stares along the way.

’These were Lu Cheng’s colleagues. Their presence was a reminder to Shen Nian that this was the place where Lu Cheng worked so hard.’
