Shen Nian hadn’t really noticed before, but Liu Fanglan’s words put her talent for being loud on full display.
Shen Nian’s heart sank. If she let Liu Fanglan continue her loud-mouthed tirade, she’d likely never have a moment’s peace.

’After all, I bought a lot of fragile items. If Liu Fanglan’s ’clumsy hands’ broke a few more of them, my heart would truly ache.’
"That’s not necessary, Sister-in-law Liu. I can manage on my own."
"Alright then. I have kids at home, so I should be getting back!"
Liu Fanglan had gotten what she wanted, so naturally, she had no desire to stay and help with the work. Besides, the gift from Shen Nian was so nicely wrapped; she was dying to rush home and see what was inside!
Watching Sister-in-law Liu finally walk out the door, Shen Nian let out a sigh of relief and quickly shut it.
She turned to look at the lace fabric, now ruined beyond use. Shaking her head, Shen Nian could only take it out and set it aside before starting to unpack her other belongings one by one.
’At the very least, this place needs to be livable by tonight.’
After several hours of hard work, Shen Nian looked at the transformed apartment and finally broke into a satisfied smile.
"Finally done! I hope Lu Cheng likes it when he gets back!"
