But, so did an opportunity to gain knowledge older than the world she had known as she found herself in a trial for guardianship of a library filled with secrets forgotten by the world.
    Liesel was once a young genius, expected to be one of the empire's greatest assets of her generation, but her soul had been afflicted with an incurable curse.
    Without a soul able to cultivate, Liesel lost all her prospects for the future and ended up as a Soul Seeker—an expendable unit whose sole job is exploring unknown realms to assess their dangers. Now that danger brings her a new hope.
